"This was my second stay at Code Apartments and I do not feel the need to seek any other accommodation in the future. It suits my purposes ideally. As they are serviced apartments, not a hotel, you need to self-cater. There is no on-site dining facility. This is a minor issue which was of no concern to me, personally, whatsoever. The apartments are within a five-minute easy stroll of the southern end of Bowen Hills railway station (only two stops north of Brisbane Central and six stops from Brisbane Airport) and are visible from the station. For me, as comfortable as a five star hotel, without the price tag."

"Staff was nice and friendly. The room that I was in was not cleaned yet but we were able to leave our bags in the room. We left the hotel for an hour as they advised us that the cleaners are cleaning a room and will clean it while we are out and to come back in an hour. We can back after an hour and the room still wasn't cleaned. As I was about to go down to reception the cleaners were at the door. They cleaned while we stayed on the balcony. I am not surprised they took a while to clean the room before ours. The state the previous people left the room I was in was horrible. There was butter wrapping on the floor. The bathroom was dirty and not the toilet was not flushed properly. The floors were dirty and the beds were in a bad state. I stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment so there was a lot of cleaning. They were nice and apologised for not cleaning before we got there. The apartment was modern. We had 3 balconies. The main balcony had a good view. The other 2 was facing construction. The weekend was good because because it was quiet but when construction workers started it was pretty noisy early in the morning. So it wasn't good if you had a late night. Overall was a great hotel. It will be much better when the construction if finished. It is a fair walk to the main city but you can access it by train. And the train station is only 7mins away from the hotel."

"I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend. The location was really nice, in the central of brisbane city so it was easy to go anywhere on foot. There were only two of us but we got a really huge room and that was really sweet. The staffs were really friendly and thoughtful, I will come back again if i could!"

"Check in was delayed due to computer problem, but I still got into my room well before the official check in time. But whether due to availability, generousity or whether to thank me for my patience I was upgraded from a single to a double. The rooms are not spaceious, but I did manage to get two large suitcases in and still move around. Also though I had a window, much of it was taken up by the air-con unit. But that suited me, as when I was in the room, it was to sleep, so the blind would have been closed anyway. Fridge with cold water (and space for your own drinks and food)and a tv, makes the room very guest friendly. Walking distance to the railway, and from there easy links to the airport or elsewhere in Australia. Staff very friendly and down to earth, willing to do the simple things, like help me with my bags up the three or four steps to the lift. Only way this hotel could get better in my mind would be to include free wifi, currently you have to pay. Comfort and location on a budget in Brisbane, a great gem of a hotel. "

"This was our third stay in 3 months and was chosen primariy because of it closeness to the centre of Brisbane. Great room menu at very affordable prices. The rooms are well appointed and they probably have the best appointed bathrooms in Australia. Found the staff to be helpful, warm and friendly. Will return again."

"On a positive note the apartment was large and airy. The dish draw dishwasher did perform well. The other facilities were disappointing in that the included free wi-fi was poor at best. The front load washing machine was caked in washing powder and required considerable cleaning before it could be used. A Foxtel box was in the apartment but provided no access to any channels. The microwave tray was very dirty. The shower recess had mould around the framework and really didn't provide the guest with an impression that the apartment had been cleaned since the last occupants."

More about Brisbane

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland – The Sunshine State – and one of the fastest growing cities in Australia. This vibrant city has much to offer, including fantastic beaches, arts and culture, picturesque cityscapes, and an exciting live music scene. Accommodation in Brisbane’s city center ranges from sleek high-rise hotels to comfortable serviced apartments with more accommodation found in the suburbs in the West End and East Brisbane. Brisbane Airport is the city's main access point for international travelers.

Brisbane is surrounded by some stunning geography. On one side is the Brisbane River, on the other side is the Great Dividing Range. Bars and nightclubs in Brisbane are equal to those found in the big cities of Sydney and Melbourne, with international music artists and DJs regularly touring the city.

For the adventurous, Kangaroo Point is a must-see. Here, travelers can scale the walls of Brisbane River, go abseiling, kayaking, rollerblading, or cycling. There are also barbecue and picnic spots in the area with activities continuing well into the night. Visitors also have the option to gain an aerial perspective as they float over Brisbane in a hot air balloon. On clear days, it's possible to see as far as the Glasshouse Mountains 70 kilometers away.
