Really friendly staff”
Staff were so welcoming and offered us free breakfast even though we overslept and officially missed the breakfast time. They always greeted us with a smile :) location is also very convenient. Bathroom and shower are a bit old but still no problems

horrible and disgusting”
We booked the guesthouse in advance but couldn't stay there for one night. The room, the bathroom and the bed were really dirty. There were ants and a big cockroach in the room. The owner was friendly, but didn't understood english and couldn't help us booking a bus ticket for the next day. We would advise against to stay in this guesthouse.

Really helpful staff and good localization”
It's the place in the city center, good point to start walking trip in Yangon. There work really helpfully people. Breakfast is good with regional ingredients. Good quality price relation. We felt asian climat. Beathroom is not cery well.

Lovely owner”
In the middle of a Yangon-style street (thus; very crowded! But interesting), this Guesthouse was enough. You need to go up some stairs to get to it. Just look for the sign from the street, hanging from a second or third floor. It is very basic, but Ok for its price. Lovely owner, nice breakfast with fruits, tea and coffee. Toilets are not a good standard though, and wifi does not really work. If I were not a backpacker, I may prefer another place ;)

Great Location, Amazing staff, good price”
The hotel is well located, close to a good night market and walking distance from attractions. The staff is amazing super helpful and their breakfast is great! Room is basic, and only one bathroom to share for all.

Worse bathroom in whole Asia!”
We escaped, after 10hours bus trip we just wanted to shower but when we Saw the bathroom we got scared. We are used to travel in budget hotels in asia and this was really the worse place we ever saw. A big open tank of black water in shower room, so humid and stinky. I asked the owner and he confirmed that black water was for the shower, so disgusting! Agoda shouldn't list places like this. Room was small but ok,breakfast very poor fruit with no taste, towels not clean, smells of pee everywhere, no air in the room at all and that bathroom........oh my god, is cheap but not worthed, don't go there,be careful:is not the Chan myae listed on lonely planet!

Basic room in excellent location”
You get what you pay for: a basic room with basic shared bathroom. Location is perfect! Staff is super nice, they helped us to book a bus to the thai border, spoke with local taxi drivers for us, etc. The most lovely detail was that we were checking out early with no time for breakfast, so they bought for us some local typical food and gave it to as as a gift! Lovely people!

Everything is ideal - but just too hot!”
The location is fantastic, the staff could not be better, they're also really helpful, polite, warm and welcoming. But the two different rooms we had were both hotter inside than out of the rooms. If you want to pay for air conditioning, then this place is for you. Keep in mind this is a guest house and not a hostel! It's a pity that only one detail prevents this place from being absolutely perfect -- but it's such an important detail; even with the fan in full, it was just blowing hot air around and we had difficulty sleeping our entire time there. I don't know why the air in the room was so much hotter -- it was much cooler even directly in the hallway right outside our room. And the room unfortunately didn't have a window to open up...

Very good”
The location is perfect, but that's the only reason to stay here. The toilets and shower were dirty, and our sheets had lots of stains. Our room was so hot - definitely choose an air conditioned room, we only had a fan.

Amazing location”
Our stay was for one week and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful with everything! Breakfast was delicious and they were accommodating to our vegan life style. They answered all the questions we had and helped us out in our next leg of the trip. This place is great for people looking to explore Yangon. The room is in the center of the city amazing location for backpackers, people looking to live like the locals, and street food. If you're really uptight and looking for more of a resort/hotel look elsewhere. Room is clean and hot water in the shower. I would for sure stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Horrible”
Very thin partition between rooms. Can hear everything from each room and reception. Not a good night sleep. Only one shower (with large open tank of still water in the shower room - not so hygienic?) Only one toilet. Had to wait to use it. Staff friendly but charged us 10, 000 kyat for a sheet we accidentally spilled a drink on. Even though it is cheap, I would not recommend.

Beware of the name”
Indeed we wanted to book Chan Myae, because it had better reviews. We ended up with Chan Myae Thar, by hazard of the name. A reminder mail on gmail was "Chan Myae coming soon". Kind of fishy, might thing it's on purpose. Bad breakfast... Bad room, no windows, smelling moisture. Bad value for the money. Friendly staff, but I think the man was abusing the kid with the work.

Lovely staff and traditional breakfast! ”
The hotel was quite hard to find, as the sign outside is tiny! But luckily the locals are very helpful and showed us the way! The breakfast was brilliant! We were given traditional food which we absolutely loved trying! The staff are all wonderful, very friendly! However sadly they do employ a young boy, which may be normal in this Country but if you don't want to support child labour don't stay here! The bathroom is shared, sometimes there was toilet roll other times not. There was also a mysterious bowl covered on the floor which had water in but people had used as a bin. On our second stay two weeks later it was still there and not in the best health! Other than that the cleanliness was brilliant! Quite a few Mosquitos so bring repellent!

Smelly and noisy”
Despite the great location, I cannot recommend this place. Incredibly noisy and dear lord, that smell. Rooms are small and dirty. Better invest 2 dollars more for a much better deal.
