Everyone at the hotel was incredibly nice and helpful. I left my glasses in my room and they forwarded them to my hotel in Hue for which I am most appreciative. I'd gladly return and stay again.

2nd stay during our visit to Vietnam”

We stayed at Huong Sen twice during our visit to Vietnam this year. Excellent location, excellent breakfast, very clean rooms and efficient staff. In Asia the shower/wet bathroom design can prove challenging for westerners. Their bathrooms were very “westerner friendly” and even had non slip mats! WiFi was good with a WiFi extender in our room. Lots of good restaurants near by. We will be back when we visit Vietnam next time.

Good location and easy to access the city”

The place I have stayed a few times . Breakfast is ok. Sometimes got the room with very strange layout and I have sleepless. Other time was ok . Room is big enough for walking around if not facing the street, otherwise will hear the motorcycle honking . So it is depends on where is the room located. A thing is inside the hotel after walk out of the room , there is no aircon in the public hall . So I feel rather hot . Other than that is fine with the stayed .

Surprisingly nice room and great value”

I must have walked by this hotel 100 times but never really noticed it. It is comparable quality to the Grand in many ways (at least the room we stayed in and the lobby, etc.), but better price. The breakfast was decent, up on the rooftop (not as nice a rooftop as the Grand or surely the Majestic, but nice enough). There is a very small swimming pool and fitness center up on the 8th floor but we didn't get to use it. Overall, a very good hotel right across the road from Vietnam House Restaurant and one block from Jaspa's, two of my favorites to eat in this neighborhood. Also, their car service to the airport is only 200k VND, which isn't unreasonable (most hotels charge 30 USD for the service which is not reasonable). It saves the hassle of dealing with the Saigon taxi drivers. Nice hotel and I reccommend to stay here.

Nice place, good Breaky and great location”

Staff were wonderful, bed was good, rooms are very large. Breakfast was good with a small buffet and an egg station where you could get what ever you wanted. For at the restaurant was good. The location is perfect for those visiting district one. I would definitely stay here again

I was very pleased with the service at Front Desk very polite, helpful and fast. The rooms were clean and looked presentable, lots of space. Breakfast had plenty of choices and is on a nice floor, top of the building. Overall experience was fantastic. The location is so convenient to do touring the city or shopping nearby Luck Plaza and good restaurants are everywhere near Huong Sen. I will come back again for sure. J. Great location, good room for the price, but weird hours.”

I really liked this place overall, but the hours for a number of facilities and services just didn't make sense. My girlfriend and I went to dinner and then returned to the hotel, planning to hang out at the pool a bit before going out, but the pool closed at 8 p.m.. This seemed really weird. Most hotel pools are open until 10. Breakfast running from 6-9 is fine on a weekday, but it should run later on weekends, especially given the fact that easily accessible nightlife is one of the best parts of this hotel. We considered doing the breakfast for the sake of checking out the pool afterward, but no again, as the pool is inexplicably closed from 10 a.m. until noon (check out time). Overall I would recommend this place for the location and the facilities, but the strange hours made it impossible for us to take advantage of everything this hotel offers.

We loved this hotel! When we come back to HCM in a couple weeks we are definitely booking it again! Great location. Staff WONDERFUL! They managed to get a refund on a cab that overcharged us. They also had breakfast prepared for us early befor our flight when leaving. The breakfast we had the day befor was very good! Clean rooms. Great value for your money. Cute pool at the top! Would recommend!!!

Top value 3-Star hotel in District 1 of HCMC”

I've stayed at Huong Sen many times, and have always personally enjoyed my stay. The staff are welcoming, the breakfast buffet on the roof is enjoyable, and the basic amenities are better than any other 3-Star hotel in the area. However, be wary of choosing this hotel if you are a single female Asian traveler. I recommended this hotel to my colleague (mid-20s Chinese woman), and she was stopped in the lobby multiple times (multiple days in a row) going up to her room to be double checked to ensure she was a guest. This was quite embarrassing for both her and myself, as the hotel staff was clearly discriminating against her as a young Asian woman, given the prevalence of prostitution in HCMC. The fact that this happened multiple times is simply unacceptable and as such I cannot recommend it for single female travelers.

Central and helpful staff ”

Easy to assess at the center of district 1 . Professional & helpful staff . Good Asian breakfast as changing everydays with different kinds of noodles soup . Big room as well ! Little noisy on the roof top as sometimes they have wedding party and people sing karaoke ;)! That is ok for me as i go outside most of the time . Overall , a good choice for my trip !

Beautiful hotel however breakfast dissapointing”

Location perfect, staff beautiful, hotel clean. I travel a few times year overseas and I have to say the breakfast here was the worst I've had. The Asian buffet was catered for well (it seemed) however the American breakfast not so much. Not much to choose from and what there was, it was always cold. Fresh eggs/omelette were beautifully cooked but anything from the Bay Marie eg. bacon was always cold. Pancakes were cold and tough. There wasn't a change in variety on any day we were there. Maybe we stayed a little longer than most people as we were here for 7 nights normally people I think would stay for only a few and move on to Hanoi etc. Sorry but I don't rate the breakfast at all.

The staff were excellent they pay attention to all the little details . Location is right there for everywhere you want to go, value for money is a bit high but Huong Sen is always my choice when I’m in Saigon.

Great location with superb hotel staff”

We really enjoy our 3 nights stay in Huong Sen Hotel from the moment we arrived. The hotel is a little outdated but easily overlooked by the hotel’s staff performance. They are very helpful and very service oriented. Only minor issue with the WiFi being slow. Overall, Highly recommended.

Well managed 3-star hotel in an excellent location”

A great value, 3-star hotel in a wonderful part of District 1. This place is very well managed, comfortable and welcoming. For a 3-star hotel, it is my favorite in Saigon and the best value out of 5 or more that I have tried. At 25 years old, the hotel has a classic/rustic feel to it and comes with a basic gym, small but enjoyable pool, steam room, sauna, and a quality rooftop breakfast. Rooms are larger than most in Saigon, and there is no problem with outside noise or thin walls - a big plus in this city. If you're looking for state of the art facilities and deluxe amenities, of course you need to be looking at a 4 or 5-star hotel, and US$150-300+ per night at the Caravelle, Sheraton, Rennaisance or Park Hyatt, just a block or two away.

Excellent location, good facility, welcoming staff, small pool but good enough for some water exercise & swimming. We happened to stay on the Lunar New Year's night and were invited to a free function organised by the owner. Really enjoyed this wonderful occasion. Highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is very strategic when you want to walk around the tourist spots in Ho Chi Minh City. It is walking distance to Ben Than for night market as well as shopping malls like Saigon Centre and Vincom Centre. Lots of restos, bar and coffee shops around the area and souvenir shops.
