"We have been coming to the Ramada for 12 years now, sometime we stay 2 or 3 times a year. We have stayed at a lot of 5 star hotels in Bali but nowhere we have stayed has had the same setting or relaxed atmosphere as the Ramada. The Ramada has the lot, great pool, magnificent gardens, friendly staff and great breakfast. The only thing is the staff no longer serve the coffee during breakfast any longer, you have to actually get your own. My wife and I highly recommend this hotel. "

"This is set in the walled community that is Nusa Dua. The local shops are located just outside the gate and the tourist strip at Tangung Benoa is close by. One advantage is that nearly every restaurant we went to offered free transport to and from the hotel. There is also a shuttle to the shopping at Bali Collection. The room we had was absolutely fantastic. One of the best we have stayed in. The pool scene was quite lively with the obligatory swim-up bar. The breakfast buffet was quite pedestrian. A special mention to the staff at the customer relations desk in the lobby. They were more than helpful in arranging restaurant and transport bookings whether in the resort or outside in the town. They were also able to provide very good recommendations when we asked them. Because this is in a walled community, it is a bit of a walk to the shops unless you avail yourself of the free shuttle buses to Bali Connection or if you go to a restaurant that provides pick-up. "

"The Kuta Paradiso Hotel was very nice with excellent facilities and a fantastic breakfast buffet (best we had in Indonesia)! I was a bit disappointed with the location of our room within the hotel (1st floor located above a bank of HVAC units that were loud and hot when outside on the balcony), but the room itself was fine. Location of the hotel is great, very close to the beach, a large market and central to tons of restaurants and shops. Too bad Kuta itself has become such a non-descript tourism ghetto. Nothing to do with the Kuta Paradiso Hotel, but I would not stay in Kuta again, I would look for a hotel near one of the other local beaches (e.g., Echo Beach) that are less crowded and still retain some Balinese character. There's nothing "Bali" about Kuta, unfortunately..."

"I hate to write this since the hotel employees were exceptionally friendly but otherwise I didn’t like the flair of the Hotel very much (would give it 3 stars). The rooms are big, clean and modern but a bit cold and since the hotel just opened it was still not really finished. Facilities were still closed, the pool area poorly designed, no place to sit on the balcony, very poor room service (food). I wish the team all the best for the future though, they did there best!"

"This hotel was wonderful. It is only a five minute walk to Echo beach, the staff is friendly, the pools are gorgeous and almost always empty (when i was there), and the rooms are stunning. I got the largest villa room with an outdoor bathroom that was the size of a New York studio apartment. Wow! The only downside is that when it rains the sound is really loud because of the roof on the outdoor bathroom. But that is only a minor issue. It is very quiet and the bed is extremely comfortable. I got the best sleep that I have had since I started traveling in South East Asia. The restaurant is good, but I recommend eating in town for better value."

"We stayed in Adi Dharma hotel for two nights from April 28-30. This was the first time we visited Bali and stayed in Adi Dharma hotel. We had a fantastic experience! I can say, which I mean it, Adi Dharma hotel is the best hotel I've ever stayed! It has nice location, great facilities, and excellent service. We appreciated the friendly staffs and excellent service! We arrived at the hotel at around 9am, the hotel was nice enough to schedule us a room for early check-in. The hotel also provided car and driver in a competitive price. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. We booked a car to Ubud for a one day trip, but we left a baggage at the car. We didn't think of it in the last day we were in Bali when we packed our luggage to airport. At that time we've already checked out and in another hotel in Nusa Dua. We contacted Adi Dharma hotel to see if we can go to pick up, unfortunately the car was out for a trip with other guests, they would be back after 6pm, but our flight was at 8:30pm. The staff told us time would be too tight, and they were worried we would miss the flight because we needed to be in the airport 2 hours in prior to the flight. At last, they offered to send a car to deliver our baggage to the airport for us. At 6:30pm, we met the driver from the hotel and got out bag back before the flight at the airport. We were thrilled and moved by the service. Thanks so much for their help! We could never imagine a hotel would be so considerate and customer oriented. "

"Ulun Ubud is a very stylish & well designed + decorated hotel. The view is breathtaking and helps to calm down from busy Ubud life. The sights are just a 5-15 min drive away.Food (breakfast & lunch) was very delicious & well prepared. 3 drawbacks: The staff is very well trained, although I have to say,as in all other Bali hotels so far, their English needs to improve. Questions & longer sentences were often only understood when I repeated them slowly. Also, they are overservicing a bit - it becomes annoying. Schedules for cleaning & their free shuttle are inflexible. So,staff knocks on your door (no door sign) 2-3x/day to clean your room - not great for relaxation. Shuttle did only run from 9am-5pm every hour.No chance to go out for dinner to Ubud for free. It's a bit noisy,as loggias have open wooden carvings & no doors. One tip:Ulun Ubud has many stairs down to the rooms & up to front desk & restaurant. So you need to be in a good physical condition to be able to cope with them."

More about Bali

Bali is a world away from the rest of Indonesia, and a longtime favorite with international travelers. Surfers have been coming here since the 1930s, but it wasn't until the 1960s that surfing vacations to Bali became the popular thing to do. Today, the trend continues and Bali sees as many surfers as it does affluent resort tourists.

Indonesia may have the world's largest Muslim population, but Bali fosters its own distinct culture. Hinduism has flourished here for nearly 2,000 years. Away from the beaches are fascinating Hindu temples, cultural exhibitions, terraced rice fields, and colorful festivals.

Kuta is the busiest resort district in Bali, featuring some of the top luxury hotels in Bali. Behind the main waterfront is a spread of budget guesthouses that are still within easy walking distance of the beach. From here it's a short trip by taxi or rented motorbike to Uluwatu, a massive limestone peninsula jutting out in the sea. Tourists visit Uluwatu to see the temple, go surfing, or watch the sunset over the majestic cliffs.

Legian is another must-see, as it offers an excellent surf along with exciting nightlife along the beach. Life in Legian begins and ends on the beach. Surf shops give lessons by day, and then give way to lively bars and live music venues after sunset. There is a reason that Bali is often referred to as paradise, and much of it is evidenced by a visit to the many beaches.
