Unprofessional staff & Mediocre accommodation ”
More than a week gone and still haven't got my bond refunded, they keep making silly excuses every time I call. The room was cold and the heating system wasn't working. The shower gel had ran out in the toilet. Had to call the staff to fix them one after the other, which didn't work. They had to transfer us in another room and we had to take our luggage and move to another floor (which was quite bothersome). Only pro wld be the location and parking, and maybe pool in the summer.
Dear Abe, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. I have passed your review to to our Front Office Manager to look into the bond refund and review all your comments with relevant department heads and do apologise. Sincerely, Management
Not good for tall people”
I stayed with my daughter for one night as it was close to MSAC. luckily my partner wasn't with us as his head would of hit the roof in the shower. The bathroom definitely needs a makeover as its dark and cramped in the shower which is over a bath with a very low roof. The beds are super comfortable and the view was terrific of the lake. I'd definitely stay here again so long as my partner wasn't with us.
Dear Belinda, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. we will share your feedback with our teams. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel very soon! Sincerely, Management
Great hotel... just a long way from the CBD. This is a taxi ride from downtown
Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel very soon! Sincerely, Management
Slightly outdated but good value. ”
The building/room felt a bit outdated but the rooms were clean and comfortable. Good value for money. Close to the tram stop - frequent services to CBD. Thanks for the free complimentary upgrade. Will stay again.
Dear Seira, Thank you for the great review of our hotel! We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again very soon. Sincerely Management
Great value ”
This hotel is consistently great value ( apart fromduring the F1). It’s older style in terms of decor but spacious ,clean and comfortable. The gym and pool are better than you would expect at this price. If you are energetic you can walk via Albert lake to the bay and around to St Kilda. In the other direction it’s a 40 minute walk to the Arts precinct/Southbank. Alternatively trams are very close. Parking is easy and cheap and the staff friendly and efficient.
Dear Karen, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel very soon! Sincerely, Management
Great price for a convenient location.”
This hotel is easily accessed by trams that run along St Kilda Road. Although positioned on a very busy road, the rooms are quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is located between the CBD and St Kilda which makes it an ideal place to stay without the hustle and bustle of crowds.
Ideally located between the CBD and St Kilda.”
Bayview on the Park offered us spectacular views across Albert Park Lake to the CBD and the ocean. It was easily accessed from the trams that travel up and down St Kilda Road from Flinders Street Station. Our room was quite large and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was a wide variety of brochures available in the foyer for tourists.
great value quiet reliable”
Good stay . We don't mind the worn corridors , only one towel per guest ,basic but adequate tea and coffee as the rooms are comfortable, quiet and great value with plenty of room and fantastic views across Albert Park. Parking is currently $13 a night under cover and public transport close and frequent. You can be in the city in less than 10 minutes. The pool is lovely and the gym adequate. Previously we have had a lovely breakfast and very nice dinner her . All in all recommended as a solid good value older style hotel
relaxing ,good views”
We stayed in winter,so the walk around the lake opposite was great, watching the black swans and birdlife on the water. clean hotel, with good breakfast, and good view from the huge windows,on the 5th floor. quick registar at desk.close to trams and restaurants close by.
Great location, easy access to Albert Park...”
Stayed for one night with a function across the road at the The Park function room, to which the hotel provided easy walking access. The location is right across the road for the Albert Park lake, and is close to restaurants, etc. The room itself was great, plenty of space, and nice and clean... I would certainly stay here again in the future...
consistent great value city fringe hotel”
Easy efficient check in, good value undercover parking, comfortable clean older style room with dated but not offensive decor. All the staff we encountered at breakfast, bar and desk were pleasant friendly and efficient. The pool and gym were excellent for this standard of hotel. This hotel consistently provides exceptional value for money (even on weekends). I would recommend to all looking for clean, comfy spacious accommodation and who are not too fussed about 90's pastel decor. The breakfast buffet was also good value with option of a cheaper (but plentiful)continental choice.
great value,older style hotel”
excellent stay, quiet clean older hotel with large room smallish bathroom with shower over bath had dinner in hotel restaurant food delicious service excellent stayed fri/sat in premier rooms on 4th floor
Good value for money hotel ”
It was noisy early morning with people yelling out side my room at 8 am . I just don't understand some people. When i complained later in the morning all they were interested in was whether i was checking out or not - unbelievable .
Not that fancy but a great bargain”
Found staff to be very friendly and chipper. Hotel looks a bit outdated and on the other side of St. Kilda Road but it's a short walk and only about a 15 minute tram ride to Southbank. Free coffee and tea plus biscuits in the room. No safe. Breakfast was decent and not too expensive. Definitely book this hotel if you want a cheap, no frills home base while visiting this incredible city.
Great location ”
clean, newly renovated, and good view of the albert park. walking distance to trams, very convenient, and food stores and 7-11 just near by. Love it! Comparatively its not expensive at all, tram ride takes 15 mins to CBD. 10 mins to St. Kilda.
Perfect service with helpfull staff”
I am a returning guest because of the high quality in combination with a very friendly staff. I prefer the premium rooms with view to the lake and park. It is very easy to get into the city with the tramps and the Botanic Garden is also near.
big room with twin double beds”
the service is great and they have convenient car park . We lived in a twin double beds room, the room is clean and tidy. The drawback is that we cannot see the park view from the window which is different from the pics shown on the website.
Lovely hotet and service with smile”
it is a lovely hotel. although it looks a bid far from cbd on the map, it steps to all the trams to cbd and other locations. the hotel is clean and comfortable equips all the supplies you need for your trip. the staff in the front desk is very helpful. they are willing to help you whenever you ask for and always with a nice smile on their face. we ask locations; they even print a map from the computer for us. we will definitely be back to stay in this hotel again if we come to melbourne the next time.
Amazing hotel with amazing veiw”
The hotel is in an amazing spot, the service is really quick, and parking is good. The food is cheap but 5 star quality. The only down side was that they were setting up for breakfast at 6pm, so it was hard to get a table for dinner.
this is my second time staying at bayview, mainly due to its attractive price and free parking. it's not easy to find a hotel that provides free parking, let alone maintain such competitive prices. the rooms are big (premier twin) and clean, and doesn't lose out to other 4-star hotels. great stay, and definitely recommended for travellers planning to drive around melbourne, or just to find a night stay before heading off to great ocean rd!
