We LOVED this resort! the location was so great - quiet, about 20 minutes out of the loud, bustling city, the staff were so helpful and those sunset views were next level! Cannot stop raving about this place to friends and family, we will definitely be back! Also, a big shout out to Rhodel and Edz - so helpful!
On behalf of the whole team, thank you for an inspiring review and for allowing us to be of service to you. We are so happy to know that you were pleased with your stay at the hotel. We are surely looking forward to being able to welcome you back in the future!
Escape from noise”
Perfect for those who want to escape the noise and chaos of the city/ downtown. All the staff were empathic, extended the extra mile, and made sure that I was comfortable, with special mention to Ran, Edsel , Rodel, and Jethro. Since it's secluded in paradise, expect that the wifi signal isn't as fast as that in the downtown, but that was okay with me. They can improve on daily shuttle service that includes the downtown.
Thank you for sharing with us your recent experience regarding your stay. We are thankful for the positive remarks on the service of our staff. Rest assured that your kind words to the team will certainly reach them to keep everyone motivated. We are surely looking forward to being able to welcome you back in the future!
El Nido Cove may be far from any attractions in El Nido but the staff here are all humble and always willing to help. They may not have a good WiFi, no welcome drinks, no slippers for in room hotel use, limited selections on tv channels. But all of this will be just a few things you won’t even recognise you needed that bad. The view from your room is really something you will never get tired of. The oval shape pool is all you need... over looking the ocean is more than enough to forget all the things that the hotel maybe lack of. If you want total relaxation... this is the place for you. My kids really enjoyed our last 3 days in El Nido because of this resort. Thank you very much to all the staff.. from kuya driver, Ran and Ritchell of frontdesk, manong guard from the beach area. Edzel for attending our needs during our lunch and dinner. And to all the personnel who never get tired of cleaning up the area. Please continue your hardwork... hope to see you again!
best customer service”
the best customer service!! ive been to places all over the world.. travelled a lot.. this place the staff go above and beyond! i overslept during my first night.. didnt eat dinner.. no tricycle or no any kind of transportation since it was too late to go out.. the staff did.. they cooker dinner for us even if the kitchen was closed, they prepared and served us.. with that only i was very impressed..
I stayed at the El Nido resort in November 2017 and loved the property. Very tranquil and approximately 20 minutes from El Nido town by Tricycle. The staff at the pool bar were very friendly and the food was also nice. Nothing to complain about. I would be happy to stay again.
Staff were all very helpful and accomodating of all requests. ”
Quiet.....no noise, but nature sounds. Maybe the steps to get to the rooms can b increased to at least 3 steps, as people like me and my company for the trip had some difficulty navigating the 2 BIG steps as we are the more MATURE folks....Thanks
2nd time around ”
Had a peaceful & relaxing getaway with my family. It was my second time coming back here with my son and my husband. Had a multiple room bookings and everything went smoothly from checking in and checking out. All of the Staff were exceptional and shown professionalism throughout our stay. Couldn’t ask for more. As for the food menu it has very few options for other ethnic cuisines. The rooms were clean every time we come back from activities. I even misplaced my mini Bose speaker somewhere in the pool area and we’re able to get it back. The resorts shows many wear and tear but from what I heard it will be going under a major renovation by June/July of this year and will be adding more rooms. Unfortunately, Drones are not allowed to be used in the premises. I enjoyed my stay here very much and because of the friendliness of all the staff we felt like home.
We loved this resort. Although it is a long way out of town it is worth it. Beautiful location. ”
A long way out of town but if you are prepared to pay for tricycle ride to and fro town it is really worth it. Magnificent views to islands, lovely beachfront location, beautiful outside dining area, great pool and gardens. The biggest plus - the staff! Their service was faultless and they were very friendly and helpful. Good sized room. Food reasonably priced and good quality. We loved our stay at this resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a beautiful, tranquil location. Definitely not for party seekers though. Tours organised by the resort were the same cost as in town. The company they link you with was great.
Nice but too far out of town ”
My fiance and I stayed here while we were in El Nido to do our engagement photos. I had discussed with the staff about arranging a private island tour, but when we arrived, nothing was done, and we had to re-negotiate with them all over again. Plus, they used a provider who charged more than many of the other providers, we later learned. The food was not particularly amazing, but it was okay. The hotel is far out of town with nothing around it, so it takes about 20 minutes by tuk tuk to get back and forth. However, it was very quiet, and we could hear and see the ocean from our bedroom just off of the beach, which was great. The room was spacious and the staff were good about getting us extra towels and a few other small requests we had.
June26-july3 A Place that will always be in our hearts. Not only because of the picturesque lime stones & numerous Islands, but because of the warm and hospitable staff we met during our week long stay. From Day one up until our Last day on this beautiful Island my family and I were treated with respect and kindness. This is what we call a priceless get away. It is a place where you can truly appreciate nature with Peace and quiet. Check in and Check out was a breeze. Chef Erwin was super kind and humble who actually greeted us at our table, checked how we're doing and ask if the taste of the food served was into our liking. We loved the Spicy Garlic Shrimp, Home made fried chicken, Dynamite, and Turones De Cove. Chef Erwin prepared it very well and super Tasty!. We also enjoyed the Bar at night. Roxel/russel who happens to be the bartender. He was very humble and a great listener. He is very knowledgeable and made delicious shots that will make you go tipsy in no time. Housekeeping and room service staff were very attentive to our needs and even exceeded our expectations. Buffet Breakfast was very delicious and you can choose which you would want in your omelette and how you want your eggs cooked. They served corned beef, beef tapa, fried fish, sautéed veggies, cereal, longanisa, chicken and many more! Everyday is different! I chose to stay here because of the positive reviews I read online and social media. I will stay here over and over again, and there's no doubt to that. I will definitely recommend this place. They have great amenities in their lobby like board games. You can even enjoy the Yard they have pin pong table, badminton, volleyball and free use of Kayak. My Family and I felt very safe here because the place was heavily guarded 24/7. They keep records of who comes in and out and the guards/marshals and security personnel were all very friendly. On the downside, wi-fi is very slow and only works in the lobby, but for us this was not an issue beca
Nice but far away and mediocre food”
This hotel has a lot of potential to be amazing. The view is fantastic- I could see and hear the waves from my room. But, it is about 20 min by tricycle from the city. If the hotel really invested in their kitchen and cook and made the food amazing so you wouldn't feel the need to go to the city to eat, then this would not be a problem. However, at the moment, the food is only okay, and the ride to the city is cheap but a little tedious. Also, the person I had been in contact with prior to arriving turned out to be based in Manila, and the information she had given me about a private customized tour turned out to be incorrect. BUT, the staff were pleasant and helpful. I asked for a blanket, more towels, a hair dryer, and to have the light in the bathroom fixed. They delivered on the first three and tried to fix the light. When they could not fix it, they offered to switch rooms. They also offered to decorate the pagoda for a private dinner for me and my fiance free of charge (we still had to pay for the food), which was beautifully done. The wifi is basically non-existent, but I thought it was nice to disconnect for a few days anyway, and the wifi issue is true of the entire island, even in the city.
Didn't want to leave!”
We spent 4 days in El Nido Cove and it wasn't enough. Staff so friendly and helpful. Setting stunning so unspoilt. Lots of options for adventure or chilling. Food and drink very reasonable and great quality. Will definitely return but will try and book a beachfront villa as garden rooms have no view only of front entrance. Bedside lamps would be useful too as night time reading impossible with overhead lights only. Beware of sand flies if you have white skin!!! We had mosquito spray and citronella but they still got us. Overall a brilliant holiday thank you so much.
Your paying mostly for for the view”
It is a pretty good hotel but needs a little more to be considered a Resort in my opinion. Good rooms, clean, TV and big beds Staff is super friendly and helpfull. Breakfeast needs to be a lot better. Not a lot to choose from and everyday its the same menu. The WiFi is horrible! I needed to book a urgente flight and i needed to use a personal PC from the recepcionist to book my flight since the internet from the hotel simple doesnt work. Hotel is like 12-15 min from El Nido so you need to travel by tricicle or by motorbike like i did.
I stayed at this hotel in December of 2015, and it was so good that i recently booked my parents to go this July 2016. The PROS - the staff treat you like their own family! Very hospitable, and accommodating. Our van to puerto princesa left at 4 am and because we couldn't have breakfast, they packed as a nice sandwich and a drink each. - the location is breathtaking. Situated right by the beach, you dont need to move from your bed to get a glimpse of the stunning views. - each guest has a free kayak hire. - the rooms were clean, and the beds and pillows were also very comfortable. Lastly, the very minimal CONS of staying at this place. - it's away from the town and it's about a 20-30 minute tricycle ride costing about 300 pesos. - because it's so far away from the town, the only food choice you'll have is their in-house restaurant. BUT, don't be disheartened, it is an excellent restaurant at an affordable price. - not much phone reception and internet. Which is understandable given that you're in a secluded island. In my opinion, this hotel is worth every cent you pay and you get what you pay for. It is worth the trek to El Nido from puerto princesa and the serenity of the place ensures that you have a relaxing and rejuvenating time.
Highlight of our trip! Staff are amazing ”
El Nido cove was an absolute highlight of our trip . The staff go above and beyond to care for you! Everyone there is really helpful with organising transport and whatever tours you would like as well as activities from the resort. Lovely food and amazing breakfast! The rooms are air conditioned with great amenities and are cleaned to perfection daily. Oh and the view is breathtaking. It was the staff that made El Nido cove such a great experience, there ability to care for us and everyone else was like no where else in the world! If your going to El Nido cove, Enjoy!!!!
The perfect escape to paradise”
We arrived at the end of a very long trip late at night and were greeted at our van by 3 smiling faces welcoming us to the resort. Our stay at El Nido Cove was relaxing, warm and friendly. It is about 15 mins from the town centre but we preferred to stay out of the town and just drive in in the evening to have a few drinks at the beach bars. The staff organised all of our island tours, transport to town and return van to Peurto Princesa. Life was very easy during our stay! The food was lovely and comparatively priced to the restaurants in town. We ended up having most of our meals here. The sunset and views were nothing short of spectacular so make you have your camera ready! The pool is clean and refreshing - perfect after a long day in salt water. The only negative is the wifi which is only available in the lobby & bar - however this forced us out of our rooms and into common areas where we ended up making great friends! Thank you El Nido Cove Resort for a magical stay! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
5 GOOD / 9 BAD ”
i want to summarize what I think about this hotel: Good: 1. You wake up to a nice view, quiet location 2. Helpful staff 3. Good breakfast buffet ( but not much spread) 4. Orthopedic bed which is very comfortable 5. We got forest room which is nice as just right in front of the pool Bad: 1. Since the place is too quiet as there's 2. no tv and 3. No wifi in the room the price for the room is 4. too high. I wonder why it's expensive when none of them are available. Even there's 5.no fridge at least to store nice cold water and some baby food. (I have a toddler) 6. No hair dryer even. Just basic bed. So still wondering why too high price for just a standard room. It would be nice that since the loc is super quiet to put a working strong wifi in each room and TV after a long day activity outside to relax. 7. Tricycle to/from is 200 pesos(it's too high esp if you go out town everyday that's times 2) they could also provide a shuttle to all guest. The only thing I booked this hotel is bec I wanted a pool and a beach together. But beach you 8.cannot swim. Jellyfish lined up to greet you. 9. The pool is poorly maintained. (Yes clean outside but inside the pool are dirty. But experience over all in this hotel is good. stayed for two nights with a toddler.
A work in progress”
There isn't a lot to this resort yet as it's still under construction. They currently have about 10 rooms and are in the process of putting in more, along with the pool. The resort itself is also 20 minutes outside of the downtown El Nido and you can only reach it by tricycle. Having said that, this resort with be the absolute perfect place to stay once it's complete! It's away from everything, so it's peaceful. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They were very knowledgeable and able to assist us with any needs we had while in El Nido. The hotel is right by the ocean, and the view is beautiful! Beautiful sunsets! The tables for eating are by the water, so you have a beautiful view for any meal you have there. The food does take awhile to be prepared, but it is so worth it! Definitely some of the best food I ate the entire time I was in the Philippines! There's a small bar set off to the side, that wasn't open yet, but once the pool is finished it will be the perfect place to grab a drink. They offer kayaks for free and there are a couple of islands close by that you can kayak to. Give the resort another year to get finished and it will be the place to stay in El Nido!
Alovely location providing a very relaxing break”
A small hotel which is trying t turn itself in to a resort and it is not yet there. Saying that it was lovely even if the restaurant had a limited menu. Staff were very friendly and helpful although not all of them were that skilled in English. Fantastic views overlooking the beach and sea. Unfortunately if you want to sit on the beach you really have to go to another beach which involves a trike ride. The hotel is a good 25 mins from the town by trike which suited me but would not suit everyone. The biggest negative is that it is a long way from the main airport which can take upto 8 hours travelling on unmade roads. The best option is to fly into Elnidid which has more expensive charter service on 19 seater planes from Manilla. I had a lovely time there!
El Nido Cove Resort is around 10km away from El Nido town, which by tricycle requires 30 min trip from town - however the trip is worthwhile. The resort is clean, and very charming with its beach view. Hearning the beach waves, it was a great hotel to stay for a break in El Nido. The staff is incredibly attentive and nice; and the serving food is excellent. We would definitely advise this resort to anyone looking for a hotel in El Nido.
