Ok value for money”
HCMC is unfortunately pretty expensive when it comes to accommodations… For three nights we paid almost 1 Mio Dong, but room was not overwhelming. It was everything you really need, a fridge and cleanliness was ok. Don’t expect too much and someone picky might complain about it. But for us it was ok. AC and hot water. After a few days the room smelled a bit, but that’s quite common due to the air conditioning and moisture from bathroom. No real window - to inner house section. Host was nice, but had not much contact with him. Party street a bit ahead - luckily you don’t hear anything. And as we are quite old :-) we experienced only once the atmosphere at the party road. You can skip that. Location otherwise good, close to bus stations (in town and to Futa office -> within Vietnam) and worth to see sightseeing spots. Of course a lot of restaurants and cafes around and a nice morning market (~ 10 min walk). But one thing to complain: I really do not understand, how these tiny Asian people can make such huge noises when going stairs up or down 😡. If you have such people in the guesthouse, you will hear them.

Friendly Staff/Relatively Quite”
This is good basic accommodation and well worth the modest rates. The family that runs the guesthouse is very friendly and the room was simple but sufficient. My room was on the 3rd floor and it was relatively quiet considering it's in the heart of the backpacker ghetto. If you need a late checkout, depending on availability you can negotiate a fair add-on cost.

Good location.”
I good location if you want to be near the action but also want a quiet night sleep. In a very interesting allyway very close to the backpacker street. Allyway has other hotels,restaurants,shops,nail parlours,local life. Run by a nice family. Room is a typical Vietnamese room, no problems. Wifi was week in the higher rooms.

I liked the fact it was in this narrow side road with lots of small local bars and shops and when you exit this road from bith ends you have lots of amenities close by. Only issue was our bathroom door which did not close properly but other than that good value for money.

Excellent value for money ”
The location is strategic.. Super friendly owner cum staff. It's basic and has all the basic amneties . Remember it's a homestay so don't expect hotel grade service. Towels should be changed everyday.

Clean but too tiny”
Our stay was ok at Mai Guesthouse but don’t expect a lot. The room is very tiny: 2 people with 2 backpacks fits hardly. The room was clean, but no toiletpaper. Also bring your own sleepingbag. Towels were provided. The host was very kind! We only slept one night here as we were travelling to anonther city. For this it was ok, but for a longer stay I would choose a bigger and more comfy option.

Feels like home”
I stayed at this guesthouse for 5 nights. It's suited in a very good location, close to everything. the staff were nice and friendly. the place is really clean. My room was not daily serviced, but that's what I expect from a guesthouse. absolutely great value for money.

Good stay”
The staff was friendly and the room was nice. Cheap beer and water available. Located in a fun alley right off the main bar street. Room was very quiet. Lots of stairs to climb and no elevator. Our room wasn't cleaned during our stay, but we never requested it. I would definitely recommend it.

Great value for money and location”
The stair is height and narrow, that is difficult for moving and transferring anything, inside room don't have shirt holder and outside sharing toilet shower is too less water and door already broken. but overall acceptable to me.

You cannot select what floor is your room in the website. This is very imoortant especially when you have older people who have difficulties in climbing up the stairs.

CLEAN ROOM”
We stayed in the annex, the room is quite small but clean. The free breakfast is good also. However, the location is bit far from the famous landmarks and Chatuchak night market.

Tiny room”
The room wasn't much bigger than the bed, don't know if this is the case for all rooms they have. The wifi was good though and the aircon worked perfectly fine. We were lucky to stay on the first floor as they have a lot of floors...

Pleasant 1 night stay”
Very good located (in the backpackers area), loads of eateries around (the Guest House don't serve food), good prices for water, smiling faces, little English, very clean room, towels and beddings as well. Well done! :)
