Beautiful but pricey”
Empire Spa Retreat is simply stunning, almost like it was designed for a magazine. The rooms are beautifully styled, spacious and well thought out. Breakfast service was greatly appreciated with plenty of dietary friendly options. The price, however, is expensive and probably too expensive when compared to the luxury hotels such as the Pullman which are located nearby. There is no pool, no lunch/dinner options onsite (except for a very pricey hamper) and no fitness equipment. We would return only if the price is right as we cannot justify the boutique experience (no matter how pretty) for the cost.
Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were lovely and nice to have a space to gather that was so cosy. Will definitely go back.
Beautiful and peaceful”
Beautifully nestled in bushland. Great rooms and staff. Breakfast was a delight
Beautiful accomodation but lacking luxury for the price ”
Empire offers beautiful accomodation with exception decor, but for the price per night, it lacks that "wow" factor that many other places in this price bracket have. We stayed for our wedding night in a garden suit room. The room was spacious, very clean and well stocked with bath salts etc. Breakfast was buffet style and tasty; though quite simple and only one or two hot options per day. Spa treatments were exceptional - highly recommend though also very expensive on top of room rates. Would benefit from a pool maybe to up the luxury feel and amenities available to guests. Staff were very friendly and unobtrusive.
Absolutely loved it!! Will be back. It was just missing a pool ☺️
Beautiful private getaway ”
Gorgeous cottage set in natural bushland. Room was stylishly comfortable with quality amenities. Very private and quiet retreat with own verandah to watch sunset. Breakfast was continental style with a hot choice each day, eggs, frittata etc. and barista made coffee. Would return in a heart beat!
Breakfast staff were great. Welcome and reception staff missed the mark. Lack of care. ”
We had a much better experience the last time we stayed here mid 2017.
Great decor and excellent service from the staff members. To be honest, for the amount that we paid, we were slightly disappointed for my husband's birthday getaway. We were right next to the kitchen and underneath another room so it was rather noisy especially early morning and late at night (could hear the couple above us laughing and hear their tele). The shower made the room rather humid and stuffy due to no ventilation (no fan in the bathroom and the windows in the bathroom were locked so we couldn't open them). Overall, the only issue with cleanliness was the black mould on the bottom of the shower curtains. Breakfast wise- I had indicated that I was vegan upon booking however breakfast was very limited especially when it came to plant milk/yogurts. We have stayed at many hotels and retreat-style accomodation and I think little touches like acknowledging birthdays/anniversaries would be nice too.
I fell in love with this hotel the moment i stepped into the room. Love the outdoor shower and the tub. They provide lovely shower gel/body cream/bath salts. The complimentary continental breakfast was lovely. It will be nice if they provided inroom slippers. And at least some complimentary water. Overall, though it comes with a big price tag, the stay was awesome. I would love to return.
Just so beautiful and relaxing. Loved the furnishings and spa was great. Only faults maybe a more modern tv (won’t take a USB) and phone dock wouldn’t take latest phones. Just a gorgeous place but too pricey for us to come to regularly. Hopefully may be able to stay once a year for a special treat. Oh also the breakfast and restaurant area was just lovely.
Beautiful and serene”
Beautiful retreat and did not expect anything less from Empire. The lack of variety for breakfast was a bit disappointing but the breakfast area was so breathtaking, from the interior styling to the view, that it certainly made up for it and not to mention the great coffee too. The spa was equally beautifully however my massage was really average if not slightly disappointing as I was asked all the right questions like level of firmness and problem areas but was not followed through when it came to the massage. My partner however really enjoyed his though so I put it down to my girl who seemed to be new.
Beautiful luxury villa. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice amenities. Love the quiet. The only issue is that fallen leaves are everywhere in the outdoor shower area and never removed. My bare foot was accidentally pricked by a thorn amongst the leaves.
The charm of this accommodation is beyond words. From the entrance, living room and dinning area, all the way up to the bedrooms, the owner has put in extensive efforts in creating a cozy and picturesque atmosphere. Breakfast was splendid! Strong wifi, ample free parking space. Spa-quality toilet amenities. Would definitely return, stay a couple more days and try out the spa!
Could update television and radio in put
The place is an elegant oasis ago ally hidden in the Australian bush. Beautiful breakfast.”
Staff wee incredible, especially Cameron. And their champagne was yummy.
Our 2-night stay was great. My partner and I had just gotten married the night of our stay and they upgraded us and gave us a bottle of sparkling, so considerate of them. The bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to leave. The complimentary breakfast was also good. Can't recommend this place enough.
Highly recommended ”
Beautiful furnishings, spa products and breakfast that's fantastic for an adult weekend getaway.
Creature comforts galore, great staff and such gorgeous surroundings. Serenity and satisfaction all around. Thank you!
Amazing place to go and unwind and to find yourself completely relaxed ”
The best service and hospitality by far , Cameron at reception and Chrisi at breakfast thank you for making our trip amazing. 💕
Had an awesome time, highlights were the morning breakfast and how wonderfully decorated the place was, aircon and heating work fine especially for the cold nights in the Margaret River. Wifi is weak though and TV is quite small and old (so maybe worth upgradin this in future).
