Close to Jinhae, town of cherry blossoms. I stayed in this town for one night just so we can spend more time in Jinhae.
It is quite a nice area.
very close to Jinhae, it's a good location for spending a night during the cherry blossom fest. Not far from Busan (40mn it's easy to find and cheap compared to the cities around)
Great location as it is 27 minutes to Jinhae and the Cherry Blossom Festival, the Korean Naval Academy and some great hiking.
We really enjoyed learning about the Changwon culture and had a great stay at Hotel Avenue. This hotel was a perfect find for us.
Changwon is the perfect mix of big city and quiet town. You can find whatever you are looking for here.
Families, Singles, Groups, Couples... no one will be disappointed here! Soccer, Baseball, and there is not nearly the traffic issues of Seoul or Busan to contend with.
Changwon-si is gorgeous! We loved the area - great hiking, beautiful parks, and the cherry blossoms are amazing!
It is a safe place to roam and visit in a relaxing pace.. You can enjoy the Yongji park at night with a musical fountain scheduled every night at 7:30 and 8:30 PM.
. The city is clean and you can travel to Seoul for a day using the bullet train (2 hrs travel time).. It is also near Busan.. There are places where you should visit such as the Maritime Museum near Masan Bay.. The only setback for us as travelers is the language barrier.. Some can't understand English..
Changwon is a nice sized city, not too big, not too small. It has all of the conveniences of a large city with a small town feel.
There are plenty of places for shopping, but not much for sightseeing. Visit Changwon House too see some traditional Korean buildings. You can climb the mountains surrounding Changwon or visit the wetlands just outside of town. Transportation is easy with plenty of metered taxis and an efficient bus system. You should visit Youngji Park in the Spring or Fall for a nice walk around the lake and watch the water light show after dark. Overall a nice place to visit for a short time, but not much to see for more than a day or so.
Great big city with all you need for a good experience. Pay a visit to the CECO Exhibition centre which has a superb buffet restaurant with a big variety of food for all.
Food is very cheap and first class international food. The City7 area has some nice and interesting architecture.
Big, modern city, with much history, museums and green areas. Very pleasant and social city, with cheap taxis, and public bikes.
