Great location within the old city. Great for night tour and you don't need to walk far to get back to your hotel. Service was great and luggage very quickly delivered from the shuttle to our room before we step in. Very helpful staff to assist me to print tickets, free of charge!!! Highly recommend to anyone

Breakfast is various and delicious ，the room is very cleaning ，facility of hotel is quite nice and advanced ，but the beds are a bit little ，basically it’s good choice to stay here

An oasis in the very heart of the citadel. Staff are very friendly and helped us book an event that same evening. Rooms are beautiful and clean. If you're staying in Carcassonne, I can't imagine a better hotel than this one.

The Hotel is new, but has attempted well to fit in with its rustic veneer. Only 100m to the Fortress. But still close enough to enjoy a stroll across the Aude to the city and Midi Canal. Hotel situated on a hill at the Fortress entrance with views to the village and beyond. Fields behind are heritage listed too. There's an old wooden catapult and apparently ceramic silos beneath the ground that stored medieval grains. Buffet breakfast has a great assortment - homemade preserves, local saucisson, organic yoghurt, breads, cereals, meats, eggs 3ways. Rooms are comfy and with a view. But the shower is most welcoming to a weary traveller. Overhead, hand held plus 6 side jets!

Loved our stay here - not 5 star but was ok for 2 nights - location was great - a 3min walk to the medieval city

Hotel Central is a small hotel not far from the train station. You can walk there easily. A bit hard to find the first time, but after that it's ok. Hotel is on the main street not far from the shopping streets. A big supermarket nearby. Room is quite nice. Small but clean and quite new. Nice bathroom. TV in room. Staffs are really nice and helpful.

this a basic no frills hotel, spotlessly clean, quiet, great value continental style breakfast for 3.50 euro camel the manager is excellent the downside it is about 2 miles from the old city situated on a major dual carriage way - it is not on a bus route - you will have to walk about a mile to reach a bus route -this is the only downside unless you have your own tranport

My room was very comfortable and good value for money! Bit of walking distance to downtown Carcassonne, but easy access to La Cite Medieval. Would stay there again. Susan, UK

My wife and I were delighted by the central location of the Au Royal and the friendly welcome of the staff. The room was slightly depressing - dark wallpaper - but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom adequate. The breakfast, whilst overpriced compared with those available in the city, was excellent. However, not having a lounge was a negative aspect as was the fact that there was no tea/coffee facitilies in the bedroom

I extended my stay here. Patrick, the host, is knowledgeable about the area, and very helpful, even providing me with a road-map atlas and suggestions on where to go. Breakfast each day was fresh and tasty, our en-suite room was comfortable and spotless.. wonderful view of the old city from the terrace at evening, and the river and park across the street are peaceful. Great value. I highly recommend!!

We were really surprised and pleased with the spacious room. It was clean and well kept. The hotel is also located near the shopping area with food outlets aplenty. Though it was a fair distance from the Cite, it was a pleasant walk through the alleys and squares. It would have been a perfect stay if wi fi was free. Guests have to pay 3 euros for a day's usage. It's really a pity especially when most hotels are now providing this facility for free.

well located near the castle, this hotel provided a good base for our stay in carcassonne. with excellent parking, clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast the hotel enhanced our stay at this location. we would highly recommend this hotel for independant travellers to the castle and the general area.

Very clean appartment and functional, had everything we needed. Jean showed us where to find a supermarket, gave us an English map and friendly, helpful service. Easy to locate and great location.

We did not expect to find this kind of hotel apartment in France, moreover location at the wall of Carcassonne castle is very good

this friendly bed and breakfast hotel provided basic accommodation in a location within a few minutes walking distance from the hotel. the room was clean and basically furnished and the shared toilet would have been an okay feature if it weren't for the thin walls and it's location just outside the door about 2.5 metres from the bed. there is no ac and no fan which could make the room very hot midday. there is also no lift, but staff is more than willing to help carry heavy luggage up and down several flights of stairs. the young couple and their toddler daughter were on site and available from early morning to 8pm, after which it would not have been possible to check in. information about good restaurants both in the old city and the lower city was shared. renting a bicycle from the hotel for an afternoon tour along the canal du midi was both economical and a highlight of my 4 days in carcassonne. although overall i found the city not very tourist friendly, which was surprising given that it's their main "industry", i met some wonderful locals and appreciated the friendly greetings at the astoria hotel.

Couldn't have picked a better hotel. I was only there for 1 night, to visit the old city and then travel on to another location. The bus from the airport dropped me off at the station 2 minutes walk from the hotel and then I left via the train station. The old city was a mere 15 minute walk away, but as it happened I found the walk through the so called new town La Bastide, more interesting. So I saw the best Carcassonne had to offer within 24 hours. Hotel and staff faultless. Note: Taxis have to be ordered in Carcassonne. You don't get them on the street. The airport bus is the best way to go to and from the airport.

The best point of this hotel is the location. This hotel is 20 min foot from the station of "Gare de Carcassonne", but it takes only 5 min to la Cité. You can see a nice view of la Cité from the roof terrace. For family style room without an extra bed, there are two single beds and one semi-double sized bed. Single bed is also enough for man. The hotel staffs are also good.

Good, centrally located hotel but parking facilities were poor. Staff were helpful and courteous.

Everything was nice. One thing I didn't understand was that the hotel's name was not Les Oliviers Carcassonne Cite. I told my taxi driver this name, and he took me to Ibis Style Hotel or something, which I don't remember exactly. At the front desk, I showed my agoda voucher with the name "Les Oliviers Carcassonne Cite" wrtitten on it. She said, "Yes, it's this hotel." I wonder why the hotel has two different names.

Close to the citadel and convenient for the town. Pool area was small and shaded.Rooms clean and functional Parking charges 10euros per night.

I chose this hotel because of its excellent location just across the street from the main entrance to the historic old city. Its very convenient location is the main reason to stay here.This allowed me to avoid the rather long walk to the centre of the modern city from the historic centre. But I needed a taxi to get me to the hotel and back from the train station.The hotel Montmorency is linked with a more expensive hotel across the street where you have to check in. The room was of reasonable size and the hotel was very clean. The toilet and bathroom (separate) inside the room were adequate.Internet connection in the room was free and worked well. I can recommend this hotel if you want something simple but of good standard. The staff in reception were helpful and friendly.

Very good, been 5 times before. Central for concerts in the city during the summer, 10 minute walk.

The host was not hospitable at all. We felt like we were intruders in his house and he watched every move. He made us very uncomfortable. We hardly had wifi connection in the room so we had to stay somewhere in dining area. He did not seem to like the idea. The breakfast was awful, not much choice. One time when we came into the front door he was very upset because the door did not close properly. He was giving us 70 year old ladies a sermon and punctuated it with a curse in French.

Character filled hotel on the edge of town about 20 mins walk to the castle. Close to restaurants in the city and staff were friendly and efficient

We stayed in a small double room on the first floor so that was easy with our bags – we had a view of the small garden by the house. Bertrand who helps his parents run Le Logis des Remparts was extremely friendly and speaks good English. He gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our lovely little room which was just right, more spacious that I had thought initially. Cute bathroom under the stairs as well :) As it is tucked away in a corner of la cite medievale, it can be quite tricky with the hills and cobbled/sandy walkways with luggage. But otherwise it is a perfect base to enjoy your time slowly within the walls of the beautiful city.

staying inside the walled city is special. the lady is lovely and she picks u up in a golf cart and drives you and the luggage there. apartment is great but you will need your own water, bathroom soaps, shampoos and toilet paper. there will also be no clean of sheets or towels while u stay there

Large room (two bedrooms) and balcony. Well located and secure parking. Overall very good but photos on booking site suggested it was a stand alone unit, it is in fact part of a large motel complex with other rooms all around you. Also, only one bathroom and toilet (separate rooms) is limiting for a room that can sleep four in bedrooms and two more on fold out couch.

PleaseRead. Don't get yourself fooled with photos of the place like we did. Superior studio is the apartment"M"we were placed to apt"S". Place is large about25m3. Wooden floors spreading sound so forget about good sleep. I can give reviews on other tenants life with habits and spicy details from their night(my 8yo daughter couldn't sleep). Rest of the night you can enjoy Carcassonne nightlife as every person partying in town passing lane by the apts and windows must to remember Napoleon. Morning after rough night. Coffee maker had filter with mold but luckily I had a look and I'm not in hospital. I asked accommodation lady to swap it with ordinary kettle. She got plastic piece which warm up water instead of boiling it.Bathroom.Door to it is made from plywood and try to close it if you can.Shower had 2 modes.Boiling water or cold.Go and shower a child now.Place is cold with 1 working heater way too small.Bad pillows, no hangers,dirt behind beds.For this price? Outrageous. Don't go there
