Stopover hotel in Sepang
We needed a hotel for about 17 hours due to flight cancellations. Previously we always book the Concorde Inn but not operational due to a fire. We needed a hotel close to the airport so we would not have to travel too far. The hotel is about 12 floors and we arrived around 7am to be told we should have arrived the previous evening. We had advised at time of booking this would be our arrival time and had to book two nights as they would not guarantee a room would be available. The hotel is a dump, grubby looking and need of a total refit. Our room was grubby, tired and facilities extremely poor. The shower was so full of some build up it spray out like a sprinkler. We had breakfast when we arrived but had been sitting there for some time as everything was cold, bread dry and even though there were six staff standing around giggling and fooling about while someone cooked pan cakes the service was appalling. Everything I asked for the staff just pointed at where it was. The hotel stunk of cigarette smoke on our floor as did our room. Definitely not stay here again when passing through KL Worst experience ever and I have stayed in hotels all around the world. Transport to the airport cost 60 ringgits and was a dirty old van.

Honest, friendly & helpful staff
This has been our hotel of choice for years whenever we attend the F1 in Malaysia, a weekend karting trip with friends or just an overnight before heading back to Singapore. Their staff's honestly was most commendable. Our group stayed there for the night in May 2015. 30 minutes after checkout while enroute to JB, I received a call from reception that a pouch containing about SGD185 has been found in one of the rooms our group occupied. The money was returned via electronic bank transfer. To the management & staff of Empress Sepang... "Thank you...keep it up the good job!" Sandra
