Excellent location, value-for-money”
Hotel has excellent location, with the famous Bui Vein street just behind it. It is also walking distant to Ben Tanh Market. And there are many eateries around it, including the famous Pho Quynh restaurant. Lastly, I will book this hotel again during my next visit to HCMC as this hotel has a small fitness centre and a rooftop dining experience.
Incredible Value for Money”
This is my second time staying at Elios. The breakfast buffet on the roof top sky bar with a view of park and city is worth the price alone. However, I would recommend paying a little extra to get a park view room. On this trip we did not have a parkview room, and it felt a little claustrophobic. Also, not for handicapped as you can't access the rooftop breakfast without use of stairs.(Elevator stops one floor below roof). Hotel is right in heart of backpacker district and across street from park and Sense shopping market. One block behind hotel is crazy wild "Walking Street" with all the bars and street scene that young crowd would like. The hotel seems to have been discovered by a number of European tour groups, so breakfast buffet packed and hard to get premium seating for breakfast on outdoor patio during rush of tours to eat before leaving for tour, but if you eat before that rush or after, you pretty much have the buffet to yourself.
Sent elsewhere despite booking on Agoda”
Have rated well but COULDN'T STAY THERE as overbooked. On arrival showed booking confirmation from Agoda to be told that a 'system error' meant booking not confirmed. Was sent to another hotel some distance away and not in the area I had been recommended. Very disappointing as had been given recommendations on where to eat, drink and go for massages in the area. Was then stuck out at an unknown location. Friend arrived next day and his booking via Agoda (made same day), allowed him to stay at Elios, so we were staying a distance apart for the only night we had in HCMC together. We had additional taxi costs, difficulty in contacting each other. NOT HAPPY!! The blame was made on a computer glitch on the Agoda booking system.
GREAT. VALUE ”
We visited Elios in the month of. January . Excellent hotel Great value for money . Location close to lots of restaurants. Walking distance to major attractions. Breakfast room on the roof top excellent place to start the day specially with sun rise . Selection of breakfast fabulous. Check in to check out was flawless. Services provided was great . There was little problem with AC. It was corrected immediately. I will certainly stay here .
I like their rooftop bar where you can see HCM's skyline. When choosing rooms, it's better to have one that has no windows so you can avoid street noise at night and early morning. Breakfast was ok, nothing that special except for their spicy fried rice which I think is the normal Vietnam food where everything is spicy. :) Rooms are clean and the rates are cheaper than most other hotels. This hotel is located just walking distance to the night market, but far enough to avoid the loud booming of bars at night.
This is my 2nd time staying at Elios Hotel. The location is good and it's just 10 mins walk to Ben Thanh Market area, another 15 mins walk to Takashimaya. Room is clean too and I appreciate that they gave me an early check in.
Do not stay on 11th floor”
Pros : follow as score Cons : stupid on 11th floor. You will get the noise, sound on 12th floor where is kitchen and breakfast in the morning. Yesterday I woke up 5:30 am with the noise from table or chair movement in the kitchen above my room. So if who want to wake up too late, please do not stay on 11th floor. And the hotel staff should explain this matter forbthe guests who will get the room on 11th floor. So bad from noise on 5:30 am. until 9 am. PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 1101
It's worth it!”
A very good budget hotel, in a tourist part of Ho Chi Minh City (District 1). Hotel staffs are friendly and very helpful. The room and furnitures are dated but cosy and everything work. The air conditioner is new, nice and cold! Can be noisy given the hussle and bussle of the city streets, with car sounds and honking starting early in the morning till late at night. But I suspect this is normal for Saigon. The buffet breakfast is on the top floor, with a view of the city and the park opposite the hotel. Breakfast has a good variety of local and Western fares, which is the high light of the stay. The ABC Bakery next door is super nice and serves good Western style and Vietnamese coffees too. Lastly, it's very easy to book local City and Mekong Delta tours through the Hotel front desk, which is really convenient. All in all, a good budget hotel.
Location and view from restra is just awesome!”
My wife was apprehensive when we booked this hotel last minute for our 3D2N trip to HCMC city but fell in love at first sight when we found out, was just adjacent to our IBIS bus station drop point. Honestly, this hotel should be best pick if you want to be centrally connected to everything in Old Quarters, HCMC and what a view from their 13th floor. Rooms were ok and yes, you could hear voices from neighboring rooms. The staff was formal and had set response to certain queries but helped us with booking of Water puppet show with no extra charge. If ever I have to stay or recommend it to anyone then would be for its quaint location and view from 13th floor if not for anything else.
second time here, good as the first!”
Short stay this second time so chose inside no window room but really good value and quiet as! Staff so helpful and rectified small problem with shower within a couple of minutes - full praises to you all, thank you.
Great location, great rooms, exceptional staff, fantastic breskfast - what more can I say. Nothing too much bother for them. Even repaired my torn shirt without a charge, (although I gave them a tip). 10/10! Gaam ern Elios😀
Only a stopover”
We only spend around 5 hours here between our transit flights from Tokyo to Sydney. This is just a place to find good lunch and crash for a few hours sleep. Location is great, staff are wonderful and understanding. They help breaking my large Đồng note for smaller ones to pay the cheeky taxi driver, whom claimed he hasn’t any change. I refused to tip him after this incident. I always tip for good service. Room is dated, but serviceable. Checking in is a breeze, same as checking out as we have no luggages.
Everything else was great if not for the construction (more like repair and maintenance) going on at the next room. We were unable to have a good rest because of that. On a good note, the massage at the 2nd floor was exquisite!
This is the third time I've stayed at Elios, so obviously I rate the property highly. ”
This has now changed. When I arrived at the property they had no record my booking. After showing my confirmation of booking I was again informed that I had no booking. After an extended wait they found me a room but could not confirm a price. My booking was for 6 nights of which I was staying all 6 nights but my girlfriend was staying for only 4 nights checking in for the 3rd night to the 6th night. I explained this in my booking notes. When she arrived I was with her but the hotel staff took exception to her checking in. The room I booked was for 2 adults X 6 nights and her name was on the booking confirmation. After some discussion they agreed that she should be allowed to check and requested her passport which initially they refused to return to her. I was informed that it was the hotels policy to hold passports. I then politely informed them that if it was hotel policy why had they not retained mine at check-in. They then promptly returned her passport. I believe that the wante
Elios Hotel Great Value”
I found the Elios Hotel in Ho Chi Minh city to be of great value. The location is good & staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Big and clean rooms / nice breakfast
will definitely come back here, first time in ho chi minh, safe hotel for solo travellers. great location to Bui Vien Walking Street & Pho Quynh (must try their Pho). staff were very helpful but i they should understand/communicate more in english. overall stay is great!
good location, good budget”
Good location, just few minutes walk to Bui Vien street, there are so many shops, restaurants around this place. The rooms were clean, nice and friendly staffs. I booked this hotel twice and will book Elios later.
GREAT STAY & HOSPITALITY”
The room cleaner did great job always make the clean and allow us to stay comfort. Breakfast is great and variety every even we stay for a week, they still change the food variety. The air-cond is cold enough because I can see it's newly replaced. However, the bath room lack of ventilation exhaust fan, I hope the hotel can install it as that's suppose to be installed especially everyone.share the same toilet with bathroom.
Good Value, Good Lication”
Good option for value & great location in the heart of the city. Can walk to Reunification Palace & Museum of War Remnants. Bit of noise from works next door so we had to move rooms, but that was straightforward. Good breakfast on lovely sky bar area. Rooms are basic but okay. Wifi isn't stable & a bit frustrating. Good spa with excellent value massages available.
