Beautiful hotel, however I would rather call it a cottage. Located away from the hustle bustle of the city Almora. Made up of all pinewood wood, new property, polite staff. We checked in the luxury rooms which faces the sunrise. The rooms are reasonably big with a nice balcony. However the geyser they have is too small to offer enough hot water for shower. Considerin...

The Anant Rasa is not on the main route to anywhere. The final 2 kilometres to their doorstep is best accessed by a SUV kind of vehicle. The estate involves a fair amount of walking to reach between the reception and rooms and the dining facilities. And the place is a priceless diamond, not in spite of this, but because of these. The location, the sterling staff and th...

Even though it's situated on the outskirts of almora it's totally worth it. One of the best sunsets I've seen. View at night form my room was equally amazing. It overlooks the almora valley so u get to c the shimmering lights on ur large window pane.. Just one lil drawback . The house keeping staff needs to be lil more attnetive

Everything about this hotel is great!! the hospitality is very personalised. the rooms are big and very clean with an unobstructed view of beautiful Himalayan ranges. the food is as good as home made food and typically kumaoni cuisine. its perfect for a family weekend away from the hustle bustle of the city as the location is very quiet and untouched. Shoutout to t...

We spent a couple of nights at this property. The staff here is very helping and cooperative. The property is well maintained and offers a very good economical choice as well. The highlight is the food. Mohan's Cafe is actually more popular than the retreat. People from down town Almora only come here for the food. Overall a very good choice. Highly recommended.

This is the best place we have stayed at throught many months of travelling in India. We were adopted by Sabu and Harsh who's kindness and attention were more than we could have ever hoped for. The views from the rooms are breathtaking and Harsh's cooking was exceptional, each dish prepared fresh and with great culinary expertise. We left with tears in our eyes and wit...

A bit chard to find so bring the phone number.. Wi-Fi is spotty . No food onsite but they will order for you or you can go out for a short walk. Staff is eager to help you. And very friendly. Panoramic views to the north. Steep steps to get to most rooms..

nice location, close to the bazaar and the shopping center with a nice view of almora. hot water was working. the room is little but quite modern and the free internet connection was great (with the cable, provided by the hotel). sometimes electricity goes away. in december the room is very cold during the night.

The stay was excellent. Service was Gud . The food was excellent. Only point of concern was the booking. Pls confirm from the hotel in advance if booking is done through online portals. There were issues and hotel was not obliging to the booking through Agoda.com. My issue got resolved after speaking to Agoda. Thereafter, the stay was comfortable.

Excellent stay. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a great base for nearby treks in Almora. The view of Nandadevi on a clear day is fantastic. A highly recommended property for the discerning traveler who seeks tranquility and is not looking for the city on the hills.

This hotel is at nice place at Kosi, by the side of River kosi, good maintenance of property, good people, good food, their restaurant serves tasty food, only one thing lacks here is network, mobile data network is hard to find, hotel wi fi is not useful. No voda, no Airtel, no Jio works here only BSNL works. Hotel Shivalik is good place to stay.

The OYO-zation of Indian hotels continues, even in a vacation beauty spot like Almora, where there would have been independent hotels with character. This ugly concrete complex is very strange, with a handful of OYO rooms on a lower level (but with good views) and directly under a marriage hall and cinema. From 11 am to night, the rooms rumble with the loud sound and...
