      awesome”

      relaxing, exciting, comfortable

It was actually a big delight that i was booked in Apulit. The only complaint I have is time limit for your transport towards your hotel. From port of taytay, its a 50 min boat ride which is free till 3pm. Anything after that till 5PM you rent the whole boat (5K). When you consider the proximity of taytay from puerto princesa and the flights available in all airlines, you are bound to miss the free ride (4 hours away form puerto or 3 and half if you skip lunch or breaks). You either stay a night in puerto and travel day after or take the chartered flights from manila which is P11K plus for RT. For couples its worth it,but in groups, a RT flight from manila to puerto can go as low as P3k to P6k. A group of 7 (my family) , its practical to fly by passenger airlines. As for the hotel, miniloc and all el nido resorts properties (there are 4) have one thing in common, exclusivity. Apulit is the only resort in the municipality of taytay and all its spots are catered by the resort alone (that I know of). Whereas in El nido, everyone has free access to neighboring islands. Anyone checked in the town of El Nido who books a private boat will have the same access to all the islands in el nido. You don’t have this in Apulit as you don't compete for meager space in El Nido Islands.. At lunch, it was like a parking mall of small boats as all of the guides had the same spot for lunch. Theres also a rappel site which was scary not for the height but make a slip and you'll have a cut as the stones were razor sharp. do it on a sunset and you'll have breathtaking pictures that no one has. The food was superb. for 500 USD divided by 3 in a room with unlimited seafood meal at night and all meals included, you can't go wrong. Theres even a happy hour pre-dinner at the bar. I would have preferred another night there. As for El nido, I rather be in Coron or Apulit again than be in El nido as it is just one big hype.

      excellent service on paradise island”

many activities included, friendly and helpful staff

we stayed 5 days at the el nido apulit resort and absolutely loved our experience. we flew in by iti via taytay (which we highly recommend instead of traveling overland from puerto princesa) and from the git picked up for a boat ride to the island. the entire transport was very well arranged and arriving at the resort's pier the entire staff welcomed us. the island itself is very small and stunningly beautiful. the cottages, especially the bathrooms, are very small, but nicely decorated and the balconies have lounge chairs which are ideal to enjoy the ocean view in private or watch baby sharks (harmless) swimming underneath your cottage. the food was just perfect, asian and western food buffet with shrimps galore and filipino specialities like halo-halo for dessert. we were lucky with the weather, so could join many of the activities on offer. angel, the activities manager, kindly and proactively checked up on what we might be interested in doing. we most enjoyed the island hopping and snorkeling tours with our very well informed guides. next to this we visited some caves on the backside of the island, went kayaking around apulit in the early morning, rappelled/abseiled 50 m from the cross, tried surfing and my husband went for trips with the resorts hobie cat a couple of times. every staff member is very well trained in the activity they are supervising as well as local fauna and flora and will be able to answer many of your questions. activities can be scheduled to your convenience and everything is included in the package. we would suggest to also take half a day off from activities to enjoy some relaxation time and the amazing view from the infinity pool.

      A hidden Gem in Philippines”

All that goes with an Eco-Tourism destination

Apulit Island Resort is the perfect getaway if you are looking for a private, relaxing, personal resort experience. My husband and I chose a 3 night/4 day package and were thoroughly impressed. From the moment we made contact with the resort staff (Taytay airport) we were treated with exceptional service. As we approached the island the staff were there to greet us, complete with refreshing drinks, local songs and bright smiles. For the rest of our stay we found the staff to be exceptional, always greeting us and most of the time calling us by name. We felt that they were genuinely happy to have us there and that they were happy to serve us in whatever way would make our stay more comfortable. The food was delicious. We found it to be well prepared, complete with a uniquely personal touch. Breakfast omelets, fried rice, fresh seafood, fruits and juices and a fantastic variety – overall there were delicious choices for every meal, every day. We also thoroughly enjoyed the activities available for the guests; fish feeding, snorkeling, island hopping, caving, private beach picnics, sailing. It was wonderful that all activities were included with our stay so we didn’t feel like we always had to decide ‘should we pay for this or that activity?’ Overall, we would definitely recommend Apulit Resort if you are looking for a quiet, island getaway. We will be recommending this place to all of our overseas guests!

      Best part of Palawan”

Apulit Island is the perfect amount resort and adventure. It is a mission to get there (1.5 hr drive from El Nido and then 1.5 hr boat ride over choppy water when we went in Nov 2018 - price only included if you have Airswift flight each way) but it is well worth it. The island and surrounding area are in pristine shape. The water under the cottages is a breeding ground for blacktip reef sharks (harmless and so cute), the coral is the most alive I have seen in the world, and they offer a bunch of legitimately great activities included in the price (boats to private islands for insane snorkeling, rappelling that is hard and not just a tourist trap, informative nature walks..). The staff are very nice and helpful - special shout out to Jerek the grill master who was very attentive and made amazing food and to Maxine the envrionmentalist who taught us all about the islands flora and fauna. Wifi worked really well - best in all of the Philippines. Definitely stay for at least 2 nights!

      ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!”

El Nido Resort, Apulit Island is by far one of the best resort we have stayed at. The staff are overly hospitable, down to remembering your name. All the included facilities were amazing. We went scuba diving (I do not know how to swim at all - but I love the water) Our instructor Ting made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the whole scuba dive experience. He held my hand and did all the adjustments to the tanks. As i completely had no idea. The receptionist Pau was super cute and very kind. All the staff were knowledgeable about the island and the environment and all had a strong connection which is what I felt made the experience more unique. I love their care for the world. Would definitely stay here again! Loved it!!! 😊😊😊

      Hidden gem in the Philippines”

      Location, Staff Friendliness

overall 8 to of 10 score. very nice place with very friendly and helpful staff. if you are looking for a quiet, tranquil, place to relax then apulit island is for you. no motorized watersports. only kayaking snorkeling swimming sailing (or diving if that's your thing). transportation from manila to the island was very organized and efficient. flight from manila to tay tay was very expensive tho. $630+ usd for 2 people. yikes! if you can find your own cheaper flight to get to tay tay / el nido then do it! met the resort general manager who was awesome. as soon as we arrived we were greeted and welcomed by the entire resort staff and was given a quick overview of the island and resort. same thing on departure from the island. the entire staff saw us off with a very friendly farewell. very impressive. only thing we were expecting was a sit down menu ordering style restaurant option. only buffet option for all meals on the island.

Amazing secluded high quality paradise experience”

Apulit Island resort (El Nido Resort) is an amazing place. I definitely like to come back. I traveled to Apulit with my partner to have a luxurious stay for two nights at the end ouf our travel. The price per night is quite high for our budget, but once at Apulit most events are included. So we did two tours, went for night snorkling (small extra fee), had amazing food three times a day. So overall cost is actually manageable. Staff is very professional and genuinely friendly. Very clean and eco friendly. I could very easily spend a week at Apulit.

      Paradise”

      Location and service

We had selected Apulit as our starting point to our 3 weeks in Philippines to rest and relax as we had to travel for 24 hours to reach the country. Initially we had planned to stay for 3 nights, but opted to extend to 4 nights once there as we really didn’t want to leave this place. We traveled to the hotel by using ITI and from the moment we step out of the taxi at their private terminal we started 4 days of pure relaxation. I would recommend using ITI as the trip to the hotel in itself is a experience in it self (unless you are nervous about flying with small planes) and offers some beautiful sights from air and boat as well as a hassle free transfer. The resort itself is a beautiful paradise with 6 star service and exceptional staff, that really gives that little extra to your holiday. If you don’t like lying around in the sun all day there’s plenty of activities that can be booked (most of them are free). A nice surprise was that all food was included, something that we hadn’t realized when we booked. My girl friend is a vegetarian and although they lacked any tofu or beans in general, once the chef learned about this he prepared something special for her each evening which was much appreciated. The only hick up was the private van that we booked through the resort, that was going to take us to El Nido town after our stay didn’t show up so we had to wait for 1-2 hours in Taytay until they could find a replacement. But 2 guides from the resort stayed with us the whole time and gave us a tour of the old fort there, which just shows the level of services you can expect. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and we are definitely going back if we visit the Philippines again.

Our amazing experience at Apulit Resort ”

It's very important that the Resort takes care of your arrival, they picked us at the office, our hotel was in el nido right next to Apulit main office so it was very comfortable, they also pick you from the airport if you just landed. It's a small journey to get to the island so it took something like 2 hours overall . So they drive you to their center at taytay port and than by boat to the island. Everything is beautiful, you have free activities all day and the food is great!! Recommended!!!

Total relaxation in an island paradise”

Stunning views, wonderful staff, remote location

we loved our holiday at apulit. we stayed for six nights in a water cottage with full board (three meals per day plus all water activities including kayaking, snorkelling, guided tours, island hopping). this resort is for those who want to truly get away from it all in one of the most stunningly beautiful natural environments. if you want shops, entertainment, pools, kids clubs, fancy restaurants and the like, this is not the place for you. this is a resort for relaxation, pure and simple. the resort has 50 bungalows, all on stilts over water with panoramic views. there is a main restaurant area and a clubhouse and beach loungers with umbrellas. each bungalow has a front balcony with two comfy seats (perfect for reading) and a double bed with adequate wardrobe space for two people. you won't find luxury bathrooms or fancy fittings here, but you will find clean rooms, comfortable beds, aircon, overhead fan, a desk and an extra chair. there are no tvs or wi-fi in the room. but that's a good thing! if you need wi-fi, you can take your ipod, ipad or laptop to the clubhouse. it will keep you honest! from the second we arrived at taytay airport, we experienced excellent service by each and every staff member. transfers were easy, the welcome party sets the scene and an activity co-ordinator will assist you with whatever you need. from then on, just do whatever you fancy: kayak, swim, snorkel, island hop or just relax in your bungalow or on the beach with a good book. the food might be my only quibble for such a pricey resort; the buffet selection can be a little hit and miss and the food could be tastier, but you can't fault the service or willingness of the chefs to want to please. and the fresh seafood was excellent. in fact, we came to enjoy the lighter fare as we often over-indulge on holidays. overall, i think apulit is a wonderful choice. it's not cheap by any means, but it's good value for money, particularly as it includes all meals and water activities

      Incredibly amazing”

      Location, the rooms, the staff

We had the most amazing, awesome, fantastic time here. We flew in to Manila and then took the ITI transvoyager plane from Manila to El Nido town (1 hour). From there we took a van to Taytay - about 1.5 hours. Then we took a boat ride to the resort which was about 1 hour. Long journey but great view all the way. The resort is just spectacular. Especially love that the rooms are over the water so we could see fishes swim by and there were plenty of baby black tip reef sharks swimming by our room. The view from the room is just breathtaking and at night we just laze out on the balcony gazing at the stars and we were lucky enough to spot some shooting stars. Also the staff made our stay even more memorable with their friendliness and attentiveness. Especially Mario & Angel - they went all out just to make our day. We had 2 picnic lunches at the west beach and I would recommend this for all because it was just perfect - lunch served to you privately at the beach. There are quite a number of activities to do here and Angel was always there to help plan our day. The food is average, nothing spectacular but still good. Overall this resort is totally worth our money and we would definitely return soon!

Turning out to be a Gem Of a Hotel”

The Hotel is still under refurbishment. The Building crew are frantically trying to finish the resort however being one of first guests to arrive and stay in some of the completed units I can honestly say that this hotel will turn out to be a gem. Lots still to be done on the island but i'm sure once fully completed guests will love the hotel and the eco adventure that it offers. The units are modern and reasonably sized but don't expect super luxury. Besides the terrible weather (2 Tropical storms in 2 weeks) that has passed over El Nido and the ongoing construction, the staff have tried to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The Fully inclusive offers from El Nido resorts is fantastic. It covers all meals and day Trips to various tourist hotspots. Overall a great hotel to visit in the future.

Quiet, healing vacation with gourmet dining”

The staff, the food, the surroundings

My wife and 2 young children stayed in El Nido Resorts in Apulit for 12 days. The over-water bungalows were small but comfortable, and I haven't slept that well in many years. The 3 buffet spreads with chef staffed cooking stations offered wonderful gourmet-class meals with lots of variety and little repeat. I am not normally a person who enjoys buffets but El Nido's were fantastic. Finally, the staff were very friendly and attentive, especially Apple, April, Mandy, Mark, Oliver, Angel, Clark, and Mario who went above and beyond their responsibilities to keep us happy and satisfied. (In addition, Apple and April were certainly very nice to look at. ;-) ) I only had two small complaints: 1) The free Wifi, only available in the restaurant area, was very spotty -- although I had strong connection, simple web pages timed out for up to 10 minutes at a time. In addition, Wifi is completely unavailable everywhere else. This could be a fairly simple upgrade which would make many travelers even happier. 2) The trip from Manila to Apulit and back was very lengthy, comprising a +1 hour plane trip, 1.5 hour van ride over very rough terrain, and 1 hour boat trip, made for an exhausting transit particularly for a family with small children. I understand they are working on renovating a much closer airport which once completed should eliminate this problem.

      amazing resort with exceptional staff!!!”

      Everything!

We stayed here for 7 nights on our honeymoon in November and I don't have anything negative to say about this place. We decided to go big and stay in a Deluxe Water Cottage which was an excellent choice. I think the basic cottages are probably great as well (and cheaper) but it was a special occasion for us. First off, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous, some of the best I've seen in my travels over the last 5 years. My wife and I are currently teachers in South Korea and have traveled a decent bit around Asia. The staff here were always accommodating, saying hello and asking if we need anything. The food was awesome as it's always a buffet - but they do change it up a bit from day to day so for us it didn't get old at all. Dinner is set up in different places each night and there are always activities to take part in each day. The island hopping trip was our favorite (did that a couple times) - only wish there were another island or two to visit. Overall, from the minute we got to the island until our last day, everything was absolutely perfect for us! We'd like to give special thanks to the manager August and also to Mary who is the on-site nurse at the resort. These two made our stay incredibly enjoyable by going above and beyond their duties to be friendly with us and also help set up a surprise private dinner on one of our nights there. We also had a great scuba guide, Tee-Ting, who was an incredibly friendly instructor! If you're considering staying at this resort, then don't hesitate - it's completely worth it! I can only hope we have a chance to visit one of the other El Nido locations!

      Romantic Getaway”

The location, staff, and the food

Beautiful, romantic resort in Palawan. Definitely an adventure to get to, (a chartered plane flight for 1 hour from Manila and then a 45 minute van ride to the boat, and 1.5 hour boat ride to the resort) but once you arrive you know you've arrived to paradise! You stay in a charming, romantic water-hut and have a great view of the sunset and clear ocean water. You will even see fish and baby sharks swimming below! Its all inclusive so all your sports activities and 3 meals a day are included in your daily rate. Great snorkeling ! Amazing reef and fish we've never seen before! Looking forward to visiting other El Nido resorts when we return to the Philippines

Beautiful resort, lovely food and great staff”

Staff were so friendly and attentive, buffet food was great

Me and my wife stayed at Apulit Island Resort for our honeymoon for 5 nights. We stayed in a delexe water cottage. Our honeymoon there was perfect. From the moment we arrived we knew this place would be very special. The cottage was so nice. The view on the veranda was amazing. The snorkeling just outside of the cottage was great too. The staff were always so willing to help too. They could anticipate what you needed before you needed to ask them. The food was great too. Spent 6 days there and never got bored with the buffet. Fresh fish every day and lovely baked breads too. The salads were out of this world. We went on a few trips too. The island hoping and caving was great too. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from it all and relax. There are plenty of things to do but you can also just do your own thing too without it being too busy. Really sad to say goodbye to the resort but we'll definitely be going back.

Very nice and calm. perfect for our last days”

The best we can say at Apulit is about the staff from the reservations, specially Regina, who helped us very much organizing the trip. Its important to knowuthat it takes a lot of time to arrive to Apulit. First to TayTay port about 1 hour and a half and then to Apukit another 40 minutes. And their trips to and from TayTay are limited, so need to check thos when booking the flights. The hotel is very beautiful. Food was good, although drinks are not included and are expensive. The trips the hotel include are also ok. I would add a serious spa instead of only massage beds. And we loved the welcome and goodbye songs from the staff.

      A paradise worth every penny”

true paradise island feeling, superb staff, great food and activities

I've been to hundreds of resorts, hotels, motels and B&Bs -- Apulit is the first place that induced me to write a review. Yes it takes time and coordination to get there - but who would expect a lost paradise island to be easily accessible? Wake up to see the sun rise over the ocean, surrounded by incredible limestone formations and dozens of other tiny islands. See baby sharks, turtles and sting rays swim around your cottage. Relax by the infinity pool or beach, have a fantastic massage. Enjoy countless activities like rappelling, kayaking, paddle boarding... All brought to you by the sweetest, most attentive and knowledgeable staff. Stay at least 3 nights.
