Excellent Hotel”

Excellent location, polite and helpful staff, big rooms. Fast and big lifts, housekeeping done twice a day, in morning as well as before going to the bed. I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Medina. I have just arrived at Swissotel in Makkah after completing my trip in Medina where I lived in Elaf Grand Majeedi, now I find Swissotel much inferior comparing to Elaf Majeedi.

Few steps away from gate no. 17 and women's prayer area. 5 mins walk from gate 25 and 10 mins walk away from Al Baqi Cemetery. Everything you will need just steps away from hotel. Pleasant stay 🥰”

The hotel is exactly at gate 17 and very easily to access Masjid Nabawi. The shops are also in the same Majeedi building and easy for us to buy stuff and foods. The room is good with big toilet. We were welcome with fruit basket. And the hotel's dining Manager, Shariff was very kind and informative. He provided good service and sent us daily fruit basket to our room as well as dessert and juices. Room service is also good as the staff was very friendly. I highly recommended this hotel 💖. The only improvement needed is lift/elevator.

Expensive and a nightmare with the lift.”

Rooms are good but extremely small toilets and shower space and only 6 lifts 3 in one location for a massive hotel, we booked this only because it was right next to gate 17 and we had to wait for over 15 mins in average for a lift, so if you are booking this hotel because of the location don't, we stayed in Elaf Taiba before this and it was very good, bigger rooms, best staff and lifts available all the time, i would highly recommend that hotel as compared to this.

Superb Location & Quality of Room. ”

In front of gate 16 and ladies prayer area. 3 minutes walking distance from hotel gate to masjid Nabawi gate number 19. I booked Superior Twin City View, room size was smaller than I expect but was luxurious and have all the necessary things. Bathroom was also good and have required amenities. Staff was super courteous. Lifts was readily available. I had requested one large bed in my book but was provided two single beds. There was a problem in water heating but it was promptly fixed upon complain. However water wasn’t warm enough. Definitely recommended.

Value for money”

Considering the location of the hotel it is good value for money. The rooms are nice and clean and modern. They don't have the worn out look that you will find in other older hotel rooms in Madinah. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking was available, which is a major plus for any locals. The waiting time for the elevators is my biggest concern. Some other minor issues, but none that would keep me from recommending this hotel. Of course there are better hotels for more money, but this was best combination of value & location at the time of our stay.

Overall good experience. Always stayed in Movenpick which is one hotel away from Elaf. Only breakfast needs to improve in comparison with movenpick. Offer free parking which is not available in Movenpick plus rooms are much bigger in Elaf

Staying at Elaf Grand Al Majeed Hotel”

This hotel is closed to Gate 17 of Masjid Al Haaram at Madina. The staff is friendly and always helpful. This is a big hotel which has 49 rooms in each floor and two person for house keeping in each floor. Our entire stay was pleasant.

Location is great in-front of ladies entrance and men entrance as well. overall clean hotel, elevators become busy during prayers and it was really annoying. Room was very small, I asked to change it because I have a baby cot to use, it was upgraded to 2% bigger than previous one...tq I booked this hotel because I was foolish with the Free Breakfast mentioned in (What they offer) when I was there I had to ask but the don't know anything, I call agoda they said because some hotels they provide free breakfast with some type of rooms, it should not mention in the general info of property. overall great to stay here for real. thanks

Excellent location, with some drawbacks ”

Pros Excellent location, very near to both male and female praying areas. Very clean. Housekeeping dept very efficient. Spacious rooms Cons Highly disappointed with lifts, very less lifts. Had to wait a long for lifts, mostly had to use stairs. Secondly I got family room which had two bed rooms but only one washroom which was not enough for 5 people capacity room Check in late. Rooms were not ready.

Very good hotel”

The hotel stuff is very nice, however, i will never use agoda web to reserve hotel in the future cause, there is no contact number with customer service, they booked me different room and when i arrived i found something different totally. I was lucky when hotel manager help me. My adivce do not trust agooda reservation.

Very nicely located hotel with good facilities around ”

Overall, the hotel has an excellent location.l, located right at Gate 17 of Haram. People there are very nice and helpful, esp Mr Faris at check-in. One point of concern was slower and fewer lifts. However considering other benefits of the hotel, this is a small issue.

Exceptional”

Excellent location, nice room and staff. definitely recommending it. I only had 2 issues first that they didn’t answer my many phone calls before arriving, however they called us one night before booking time, 2nd issue with elevators mostly busy especially during prayers times.

The hotel just few step from Haram and Every staff of the hotel are professional but I would like to mentioned the bellboy Mr Azhar and Mr Shazad , both are very kind, helpful and supportive, if would like to visit again this hotel in future.

Not honoring the extra request”

We had requested early arrival between 11AM-12PM. We arrived at hotel and they informed that it would be ready at 4PM.

Good Family pilgrimage hotel”

We were in the superior tripple room a family of 4. The location is excellent just next to the haram, we usually came down after the azan and were still able to get inside the mosque for salat. The cleaning staff is quite co operative and left the room always in an excellent condition. The only downside to this place is the lifts. They are few and slow with a long ques to access them. We as a family took this as a challenge and always used the stairs, however I would not recommend this place for people on wheelchairs and people with challenged mobility unless you build in a good time before and after prayers to get to the haram and back.

No free parking for car.”

All thing good but no free parking for car. Even I saw underground hotel parking almost empty.

Great location excellent staff”

The room was a bit small. Felt like Marriott or Hilton hotels in DC (proper), NYC or SF, but the bathroom was huge.

Really worth the money. I stayed in a family room which was HUGE. Great place for families to stay. Just keep in mind the elevators are bit small, old and usually not empty so keep that in mind.

good hotel near gate no 17. will stay again. staff should be more efficiant at time time of check in.
