Hotel Eliseo (Rome) Review”
Hotel Eliseo is located near Villa Borghese (very nice area) and easily reachable by all means of transport. Just be ready to walk a bit in case you use the Metro as both SPAGNA and BARBERINI (Line A) are around 10 minutes away. The Hotel employees are all very friendly and polite and all speak good English. All offer the guests a smooth check-in and check-out. The breakfast area at Level 6 (top floor) is just amazing. It just needs a little renovation works but otherwise is it just a secure and safe place to stay at whilst on holiday or for business in Rome.

Lovely hotel but choose room carefully”
Lovely location overlooking Borghese, but distant from public transport. Also select an internal room to avoid major traffic noise.

Very good”
The hotel is located just outside of the Villa Borghese, which is a nice park and it has the Galleria Borghese, which is a museum with amazing Bernini statues!!! It is a 10 minute walk to the Spanish Steps, about a 20 minutes walk to the Trevi Fountain and about a 30 minute walk to the Piazza Navona. Other interesting sites are easy to reach by Metro, closest stop being the Barbarini stop, Metro line A (which was closed while I was there, but then the Spagna stop is the next closest to the hotel). The breakfastroom is on the 6th floor and has an amazing view of St.Peters Cathedral!!! Having breakfast there every morning was a delight! And the breakfast buffet was definately very elaborate! My friend had a room with a balcony on the side of the park, not sure if she has paid extra for this, but it is a very nice way to spend an evening with a cup of tea to watch the sun go down.

Very good”
Great location. All but one staff member were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast served in the terrace room with fantastic view of the city. Rooms were cleaned and tidied every day. Bedsheets and bathrooms were clean. Though overall walls and furniture are dated, hotel is very clean and it's great value for the money

Best value for money”
The place is clean. Room is quite small (not good for bulky and 6 footer people) but good for two already and the breakfast is good. The rooftop where you have your breakfast is nice and relaxing. Staff were friendly and speaks good English!

Good location but tired hotel decor ”
The hotel was reasonable in terms of style and choice of breakfast. Only one lift, tired decor and no bar service (when we were there). Cheap minibar but no complimentary water

Acceptable”
Decrepit rooms. Pictures on the internet must have been from the 50's. Virgin Mary over the bed a nice touch

We had a great time at this hotel !”
We had a great 3 days at the Hotel Eliseo. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a great location, comfy room, and yummy breakfast in the heart of Rome. There is the Spagna Metro at the corner, no more than 2 blocks away. That corner street also happens to be the Via Veneto ! It is a long walk from the entrance to the to the train itself, but it is all underground which is helpful in the snow or rain. There is a also a small supermarket and a fancy wine shop not far from the exit as you return to the hotel. So handy and saved us a lot of $$. The rooms are smallish when compared to the hotels we stayed in on other trips, but we have been spending most of our time in Asia - specifically Thailand, where most rooms are larger than my first apartment ! The Eliseo had a small desk with chair, a comfy, cushy chair with ottoman, plenty of hangers and a mini-bar . This was much better than most hotels I could afford when I was in Europe before, and the people were certainly much more helpful. I messed up the in room safe, and the lovely gentleman at the front desk came up and reset it for me with nary a cross glance or hint of impatience.

Nice Place in Good Location”
The Eliseo Hotel is located in a nice area of Rome, close to Via Veneto, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, etc. Staff were polite, accommodating, and facilities are nice. You feel safe in this location, right around the corner from Harry's Bar and many nice restaurants. The room's air conditioning was minimal, and opening the window was helpful. Bed was uncomfortable at best, but to their defense, we were only there two nights so did not mention that to the attendant and just suffered through it. Would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel to stay in Rome”
The hotel is next to the Borghese garden. It's within walking distance to the Trevi's fountain and spanish steps. For other attractions, you'd walk 5-7 minutes to the Barberini subway station and take the subway. The room is the most spacious I've ever been to, with great view of the garden and west Rome. the restaurant on the 6th floor offers even better views. the staff is very friendly. The only downside is that the hotel gives a slight feeling of being old. Maybe that's what most Rome hotels are due to the history. I don't have comparison. Overall, great value, good hotel and I would highly recommend it. Thanks Claudio!

The staff were fantastic and very attentive, great views from breakfast. Booked last minute was chea”
I booked for my parents and I-laws. My mother in law was ill the night before and we were travelling from outside of Rome into Rome - I called ahead and staff were so accommodating - they sorted a room out for my ill mother in law way before we arrived so it was ready and she could go straight up to the room after the journey. Breakfast was lovely, rooms were very comfortable, views from the top floor are brilliant. Thanks again.

Excellent”
This hotel is not in the center of town where most tourist destinations are, so it is a slightly longer walk and there are fewer nearby dining options, but it is still very walkable without public transportation or taxis. My mattress was a bit worn out, and the shower drains were sluggish. However, I got a good deal on the room, they had very friendly staff who spoke excellent English, and they provided a very nice breakfast spread.

Very pleasant and well located hotel.”
This was a lovely hotel very well located in Rome with plenty of restaurants and shops in the locality. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom quite well equipped. The view from the breakfast room across Rome was amazing, however the breakfast was probably the worst breakfast that I have ever eaten in a hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly and had excellent knowledge of the locality and Rome in general.

Good hotel”
This hotel location is in between of 2 train station but the famous Spanish step is within walking distance. To avoid misery just take taxi from and to airport. Service is very good. Breakfast is western or french with a lovely view of Rome city. I would like to come back to this hotel.

Great location, excellence service, but old room”
The hotel room is a little old, but is spacious. I booked a room for 3 persons and the size is good. However, the furnitures do need a new replacement. Toilet is new and nice. The hotel staffs are very friendly. The hotel is located in between Spanish Steps and Piazza Barberini. We didn't have luck in finding the hotel when we reached there as we were given wrong direction by the tourist information center :( Eventually we found the hotel with help from locals. Once we found the hotel, it is easy to go around Rome by foot. Breakfast is lovely, and the breakfast room has good view.
