El Escorial hotels & accommodations

I can’t say enough about how accommodating and helpful the hotel’s staff was to me. Being a non Spanish speaking person they went above and beyond in accommodating me. This hotel is located above 30 minutes outside of Madrid which worked out fine. , if you don’t want to travel into Madrid, there are quite a few shops and restaurants near this hotel. All in all a grea...

Location is 50m from the Palace entrance (after 5pm summer at 3 pm winter on Wednesdays and Thursdays it free entrance for EU citizens). Hotel is basic and several facilities need refurbishment or replacement (lift slow with lights missing to floor buttons, bathroom sink hole repaired with fivre glass paste, furniture chipped, TV remote missing rear cover, etc)
