Ideal Location and Good Value for Money”
Hotels are usually expensive in Manhattan NYC, and it’s no surprising that with location near Times Square, The Element Hotel commands a pricing that is higher too. However the location and service of the hotel is very ideal and you get connected easily to other parts of NYC using the metro and bus available at Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT for short) and its only 2 blocks away. Also you could access to the New Jersey Transit from there too. Penn Station is like 5-6 blocks away walking distance and you can travel to other parts of NYC; Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) will easily link you too. The facility at the Element is ample but do get up early to get your breakfast as space is limited and you will need lots of patience to use their elevator during peak period. Try choosing room at level 10 and below to help eliminate some of the frustration. Housekeeping is good and service / hotel staff are fantastic and polite too.

They have everything we need. The hotel staff was really helpful and the location is near Times Square. Everything was great! But the room is little bit small but can acoomodate 2 adults just fine

Need improvement”
I was there very early in the morning 10am for check-in. was told to come back at 3pm. Only get my key cards at 5pm. The lift or elevator was super slow take ages to come , and when it does, it filled.

30mins wait for the lift to get from our room to the lobby every morning ”
No fresh towels when we return to our room at 6pm. Told the front desk about it, went out for dinner, back in the room at 9pm and still no towels

Sub par rooms and broken elevator”
Noisy from lots of other guests and even staff. Super crowded, breakfast was a zoo. Doesn't feel like a Westin or even Element. The elevator was broken and used the stairs to come & go from the 9th floor all week. Upon checking out, I had to use the elevator and waited for it for 20+ minutes, then was trapped inside as it went up and down for ages. Was again trapped inside for 15+ minutes and late for work. I would definitely not stay here again.

The plus points Great location , comfortable beds, great shower .”
Really did like the location however not ideal outside the hotels with homeless people. Liked the comfortable beds and shower. The enterance seemed basic not welcoming , staff were rushed and didn't spend quality time explaining what the hotel has to offer. The breakfast was really plain and basic and most days didn't bother. Rooms seemed shabby and many DIY matters should have been addressed . Liked the fridge freezer and simple kitchen area. Overall would say it's a 2-3 star hotel max. Was greatly disappointed having travelled Business class and the photos and description of the hotel didn't meet our expectations. Stayed last year in the Library hotel which was 4 stars and that was totally luxury standards. May visit The Element Times Square again if the prices reflect the deal. Felt we paid over the odds when there were local hotels which were cheaper and more to offer.

perfect”
I would say that if you want to visit downtown manhattan, this is your great choice. I came here for visiting some schools, and the near subway(42 St.) is really convenience. Also it is near to Time Square. The location here is not right beside the 8th Ave so the noise on the road seldom bothered me. I love the kitchen in my room. The only down side is the elevator. But without the luggage, I don't mind walk down by stairs.(I lived at 9th floor) Some nice restaurants are few streets away. I stayed here for five nights and ate same breakfast everyday, but it was fine to me.
