Affordable B & B Near The Airport”
EJ Pension House is an affordable Bed and Breakfast near the airport that offers peace and quiet. Stayed here for two nights. The only difficulty I had was finding a ride to downtown Puerto Princesa and back, as the hotel is around 500 meters off the main road and you have to walk to Rizal Avenue Extension for public transportation.

I highly recommend EJ to everyone stopping by Puerto. We stayed here for one night as we arrived in the evening from Manila. We were on our way to Port Barton the next day. We arrived late because our Air Asia flight was delayed (not unusual as 2 out of 4 of my Air Asia domestic flights were delayed). Sonny greeted us and was very accommodating in giving us the family room instead of the room with one bed. My friend and I prefer separate beds for better sleep. The room had a TV and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious and we were off. It was not until after Port Barton and El Nido that we realized how great EJ is. We actually wished we had stayed at EJ longer, but we were on a time crunch. It was the nicest place we stayed at. We did not mind the location because it is close to the airport. Sonny and Elizalde (the owner) are so friendly and welcoming. Stay here and you won't be sorry. =)

Feels like home”
Friendly staff just like they are your friends in the past life hehe... The pension is so nice it feels like your in your own home. The breakfast for 3 days were so delicious. Concern-oriented staff, like what happened on our UR tour our tourist guide named Marlon was always in a hurry that we did'nt like so they called his agency about his attitude and said that we do'nt want him again to be our tour guide on the next day at Honday Bay... Overall experience was so great! Thanks EJ Pension till next time we meet again...

Good place to stay for a night (transit) as a backpacker”
EJ Pesion House is driven in the spirit of Christianity: helpful, friendly and welcoming. It's a good place, I got a clean air-conditioned room (a bit soapy floor after the previous cleaning, though) with a good bed and a bathroom with hot water, but no mirrors. Breakfast was not included upon booking but was added to my reservation, free of charge. The owners/workers were very pleasant and welcoming. Outside my house/apartment I had my own bench, which was great in the evening. The common area was clean and greeny, and the residence itself finds itself in a quiet environment with friendly locals. The entry to the residence requires passing a guarded gate, adding an extra sense of security. Outside the gate plenty of tricycles will be waiting to take you to wherever place you want to go. The city proper (downtown) is only 5-10 minutes away. Nearby are small and very simple stores, but they've got the essentials. If you want more than that you must go to the city proper.

Great accomodations with even better staff! ”
3 friends and I stayed at PJ Pension House for 5 days and we absolutely loved it. We were a little skeptical about what kind of accommodations we had signed up for but we were more than pleased when we arrived. The staff were so friendly and were very eager to help with anything we needed. The room was great with 4 beds and our own washroom. Each morning we were greeted with smiling faces and immediately asked if we were ready for breakfast. Breakfast was included in our package and the staff made it for us each morning. All four of us agree that this was a fantastic location and we would be more than willing to return.

the pension is located a short ride from the airport and downtown. the room is basic but clean. nice surrounding garden. the staff is extremely helpful although his english is not good. do not use the tricycles standing around the corner from the pension. they asked for much more. instead just walk out to the main road or flag one down in case they come by. do book the underground river in advance. very worthy to visit.

Small, simple and soooo lovely! Nicest staff we ever met in a hotel that would literally do anything for you. Not only that they organized our trips, but they also prepared us a free, delicious breakfast! Plus, they were highly caring about your well-being. The rooms were clean, the air condition powerful, there was warm water, a comfy bed and the wifi was fully working just outside the room in the sweet garden. Would definetly recommend this place and will come back as soon as I can! I am already looking forward to the next stay. Thank you for everything :)

Lovely staff, extremely helpful. Perfect located near the airport, but quiet location and for 40 pesos a tuk tuk will bring you to the centre of the town. Wifi works (that's not everywhere the case in the Philippines, buy a local sim), good shower and ac. Rooms are clean, for this price, good!

Friendly Staff / Clean Room / Very Affordable”
TIPS: BOOK IT HERE IN AGODA BECAUSE IT'S CHEAPER THAN PAYING WHEN WALK-IN We booked a standard room for 2 person and we wanted a 2 separate bed. During arrival, the caretakers (ate and kuya) upgraded our room to family size with 1 queen sized bed and 1 single bed for free. They're very accommodating and helpful. The room is big, clean, well maintained, has hot shower, towel etc. They may also give you tips on your DIY itinerary or may arrange a tour guide for Underground River. I highly recommend this! Hope to be back here soon.

I say the service was satisfactory and very good value for money, for the ff: 1. Kuya sonny, the cheerful all around receptionist, waited for our almost midnight arrival. 2. He brought a drying rack when he saw me hanging some wet clothes outside the room. 3. The beddings smell clean. There was no musty odor in the beddings which is commonly present in cheap hotels. 4. A complimentary breakfast was also served!

EJ’a is a gem”
New and super-clean room with lovely bathroom. Delicious, free breakfast and coffee made with love. Very quiet and safe area about 6-7 min from downtown. I had to wait no more than 2-10 min to get a trike into town. I even had a TV! Very peaceful and lush garden. The value was superb!m. Staff Sonny and his wife were beyond accommodating, helpful and great conversationalists. I stayed three nights. Remember to ask for extra toilet paper :)

I think this hotel is very well taken care of and was impressed that everything worked! That makes the hotel a real good value. One suggestion is that souvenir sales should not be permitted inside the hotel grounds, at least not repeated attempts.

A place to come back”
The most warm place that we stayed at in all our 5 month trip till now. Very nice, quite neighborhood, 5 min ride from the center. incredibly welcome people that will help with anything you need. The rooms are big and very clean, air conditioner is cooling very fast. Great garden as a common area. and a special breakfast. Thank you for let us feel at home!!

Clean, Comfortable, Inattentive Staff”
The room was very clean and large, bed incredibly comfortable. Have to go outside to access Wifi and preferred in room access. No chairs in room so had to eat standing and sitting on bed. It was very hard to find staff at all times. Our electricity and A/C purposefully and manually turned off during the nights by hotel (to conserve costs?) on several occasions during our 4 night stay. This caused our room to be hot during the night and morning and a pain to get the lights back on.

The EJ Pension House is a little bit out of the city, but the center is easy to reach by tricycle. The staff is very friendly and the owner knows nearly everything you need to know for your futher travel. The room was clean and big enough for us, if not, you can find lots of possibilities to relax outside. The breakfast was quite good!

Spałem tylko jedną noc i żałuję, że mój pobyt trwał tak krótko. Obsługa jest super fajna! Wita Cię z serdecznym szczerym uśmiechem, serwuje pyszne śniadanie i jest w stanie zorganizować wycieczkę do Podziemnej Rzeki oraz transport w obie strony do El Nido za rozsądne pieniądze. Zaufałem im na tyle, że zostawiłem z góry pół portfela na wyżej wymienione atrakcje - i nie zawiodłem się. PS Thanks for an evening ride around the city in serach of working ATM and money exchange. Rooms are pleasing, spacious and clean. But wifi signal is weak at the area. Hotel location is at unfrequented side of the city but staffs are friendly; they help guests call a local transpo.
