Overall its a reasonable hotel, located on the A2 Motorway. Its around 3 miles from Canterbury city
centre, so not easy to walk, as some parts lack pedestrian walkway. However, if you come out of the hotel and follow the pavement to the left, it leads to the old Roman Road, which is now a quiet lane, follow it as it turns to join another side turning from the A2, again turning left, after passing a few houses there is a bus stop under some trees. Here you can catch a bus (number 3/3B), which will take you to the city centre. Walking to the bus stop takes 10minutes, the bus journey varies, according to time of day, as the 3B is a school bus, with more stops, but averages 15 to 30 minutes.
The buffet breakfast is included, so you can eat as much as you desire. It had sufficient choices, from toast, fry up, continental, cereal, fruit, or yoghurt, as well as hot drinks and juices. Its all self service. Only criticism is that only baked beans, sausages and scrambled eggs to choose from for your hot breakfast, along with toast. I think maybe fried eggs and bacon could be added, maybe tomatoes and mushrooms too, a I'm sure the chef could manage it! On the other hand, the evening meals at the restaurant were very good and the chef was excellent in my opinion. Basic internet included free, but pay extra for second person using it per room, or for faster connection. Staff were friendly and efficient.
