Located in Gezira El Bairat, El Gezira Hotel features air-conditioned accommodation with free Wi-Fi and a balcony overlooking the Nile River. With Valley of Kings 9 km away, the hotel offers a garden and a rooftop restaurant. Furnished with a simple décor, all units at El Gezira Hotel include a fridge and wardrobe. Each room has a private bathroom with a bath and shower. At the rooftop restaurant, you can enjoy Egyptian and international cuisine as well as alcoholic beverages. Food and drinks are also served at the hotel’s garden, and barbecue facilities are available upon request. Guests are allowed access to the nearby Gezira Garden Hotel’s outdoor swimming pool, only 3 minutes’ walk away. With the public ferry, you can visit the Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. Luxor International Airport is 30 minutes away by car, and an airport shuttle can be arranged at an added charge. The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk.

Very pleasant stay”
Very nice location near the Nile with a nice Nile view from the restaurant on the top. The hotel is located at the western side of the Nile and therefore we had to pay a lot for a taxi driver. It would have been much easier and cheaper to take the ferryboat for only about 2 Egyptian pounds or a boat for about 40 pounds. The staff are very nice and the breakfast was quite rich. The size of the room is about right. The hotel has a nice restaurant. The hotel arranged for us a taxi for a full day to visit the king’s valley and the driver was very reliable. Please don’t expect a 5 star hotel but rather a family atmosphere which we liked very much. Many thanks to hotel staff specially Mr. Rakan, the manager.

The stuff is friendly. But I had a problem with the laundry service of the reception. They said a price of 5 Egypt Pounds per peace. But at the end they charged me 25 EUROs for a small bag of clothes they payed 25 Eqypt pounds for at the laundry shop which is a 17 times surcharge. I changed my hotel next morning because of this fraud

Η διαμονή μας στο El Gezira ήταν πολύ ευχάριστη!!! Η τοποθεσία είναι εξαιρετική, πολύ κοντά το ferry για τη απέναντι πλευρά, είναι σε ήσυχη και ασφάλη γειτονιά που είναι πολύ σημαντικό στην Αίγυπτο. Η ταράτσα και η αυλή του ξενοδοχείου ειναι δύο πολύ ευχάριστα μέρη για να αραξεις όλες τις ώρες της ημέρας. Το πρωινό είναι ευρωπαϊκό και πλήρες. Δεν παρέχονται σαμπουάν και αφρόλουτρα και τα δωμάτια είναι σχετικά καθαρά.
