Traveling to South Africa? Find Ballito hotels

The shuttle service in to Ballito, shopping centers was good Both breakfast and dinner buffet was good A nice Wine bar with a nice view over the sea and a good Caesar salad. First we got rooms without balcony , and when we were there it was a bad weather, raining and thunder a lot so we asked for rooms with balconys so that we didn't have to be inside. We got 2 rooms with balconys , but one room had a bad smell, like someone had smoked there before. My son have asthma and couldn't stay there. But we had that feeling that we didn't want to "give more problem" We already got help to have rooms with balconys so we didn't want to go there one more time to ask for one more new room. Me and my husband stayed in that room. And we appreciate that we could sit outside. Our last day we asked for late check out and finally we got one of the rooms up to 2 a clock We appreciate that so much We had very good service to first have rooms with balconys and then could have the late checkout.

i would rate this as the best hotel in its category. The rooms are extremely comfortable but most importantly, the staff are fantastic and there is an all-round awesome vibe. The food is amazing and its a great spot to socialise.

More than a walk away from the restaurants and evening life of Ballito but a nice house with well appointed, comfortable rooms and a very good breakfast cooked to order.

Excellent overall however meals are overpriced and they really should offer a service to press and launder guests clothes for the price they charge and their star rating. Will definitely visit them again.

A delightful choice for a one-night stopover. Beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Wished we could have stayed longer. Will definitely go there again when the opportunity arises.

Beautiful property, nothing Zimbali about it though, it could do with an update on a few things such bed linen and towels, the pool was dirty and not operational when we stayed. the house has the best views of the ocean.

The hotel is just off the north coast highway at Ballito, some 50km from Durban. It is visible from the highway, which is an advantage as it is easy to find, and I was impressed by the fact that highway noise was virtually non-existent in the hotel. The reception was warm and friendly, the room was very comfortable (particularly the bed!) and my only gripes were a somewhat noisy air-conditioner and a restricted number of TV channels. Some may find the location 'interesting' - the sea is over the hill, and instead the hotel is in an industrial estate. The view at breakfast of a fork-lift moving pallets of bricks was - well, different!

Zuider zee was a lovely place to stay at, the rooms were clean, showers hot, safe and secure, the owner was very helpful and assisted wherever necessary and the location was very convenient. I would definitely recommend staying there, great value for money.

We stayed in this hotel on our honeymoon. This was the last stay of our three week holiday and this 5-star hotel did not come close to the other hotels we stayed it and this was mainly down to the staff. It felt like the staff thought they did not have to make an effort because the hotel was in an amazing location. It was truly beautiful but when the staff are not nice or helpful this takes the shine from the rest. The staff did not even congratulate us on our marriage even though it was written on the booking, all other hotels congratulated us and some gave us a bottle of champagne (I don't drink but the token was nice) or a free desert with our meal or made us heart shaped pancakes for breakfast. It is just an acknowledgement which is nice. This was out longest stay of the trip, 5 nights. It was such a pity because all the foundations are there to make this a 5 star experience, I really hope that management make sure staff are trained to bring this hotel experience up to the level it should be. We saw staff showing potential investors around and they were falling over the investors and wining and dining them, if they even put a fifth of that effort into normal clients and by that I mean in manners not in freebies it would have been a very different experience. One final point, the walk way down to the beach had some dangerous blocks and it looked to be a subsidence issue, these were quite dangerous and need to be fixed. Final positive comment, the breakfast here is excellent, I am not a breakfast fan but both of us really enjoyed the breakfast here.

from the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home. our huge room was tastefully decorated and had every amenity that anyone could ever want. the breakfast was also great and the staff were always friendly and helpful. restaurants and shopping is a stones throw away and so is the beach. definitely will be back!

What a wonderful place to relax and see the sea. This lodge offers it all, personal attention to detail, breathtaking view of the ocean, yummy breakfast and helpful staff. A place I would definitely return to .

I wish our stay here could have been longer, the beach was close to the venue as the website reflected. What you see is what you get. I believe that I would love to stay here more often, Thank you for the discounted price.......totally worth every cent! looking forward to spending December holidays at Frinton on Sea 3!

Establishment is overall good. Christa and staff are very friendly. Love the dogs! Preferably an establishment for people who don't mind pets, which are well behaved. A TV in the room would have been good. Other than that, great location in Ballito and private entrance was good.

We enjoyed our stay, accomadation is for 2 persons max, clean and comfortable, with complete self catering facilities, gaining access was inconvenient as there is no buzzer or intercom, cleaning service and wifi was not provided. If we returning to dolphin coast will definately consider three palms
