Ideal do a family break”
We had a lovely couple of days staying at this hotel with the kids. The pool was ideal and very safe for children. We used the hotel as a base to get into Edinburgh and even accross to Falkirk to see the kelpies.
Fabulous with ample space & super comfy beds ”
Free parking but further out from the city.
Great fantastic stay”
Will certainly be back
Close to airport, easy to go to city center by taking tram”
Very close to airport. Free parking provided for overnight-stay clients. Didn't drive to city center as worry will be hard to find parking slot. Tram station to city center is about 6-8 mins walk. Hotel room is old with very soft bed.
Very poor parking had to circle the car park several times on arrival at 6.00pm to get the last parking space. Cars were parked everywhere even on the grass and almost up to the entry road. Breakfast very good but evening meals pricy with day one meal very small and poor value for money. Staff at hotel very good but over the phone before visit very unhelpful. TV didn't work properly could only get half the channels.
Great location and price for night out in city ”
Cheaper than equivalent more central hotels. This is minutes from the tram and bus stop, including the Airlink 100 which runs all night. The Leisure facilities, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and very small pool are clean but not fancy but then the room costs reflect this. . All staff friendly and polite. Good value.
Upon arrival lady told us about the breakfast and we agreed. Paid directly to hotel. ”
She advised to take for all 3 days as we had early tours booked for the Scotland highland we missed the breakky we advised her to refund the 2 days brekky money as our flight is is at 5am. They just refused so 2 days worth of money went down the drain. Absolutely rubbish buffet manager very grumpy and coffee machine not working no greetings upon arrival nothing.
Stopped for one night, the reception staff, spa facilities and room were excellent. The room was spacious with a large (at 46") Smart TV. We were very impressed with the luxury and the facilities. In my opinion, although we didn't use it, the food in the restaurant was well overpriced. I inquired about the cost of breakfast and was taken aback when told that it was £24 EACH. This I found to be excessive and unnecessary, they would get more clients to take breakfast if it was offered at a reasonable rate. Nevertheless it was an enjoyable overnight stop.
Handy location ”
We were visiting relatives in Edinburgh and had our grandchildren with us. The room was excellent as it was an L shaped room with our bed in the main part and the children’s round the corner, giving privacy. There was a swimming pool which helped entertain the children. Towels and bed linen changed every day. Handy location for tram and bus to get to airport or town centre. Also large out of town shopping centre round the corner. The only criticism is the ‘fridge’ in the room was just a box. I required a cool place for my granddaughters antibiotic medicine. I had to put an ice bucket with ice in the box to keep it cool. The bar manager was very understanding and gave me fresh ice each day.
Airco defect warm like hell”
off road parking, nice breakfast, bad bed”
bed was so uncomfortable, was unreal, seriously worn mattrass. You would expect the bed to be most important thing in a room. Shower/bathroom OK, no free water, some light fixtures didnt work, and AC Unit terrible - too loud, and took ages to work. Windows never locked properly. TV was at least an appeasement. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna good to make up for non-sleep.
An American hotel in Edinburgh”
My family and I spent a couple weeks in Scotland, and this hotel was the last one before returning to the US. It is a fairly new, clean, well run hotel right next to the surprisingly big Edinburgh airport. Perfect hotel, except for the price. If you can get a good deal, I highly recommend it.
Airport hotel ”
The hotel is very handy for the airport - 10min if that in a taxi. The room it’s self has been modernised with a smart tv, new furniture and a comfy bed. The bathroom however is dates but clean and there is no air con. Dont make the pool the only reason you stay here - it's very dated and the changing rooms are really disgusting.
Comfortable and very clean room Staff friendly and helpful Location greet Good volue
Not so comfortable”
Rooms were ok, felt a bit old school, what hotel doesn't have free wifi in the room, couldn't sign for anything and pay after, where is the trust!! Wasn't so bad but I would recommend it
No point staying so far at High prices”
Prices are very high with respect to location, amenities and hospitality. Much better hotels available in the city with good prices.
can be better”
The reason for me to stay in this hotel is due to there isn't too much availability from other hotel on 3rd, Dec. 2016. Maybe too much tourists in town to visit Xhristmas market. As it is first time for me to be in Edinbough, so I stayed here, but the information from Agoda donesn't mention too much on how to get here. The next day I found out the airlink100 is call at this hotel, if the information can reveal earlier I will not take taxi to get there.
convenient to airport”
close to airport with convenient bus stop out front.
Big room at reasonable price. Due to early flight, we left hotel at 5:00am. They did not prepare breakfast for us though I booked the room with breakfast.
ok for one night cause close to airport but too far from ctr of town for longer. stay away from the hamburgers!! worst ever. not sure what they made of, but def need reciprocating saw to eat.
