BreakFree Bell City offers budget-conscious travelers with comfortable accommodation amid resort-styled gardens. The hotel is only 20 minutes from the central business district and 15 minutes from Melbourne's international airport, making it a convenient base from which to explore the city. The guestrooms, available in four varieties, are well appointed with a good range of standard amenities, including air conditioning and Internet access. Guests can sample some great food at the hotel's JD's Diner & Burger Bar and the Pantry Cafe. Take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool or work out in the fully equipped gymnasium. There is also a business center on offer for those who don't want to miss out on important business obligations.
"Cleanliness is a high priority after great staff."

Birthday Surprise!”
I surprised my partner with a Saturday night stay for his birthday. We had a lovely corner suite with king sized bed and spa bath and a magnificent view out the full length windows. As it was a late booking we were able to get a great rate that also included breakfast.
1 night for business”
Good value for money. Room is clean and adequate, bit tired. Breakfast is ok, REAL coffee in restaurant is good. Close to public transport, half way between city and airport, so location is good especially if you have an early morning flight. Chill restaurant is delightful and food is great in there.
DO NOT be fooled by price !!”
One of the most mistakes I committed ever, reception stuff are not friendly and not respectful. They will not listen to you and find you fake excuses, they do not work as a team and I believe they do not treat people equally regardless of religion, trace, color and gender !!. The first room I stayed in was not clean enough and the bed did not suit my size! although I am 1.8 m long only. Please do not come to this hotel if you value principles and would like to enjoy your stay. Thank you
Great 2 day stay”
Great location to the north of Melbourne. Great experience staying here with a really great breakfast in house. Rooms were good for our requirements, not huge but clean. All staff encountered were friendly and willing to help. Will stay here again.
Room was so so dirty smells very bed heater is not working I feel bathroom is good then room .”
Horrible room , smell so bad , heater is not working , never ever go again . Small room in fire alarm there is plastic bags it’s not 2 floor . Room no 203 I talk with staff then he reply we don’t have another room
You have to ask them to clean the room all the time ”
None
Exceptional”
Functional, value for money efficient staff
business travel one night”
Really good value for the price. Close to airport and city. Good public transport nearby. Nice pool. adequate rooms, comfy beds, free wifi, lovely staff. Good coffee from restaurant.
Easy stay for business”
Easy location, near transport. Lots of parking (not free), free wifi, nice room
Go elsewhere”
The management need to pay better attention to the state of each room re cleanliness, upgrades to bedding and furnishings, as everything is in poor repair and as a consequence it is a most uncomfortable stay. Front desk staff do their best to keep customers satisfied but cleaning and maintenance staff let them down. We will never return.
Fire alarms accidently activated 2 times on the third floor within 5 days, so worry. ”
I've been staying here awhile with different room, but I noticed most room window had gap even when I closed very tight, bed next to window with very cold air goes inside especially at night in winter, the hotel locked the heater at 25C, could not increase the temperature, with cold air gone inside and heater on at 25C which drop the room temperature down, not sure how cold but I have to put on a jumper while sleeping because I used the blanket just to block some gap of the window to minimise cold air come inside.
I paid for 3 nights though Agoda App, which cost me about $45 Aud/night. Very good deal.”
2 adults with a double bed room normal price was about $65 Aud. But when looking inside Agoda App its said $200 Aud/night with 78% discount down to $45 Aud/night (only for 1 adult with single bed room) and I think this is totally wrong advertised from Agoda. No free internet cost about $5/day. Carpark cost $16/day for guests and that worked out $71Aud/day without breakfast. This is not discount at all because with 1 single bedroom cost $71Aud/night and to me it was an average price. I think the Hotel should free parking for guests or maybe free internet.
Good”
Staff were generally helpful, the card system in the lifts is very annoying, cost of parking is a little high, possibly a flat rate of$10 per stay not $16 per night. One of the rooms we've been I In over the last few months actually had wrappers and rubbish on the floor, and another hadn't been vacuumed at all. In saying that the place is great value for money, location is great.
Disgraceful”
Shocked to say the least at this grimy, poorly maintained and dilapidated hotel. The bed needed replacing 10 years ago as did furniture with laminate peeling off and blinds which were filthy.....and we stayed in the top category suite. What a den of iniquity.
Business visit”
Great location, I stay here for business whilst in Preston. Rooms are adequate, breakfast is good, pool is nice. Not ideal if you need to be close to Melbourne CBD, but there are restaurants around the Preston area. Good comfortable budget hotel with lovely staff.
Car parking and wifi are extra cost ”
We got a morning flight to Melbourne on that day. The hotel receptionist allowed us to check-in our hotel earlier and rest in our room. I am so grateful of this. However, car parking and wifi are extra cost which need to be aware of.
Location, staff and cleanliness”
The location is great as it walking distance to tram&train station, woolworths is 15min walking from the hotel though which open til midnight. Theres one male staff at the reception which is not friendly at all. Just try to put some smile on ur face dude. Room is clean, except they didnt care to topup the amenities such as soap and shampoo, need to ask from reception. Please do topup especially for customer who stay a week or more. Overall i would stay again.
Good choice for a quick stay”
Booked the sleep and go suit, was fairly clean with general wear and tear. Room had burn marks on the carpet and was woken up in the morning to someone smoking in the adjacent room. Walls are thin, unfortunate if you have noisy neighbours. However room was worth the price and easily the cheapest in the area. The bed was comfortable, unfortunately instead of one large bed it was two small beds put together. And the view of the sunrise was amazing. Buffet breakfast was also provided in the morning.
