"we live in dubai but we travel to chiang mai at least once a month as our children study in boarding school in chiang mai. we stay in many many highend places in chiang mai which were really nice and pricey. after we found "lotus pang suan kaew chiang mai" and stay here, it's just right about the location, safety, service and the hotel offer all guests free pick up from chiang mai airport too! we went back ther more than 7 times already since march 2011 and we booked the rooms with "agoda.com" only because so far this website is the best price and the best promotion (free room upgrade) compared to the others. i can pay 3 rooms per night as equal price as one night only @ the hotels i stay in chiang mai before. our family from uk also love this place, it's look gorgeous when you take pictures. "...because the architecture, the location, the staff, are so great and my stay was so relaxing. So I will be a bit harsh on the the two points where I think this hotel fails very badly and, if amended, would make it really perfect: As pointed by many others, the morning breakfast is really poor. On the first day I picked Thai Breakfast, and it was the worst Thai food I ever had in Thailand. You expect to feel the fragrance of fresh Thai herbs in food you eat in Chiang Mai: in this breakfast, it seems they only put salt - and a lot of it. Even the soup was salty. Besides, the coffee was watery and grainy. It's hard to accept that a coffee at a classy restaurant is far worse than the one you can get at home with an Espresso machine - even harder in Chiang Mai, one of the coffee capitals of Asia. Another point that can be easily improved is the quality of the toiletry: in the land of Home Spa that gave birth to great brands such as Hard or Thann, an hotel should do much more than just offering average motel-like shower gel and shampoo. It wouldn't take much to sign a deal with a Home Spa shop in town and to have their products. I repeat: I was totally overwhelmed by the full experience at this hotel - so much that I have just tried to book a room for my next stay - that is the only reason why I wanted to point out two easy-to-solve problems even at risk of being a bit harsh. Thank you again for the great stay! "

"Stay with Nimman was the best hotel we stayed at throughout our travels around Thailand. The price was amazing for such a great quality place. Everything in our room, from the sheets to the bathroom, was spotless. And free minibar and waters? Yes! It is a bit of a walk to old town, but it is easy to take one of those red trucks. Also, there is a lot to do around Stay with Nimman as it is a more modern growing location. A must try in Chiang Mai is khao soi noodles!"

We have had the best Thai massage here during our 4 months traveling Thailand. Breakfast is freshly served every day and includes everything you need to get a good start of the day. Everything is very clean and well maintained. When we come back to Chiang Mai we will definitely stay here again."

"I have stayed at many hotels in Chiang Mai on business trips. This one was by far the best in the downtown area near the Night Bazaar. For me, location is very important in Chiang Mai. This is the best hotel in the location if you want luxury at a good value. The food here was very good also. This was our first time taking young children with us to Chiang Mai. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the children who were ages 1 and 3. We will definitely come back to the Centara. We love Chiang Mai."

"This hotel is amazing, being in the old city it is close to everything but it’s location on a side street (soi) makes it a very calm hotel. It was very clean and the extra 4$ (CAD) per night for the breakfast on Agoda was well worth the upgrade as it is 150TBH per person at the hotel. I recommend this hotel to everyone who wishes to have a pleasant and relaxig stay in Chiang Mai while being 5 minutes away from the Sunday Market, 7-11’s and multiple temples!"

"I stayed at De Chai the deco for 3 nights. I have to say that this is the best De Chai compared to the other De Chai hotels in Chiang Mai that I have stayed in. The staff speaks very good english and are always providing advice on where to go, and how much the fares should be. When we bought some apples from the open air market and tried to borrow a bread knife from the kitchen at De Chai, the staff offered to slice them up for us. 15 minutes later, the staff came to our room with a beautiful place of nicely sliced apples. This is what differentiate De Chai the Deco hotel from all the other Chiang Mai hotels we have previously stayed in. The attention to the little details. "

"I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone I know that is planning on staying in Chiang Mai! The staff goes above and beyond excellent customer service. We especially appreciated Kao as our server every morning, afternoon, and evening he would greet us with the biggest smile. I had needed feminine products and could not find them anywhere, and Kao went out of his way to go to the store and get them for me. He didn't have to do that, but he did & any female knows that's going out of his way! Our rooms were always well kept, and is beyond spacious. The services they provide are done in excellence at all times. The grounds are serene, as the name describes the place. The only thing that I could say that needs improvement would be the water pressure in the large jacuzzi tub needs to be fixed. We couldn't use it because it would've taken hours to fill it up. Other than that I would stay here over and over again when I am in Chiang Mai on my next travels. Thank you so much to all of the staff at Bodhi Serene Hotel in Chiang Mai."
