Nice size rooms for families”
Embassy Suites are known for their 2-room suites, and this location has that plus it’s a resort. This is the 2 nd time we stayed at this location so I had a good idea of what to expect. Lobby was the same, I didn’t notice any upgrades since my stay 10 months ago. What makes this a resort is the pool and outdoor bar area along with the spa. The last time I was there I tried to make a spa appointment with no luck. This time I didn’t even try because I knew I wouldn’t be around, but if you’re planning to go I suggest you make that spa reservation ahead of time. This hotel offers free breakfast to its guests. It also has an omelet station where you can get exactly what you want on your omelet. One of the 2 toasters was broken leaving folks waiting an extra long time for their toasted breads. At 5pm they offer drinks and light snacks. Upon check in you’re given drink tickets to use at 5pm. Drinks are ok. Snacks are basically celery & carrot sticks with ranch and some tortilla chips. Don’t expect your kids to eat much. The staff is usually very nice and attentive, however there was an event going on one night and we couldn’t seem to get service from anyone. They were all concentrating on the event and left us to fend for ourselves. We tried ordering a small plate and a drink to no avail. The next night we had a fire alarm go off telling un to evacuate the building, which we did, helping some of our neighboring guests that were having trouble. Again, no staff in sight for assistance. Once outside we waited. Not a word from staff or management. Then we noticed some guests reentering the building. Not a word from management. We saw employees standing around but no one said a word. We proceeded upstairs and went back to our rooms, heard from another guest the toaster caught fire in the kitchen

The facility was nice, clean and staff were friendly. My sunset room was misleading and the only view was a wall! I also did not realize that the sun does not set over the ocean there! The major problem was the Beach was covered with rock piles apparently to ease the erosion, this destroyed the aesthetics and we had to walk about a mile to a clear beach. Also most shopping and dining was a little too far to walk to and transportation was needed. Parking was $27 per night. All said and done we still had a great time, the weather was perfect , the hotel was good, but I would choose a different location next time.

Roaches in the room. Bloodstains on one of the doors.. Overcharged $400 on my American Express now having to fix these extra non-valid charges. Very very disappointed.

This place was beautiful rooms are amazing had partial ocean view on the 7th floor and great view. The happy hour is great and the breakfast and the omelet guy you have to give it up to him. Overall experience was amazing!!

Ok , but very quiet surroundings”
Having been frequent travellers to the U.S we have become big fans of the embassy suites , however this one has changed my opinion somewhat. Yes you still get a managers reception and free breakfast , but expect to payback in other ways ..I mean $22 for valet in a hotel in the middle of nowhere??, so I self parked on the first empty deck of the hotel , to be told by the valet upon registering my car that I had to move it to a floor down another level which was also empty for $18 perday !! Also beware room service charges, as a $9 pizza in the bar will be $17 by the time it reaches your room. Still no free wifi???? ... I mean come on, also be careful on your departure as if you register 2 cellphones and 3 tablets they will try and charge you separately for each internet device you use, lucky I checked as i shaved $60 off my bill....
