We stayed here for one night and headed to Takeda Castle in the early morning next day. The staff is very helpful, he explained to us all transportation about going up to the castle and recommended to us nearby restaurants upon our arrival. Plus it's very close to the station, it was a very good experience staying here.

The ladies running this ryokan were SO helpful and accommodating. We arrived later at night and accidentally came in through the back door of their home (oops!) and they were so excited to have us. They don't speak English, but we were able to communicate where we were from and they were able to give us advice on the best way to view the Takeda Castle ruins. They even ...

They even provided us flashlights and hand-warmers for our early morning hike, which turned out to be life saving! Not only was the hospitality superb, but the floor mat and bean pillow set up provided us with the best sleep we had during our the whole trip. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone staying near the area and wanting a traditional ryokan experience.

This is family style ryokan and the boss are superb friendly, they even provide free shuttle to visit ritsuunkyou in the morning. Overall is a nice stay and strongly recommended for those who want to visit takeda castle and view the takeda scene from another mountain

- the place is clean and cosy - very nice meals and their efforts to entertain our food preference/requests are highly appreciated (best to choose half board as there aren’t many eateries nearby) - the staff members are extremely nice and helpful (they helped treat my friend’s leech bite)

I was told that I have to check out at 6 am. after I just checked-in. Since I ask the staff that can I check out before 10 am. Which is the time that written in condition that I read before I booked this hotel. The staff insisted that I have to check out before 6 am. Otherwise I have to pay extra money 800¥ per hour which mean if I want to check out at 10 am I have to ...

I found the intruction book of the hotel which said guest can check out before 10 am. So I bring the intruction book to the reception. The staff relpied as “I can check out at 10 am but have to pay extra money. Atleast, hotel called a taxi for me which I have to taxi fare on my own (the most of hotels I have stayed at in Japan provide a free service for taxi) The hotel room is sastified but I have to check out before dawn which is quite unpleasant.
