Pretty beach but really bad management and conditi
Beach, location, beach
Hotel owner could care less about guests. Sat at the bar on his phone while we waited for drinks/food. Except for 2 staff women, they were lazy and unable to take food/drink orders. We'd watch the housekeeping boys sit in our room on their phones instead of cleaning! And the bathroom water from sink and shower smelled of sewage--that was the worst....oh,no, the worst was their disassemble of beach seating all day long for 2-3 days resulting in wood splinters and screws in the sand. Stay away!

Elephant Garden resort-no thanks!
location-location-location
We stayed at elephant Garden in March 2014 and found it an enjoyable stay. In April 2015. we stayed again, Unfortunately the best accommodation at the rear of the resort with the pool no longer exists as part of elephant garden. As a result we stayed in a hut which could be best described as backpacker accommodation. Again unfortunately the local new year break turned out to be to noisy to sleep and after one night we moved on without any offer of compensation.

Not a great stay
Beach
Good - located right on the beach. It's nice to look out at the sea and easy for a swim. Just walk through the restaurant to the beach. The seating area they had was nice and looked nice at night all lit up. We didn't eat the food but it was meant to be good. Although probably the most expensive in Cambodia we saw. Bad. The placs is trying to be upmarket. Everywhere else on otres is relaxed whereas this one thinks it's a fancy hotel. Restaurant was quite pretentious. Fancy table clothes and seats dressed like a wedding. Food was also very expensive and not an inviting menu. Chicken and pineapple sandwich anyone? They also played weird music. From plinky plonky modern classical piano one night to aggressive violin covers the next (so bad). Staff didn't seem that happy and weren't the usual friendly service we'd revived in Cambodia. Ugly - our bungalow was small and very dark. It also stank of drains and was full of Mosquitos, probably as a result of the drains. We had the 30 dollar bungalow, imagine the more expensive ones are better. Overall this place is ok but I think there's better places for the money. Although otres 2 is quiet I preferred otres 1 which is also quiet but has more life to it

Maybe we were unlucky
Location, tranquility,beach
We were unfortunate to arrive in the middle of a change of ownership and the separation of the hotel into 2 , with current and past owners absent. The staff were left to hold it together and deal with the outcomes. Despite all this , we had a fabulous stay.
