More room in a shoe box”
I've stayed in many hotels over the years, but I've never been in a room so small that I had to open the bedroom door to change my mind. I was almost able to touch all the walls from the centre of my bed. We paid for room only. A good job realy, as Bed and Breakfast would have meant eating at a another venue. I suppose this hotel is Bed only. What was lacking in room space was made up by great staff. I think they have had plenty of people over the years dissapointed with the size of the rooms, ahem, broom cupboards that they know what to say to please the punters. I would recommend that if you're staying in Tel Aviv spend a little more money and get a hotel with a pool. You won't regret it. The Brown Hotel's rooms are as equally small.

Great hotel in a fantastic location!”
The location is definately the biggest plus of this hotel, 10min to the beach, 5min to the market, just on a door step of Neve Tzedek with all great cafes and restaurants. The rooms are very small, but since you're not spending much time in the room, it doesn't really matter. Great rooftop terrace for daytime lounging or evening drinking. The hotel offer free bicycle hire, and on Saturdays free yoga class on the rooftop (which was wonderful). I would certainly come back again!

Modern, boutique and stylis hotel - that also works!”
This hotel manages the perfect mix of being stylish and cool - and working. Rooms are surprisingly big for the area, staff are very helpful, beds comfortable (though maybe on the small size for two people) and the roof top bar is the perfect way to end a busy day exploring the city. Qualitu free coffee and a glass of cava on arrival were very welcome. Will be back. Also - super LGBTI friendly

          Big letdown”
Briefly, this place seems nice in photos, but it’s much more run down in real life. The AC wasn’t working while we were the and the window gave no ventilation. The room wasn’t much larger than a closet and basically the experience there just wasn’t very nice. We stayed at two other hotels in Tel Aviv during this trip and they were both much better - and offered much more for the same money.

          Small”
Its a shame how small the rooms are you bump ur foot in the bed every time, no space for luggage nor minimal necessities in the bathroom. Coffee is only free during certain time of the day, the rest of the time it costs money.

Nice rooms, friendly staff, great location”
The staff at Brown Hotel were really friendly and accommodating. The room was great - complementary bottle of wine and chocolates as a welcome gift was a really nice touch. The hotel is in an ideal location - close to Tel Aviv's start-up hub, Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and within 2 minutes' walk of excellent restaurants and cool bars. Would definitely stay again.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay at the Brown. My room was small but comfortable plus I was out enjoying the city most of the time. What stood out the most was the genuine kindness of the staff. They really went out of their way to make sure that I had everything I needed to make my stay enjoyable. The beach bag filled with clean towels, water and flip flops was greatly appreciated! I would not hesitate to return on my next trip to Israel.

Nice, clean hotel, good location. However, booking didn't include breakfast and breakfast options were only in surrounding cafes. Check-in was rather slow and reception generally seemed under-staffed.

          #1 Boutique Hotel”
I have been to 91 countries, and this is my absolute favorite boutique hotel. Pluses: great amenities, staff, cleanliness, quiet, free in-room wi-fi, etc Minuses: I stretched to find one. Small rooms is all I could come up with, but should not be a deterrent.

          Slightly disappointed”
          Staff, breakfast, location
Overall we had a nice stay though for the money I would have hoped for a little more. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk to the beach and an equally easy 5 minute walk to centre of town. Certainly it is in a nice area where you feel safe and well connected. The hotel feels just a little unloved and slightly tired. There are little remedial jobs to towel rails, toilet seats and the like which made us feel that maybe it needs a bit of time, money and effort put into the hotel. It's 5 years I think since it was refurbished and it is beginning to show around the edges. The "going out for breakfast" idea is really nice and particularly we loved LuLu's. The bedroom has a nice large sofa bed which was great for our 6 year old especially as it is large enough that he didn't fall out of it! The staff are lovely and are really an asset to the hotel. They couldn't be more friendly. If you are a fan of the "Design Hotel" group you will I think have stayed in much more memorable places. We certainly have.

A very chic boutique hotel with couple of flaws”
Very friendly stuff. Very comfy bed and a great water fall shower. Nice free extras: bikes, gym near the hotel, morning coffee at the bar, breakfast at a selection nearby cafe's, bottle of wine
The good: Very friendly stuff. Very comfy bed and a great water fall shower. Great location in the heart of Tel-Aviv (not sea-front) Nice free extras: bikes, gym near the hotel, morning coffee at the bar, breakfast at a selection nearby cafe's, bottle of wine in the room. Very nice rooftop bar + Jacuzzi. Reasonably priced parking in the hotel (limited to 7 spaces) Not so good: Rooms need additional maintenance - we had a blocked sink that was not fixed during our stay and the very nice shower was not completely insulated so water came out to the bathroom. Our room door did not open smoothly - it was touching the floor. Very small standard rooms Conclusion: Very chic boutique hotel. We loved the heart of city location but note that it is not sea front. It would be nice for couples that don't care about the very small standard room. The hotel needs to take better care of maintenance (we noticed renovation in progress for some of the rooms so maybe they recognized that as well). I would give them a higher rating without the maintenance issues that might be resolved soon.
