I and my wife were there for 2 nights on out honeymoon and loved the place! The location and the view was breathtaking! Only negative fact was that the air-con was not working due to some power problem. However, since its not that warm and very windy we did not feel it too much. It is a bit out of the way and the road to the location is broken which also adds to the ad...

Authentic colonial house that used to belong to the tea estate. Nice old furniture, large swimming pool and British tennis court. Staff extremely polite and helpful. But all this at a price a bit above good hotel average price in Sri Lanka, especially for the dinners which have poor value for money (twice as expensive than Sanctuary at Tissawewa for example, for very s...

Me and my boyfriend ended up staying here for 3 nights and it was by far our best time in Sri Lanka. Our room was huge and clean with a TV with all sky channels. The guest house is ran by 3 people and the service was outstanding. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. We loved the food and ate all of our meals at Eees Cart. The young guy was brilliant and took us for a ...

The couple who own this hotel could not be more friendly. They were so welcoming even when we turned up really late at night after getting stuck on a bus! The room was really clean and spacious and the breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka- they offered western or Sri Lankan+both tasted amazing! Really helpful with directions and maps to the walking spots.

Very satisfactory, all staff including the general manager - Mr. Revatha Hettiarachchi is very welcoming and close to guests! Highly recommended location to chill and stay at Bandarawela! The tranquil gardens right at the top of the hotel is also a must see! Hope to stay at The Orient Hotel during my next visit to Bandarawela !

The Hotel is in Bandarawela, this town is very noisy and dirty! Wie stayed just one night on our journey to Nuwara Eliya, this was our worst stay on our whole trip! The bathroom was very dirty, wie did't Take a shower and wait for the next Hotel! The food was ok, also the breakfast! Probably you can't get more for this price!!

As soon as we arrived, we were welcomed. Check in was very quick which was good after the long drive. We stayed for one night and we were looking for somewhere with good value as oppose to overly expensive. This was certainly it. Having stayed at Bandarawela hotel before, I can say that the service was superb and I found it a better stay due to there care and attention...

The Long Beach Hotel was a breath of fresh air. Everything we expected from a professionally-run resort was there. The private beach was especially nice, and it is possible to spend hours there catching the waves. The staff were friendly and attentive. Thumbs up.
We stayed two nights in Vlars Holiday Bungalow. The staffs are not very present and don't speak English for most of them. The room was ok, with a nice terasse outside with view on the hill. The place is very quiet as well. However, the bungalow is outside of the city and difficult to acccess if one is not motorized. The breakfast was absolutely terrible and as the gu...

After seeing the pictures on the internet hotels often surprise you when you see the real thing. But often in a negative way. Not this one! The interior of this centuries-old colonial building is beautiful and very tasteful. In spite of the building being old and full of original objects everything is very clean! The staff is very attentive and friendly. It's in walkin...

This is a great place to stay. One of our group had become seriously sick just prior to arrival and the hotel staff organised everything including early check in, bigger room, doctor, blood tests, pharmacy and followed up on everything. Highly recommend. Food is fresh from the garden The cook is very charming and is a former cook to the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka. The...

We stayed in beautiful Dutch House and were treated like royalty! so much attention to detail made the property ever so interesting, quaint yet luxurious. The team at Dutch house went out of their way to make our stay perfect, ever so caring and obliging. The meals were delicious and impeccably presented. thank you for spoiling us on our little vacation

Roseland Cottages offered the most wonderful views and tranquil setting for our family. Away from the hustle and bustle of Ella, we spent two enjoyable days exploring the local area. But the highlight for us was the relaxing time spent enjoying the beautiful scenery and fabulous food at Roseland. The owners and staff were helpful and provided great recommendations for ...

Excellent place surrounded by lovely environment. This place is so much enough for 6 persons. Clean and nice place with all the kitchen material including washing machines and refrigerator. 10min away to supermarket. So many things to enjoy around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
