enjoyed my visit immensely. i travel extensively in southern china and this hotel is the perfect break from high rise style accomm. it has a very relaxing holiday feel about it whcih is great after a long business day. western and chinese food options are great, good wine list, great rooms. it is on a must revisit list.

i would certainly recommend the pullman dongguan forum hotel in dongguan. while a bit pricier that other hotels in dongguan, the service there surpasses most of the other hotels in the area. great food, gym and the spas are amazing. the hotel is centrally located in the dongcheng area of dongguan city and it's only a 10-15 taxi ride (depending on traffic conditions) ...

I was pleasently surprised. It was my first visit to china and didn;t know what i was to expect. the hotel taff is very accomodating to your needs. The hotel staff is very pleaseant to work with. The resturant has choices for westerners but could have more, that would be nice. It was great that the window in my smoking room actaully opens. I spent a week here and...

yhis was my first time in the sofitel dongguan humen oriental hotel. it is the largest building in this part of the town and has a very beutifull view at the top level restaurant and bar ( 62th floor). this was the biggest room i ever had, looks like a little appartment with seperate toilet , seperate (rain)shower, separate bath tube with tv, big bed , sofa etc. whi...

Second time to this hotel in 12 months. This hotel doesn't disappoint. Standards of service are high, and if you are new to the town, it's very easy to arrange for safe transport. Standard of spoken English armongst the service staff is above average, so I was never misunderstood or misinterpreted. Staff are very warm, ready to help, yet very professional. Facilities a...

The hotel's stay was the last stop of my Shenzhen and Dongguan trip where I stayed at 4 hotels in a week. Hui Hua Garden hotel is new, clean and has features comparable to most international chains. It is located slightly out of the town centre, but there are some local restaurants (including a Teochew porridge stall), shops and a shopping mall within a 10 minute walki...

This hotel was at the centre of a small town, within walking distance you would be in the middle of all infrastructures and needs required as a traveller. Even within the hotel premises you will find most of the facilities expected from a quality hotel. Moreover, the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Very good, my second stay and I have already booked a third. The parking is excellent and location fine for business. The breakfast is as good as it gets bordering on 5 star. The staff are mostly a bit "flaky" but that's just China - they are all like that. The bar is the best kept secret to this place but watch out for the recycled peanut "bar snacks"....

Kande Club Hotel is located in a main street in Houjie Town in Dongguan. The hotel is a quiet business hotel with very few facilities. It does have a sauna though but only for men. So if you have your wife with you, she won't be able to use it as the local men are walking around naked. The bar in the hotel has three bottles on display and is primitive and so is the res...

last week was the 4th time i stayed in this hotel in the last two months. i booked through the hotel direct, but after receiving an online response that the hotel will contact me, they did not. so i booked through agoda. although the rate (without breakfast was worse than the hotel rate which includes breakfast, at least i had a psitive response from agoda. when i chec...

I came with my family with older kids and a set of parents. We had 3 rooms next to each other facing the lake, it was beautiful. The room is huge and everything was clean and nice. Obviously one would not go to DongGuan unless they were there to visit a factory. If you have the unfortunate luck to be in DongGuan then the Regal Palace is an oasis in an area of run down factories and depressed residential areas. I paid around $80 a night an for this price the hotel delivers awesome value. The rooms are big, and comfortable, and the breakfast b...

We have stayed at the Sofitel Dongguan for weekend getaways before. The pool and hotel are very luxurious. The rooms are extremely comfortable with huge beds. The shower and bad tub are also very nice. The price is very reasonable for this hotel.

this was our first hotel stay in china. we came in by shuttle bus from hongkong airport. took 2 1/2 hours to reach fenggang. were dropped off at hotel lobby. understand that you can take the same shuttle bus back to hkia. the location of the hotel is center of town, with restaurants, shops, fast food, mall all close by. very convenient. 5 star by chinese hotel ...

It was a pleasant and comfortable stay here at Grand Mercure Dongguan Shijie. There is supermarket and stores around just near the hotel itself. Buffet for breakfast had an acceptable variety but they will need more staffs to acc...

This is a weirdly paradisaical hotel in Dongguan. Its located in a park, on a lake. Its 5 stories tall and gigantic, so prepare for a long walk to your room. Definitely not a 5 star hotel. Compared to a western chain, maybe 3.5 at best. But still the best option for business travelers in that area of Dongguan. Pros Rooms are spacious and in good condition. Quiet rooms. Cons English is very limited amongst the staff. No non-smoking rooms. Or at least they didn't understand me when I asked for a non smoking room. Bitten my...

7 Days are always a good choice for budget travelers wanting a relatively nice room in a popular area of the city. It is a short walk from Kande International Hotel which serves as one of CTS bus stops for inter-city travel. Very close to the subway Line 2 Hongde Road. Room is clean enough like all 7 Days -- bed is nice, maybe some dirty on the ground from last gues...

Great place, clean, welcoming helpful staff. Huge marketplace and stores of all kind. Small family local food. Coffee shop .just next door. if you need there are beverages and other things to buy if you need. Close to the train station. Chose to stay 3 nights and enjoyed every minuet.

some of hotel staff is able to communicate in english and are very friendly. i had a late check in and the process was smooth. rooms are adequate with all ammenities in working condition. internet is available only through lan (no wifi). there were some issues with internet connectivity which got resolved after a couple of phone calls to the reception. the best par...

The hotel is part of a nationwide chain and located very conveniently in the heart of Humen´s fashion district. All the malls and small shops are a good 5 minutes walk away. It´s reasonably equipped and clean, staff was friendly but only one guy speaks some English. Biggest disappointment was the bit erratic WiFi, that worked only 95% of the time. They have a dozen net...

City Inn is located at a very convenient location which makes things works smoothly. Though is not a five star hotel but their services are good enough. The cleaners are friendly as well and they keep our room clean too. What's more, there is a Mac Donald's right outside the hotel and is really very convenient and very value for money.

i stayed in number of different budget hotels in china including the local chain hotels. as the reputation of ibis hotel presents, the quality of the hotel met my reputation. it was nice to stay and the room was very large. unlike other hotels in dongguan, there were many foreigners there which tells that the hotel is quite popular among them as well. the only bad t...

When we arrived tired after long journey, we were told that our bookings was not listed and they had no more rooms for us that day, despite our showing the confirmation form !!. After lengthy arguments somehow they managed to find us a room. Our stay was short but was enjoyable as there were many stores behind the Hotel to explore. Overall was ok except for the scar...

now this was an interesting experience, Imagine a hotel in between factories, it is rated 2 star but lucky to even have that. the snack bar they so keenly advertise is a vending machine, the staff cannot speak english, and the street outside was bare. Surprisingly the room itslef was clean and very nice but the smells in the hallways were a little on the nose.

MY 3 DAYS STAY IN THIS HOTEL WAS ENJOYABLE AND VERY RELAXING, SPENDING MOST OF MY TIME IN SHOPPING AROUND AND A LITTLE SIGHTSEEING. ITS LOCATION IS GOOD AND THE HOTEL DO PROVIDE TRANSPORT TO SOME PART OF THE CITY, THAT IS ONE OF THE SPECIAL PRIVILEGE GIVEN TO TEH GUESS STAYING IN. HOWEVER, I WILL LIKE TO CHECK INTO THIS SAME HOTEL AGAIN ON MY NEXT VISIT TO DONGGUAN. ...

It's newly built, rooms are clean and with new items, though we can find damaged door lock and strong dmell of mold in fridge... City view and the apartment is actually nice and spacious enough for our family of 4ppl. There is Starbucks (good news for Starbucks fans) and karaoke booths downstairs, plus different foods around, making a pleasant location to stay in Chang...

This hotel located not far from the Dongguan (Changping) train station is fine enough for the traveling business person. As other reviews have indicated, there is a Building A and Building B. Having read that Building B was better, I booked the slightly more expensive Building B. The rooms were large and quite acceptable. Clean. Bed was not hard as the floor like many ...

This is my forth time staying in this hotel. The main reason for keep coming back is mainly for 2 reasons. The price and the location. Consider reasonable price for the kind of room and services. There are lots of places to eat nearby. Hence, foods has never be a problem here. 2 incidents I wasn't too happy during this time. I had tried eating breakfast twice in this h...

It was the second time I had stayed in Ginza. it's still good but as one day the lump in the bathroom fell down- i wasn't there- crashed, the staff repaired immediately but it's still kinda dangerous. Over all it's still ok but seems not as clean as last year when I stayed.

I only had the buffet breakfast here, which was ok. Friendly staff, some of whom can speak English. Nice big room - quite cheap for the size. Although maybe not the best of locations, number 17 or C1 bus takes you to the shopping area and the Nancheng Bus station.

This hotel is grand but needs a good clean and freshen up. The beds were comfortable but the décor is tired. The food was average and the location is only ok. Had a massage at the spa and it was quite good with out the fuss over payments you often in China hotels. I would use this hotel again if I was in the area.

I can't really fault the star bits in the review, however, when you go down to breakfast (twice) and most stuff is finished (including plates, bowls, glasses) it puts a downer on it. I was told the rooms were small, but they were fine, clean and the shower was good. Wifi good although I did need to change the room due to smoking room (this would normally be fine but ...

I can say when it comes to comfort the room is pretty nice! However, we encountered some problems communicating with the Staff. If they are a 5-star Hotel they should have put Staffs who can communicate well with their foreign visitors especially using the English language! We were asking the Receptionist some questions and they couldn't understand what we were saying!...

well, the hotel has seen its better days but still clean and nice. only one elevator. one comment, i asked for the wineopener.. someone came to the room within 2 minutes with an opener and refused to accept tip.very good fire exit marking all around the corridor. did not check out the bar and spa but guess its average. very friendly staff, surprisingly quick check inn,...

1. At first the receptionist refused the hotel voucher saying that they were not informed and not aware but waited quite a while before they accepted the voucher. Disappointed that the hotel does not arrange for airport transfer. Even to hire a taxi the hotel cannot provide such service. If that is the case they should not commit that whether transfer is required under...

noisy though as my room was next to the elevator and had noisy neighbors. Maintenance staff was good. Location was ok but availability of taxis in Changping is now almost down by 90% - so you have to hunt down a taxi or find a driver (non taxi) to help get around the city. Better to stay near downtown - but cannot beat this room rent.

Reasonable price with such good hotel, highly recommend to my friends. The staffs gave fully support from my requests during my visit that made me so amazing. I wonder it could be even better than some 5 stars hotels. I'm planning to stay to this hotel again near future with my friends and family.

this hotel is very close to the dongguan railway station (15 minutes to walk, 5 minutes by taxi). we booked 2 rooms. 1 with windows and another without. both rooms are nicely decorated and in very new condition. this hotel seems to cater to people from hong kong. the lobby plays hk music and the room tv has hk jade channel. the pools are cleaned and chemically ch...

the q hotel is held in the trend of those in taiwan which make taiwanese travelers feel like home. besides, this is my first time to live in a hotel serving not only wifi but also breakfast with variety and taste. also, q hotel is located in a simply and quiet area. it's really worthy to stay there.

breakfast is not good. It was a simple and nice hotel if you are not able to book the bigger hotels of your choice. The concierge staff was very helpful and offer their limou service to us to bring us over to the town area even we did not ask for it. And it is free!

In a month of staying at several hotels in China, Hotel Silverland was the best deal by a country mile. If you need to do business in Dongguan, stay at Hotel Silverland and you will be a happy traveller. The rate is very reasonable, the service is outstanding, the breakfasts good and the rooms very comfortable and clean. In Dongguan, where most of your business will be...

I stayed there because I had to visit a factory in the area. It is probably the only decent hotel in Humen. But overall, the hotel is quiet, clean; the breakfast buffet is not the best I've had, but not the worst either. I would recommend this hotel to people attending a business specifically in Humen, or who expect a very quiet night. Otherwise, better stay in Shenzhe...

I felt very leisurely and at holiday mood staying in this hotel, the staff were very responsive and helpful. You would virtually find everything you need at a 5-star hotel. The only inconvenience was the location, which was situated on half mountain top, which was at the same time, however also its merit. So, it was fair to say its merit and demerit were both its remot...

Have returned not for the 1st time, and will return again and again! One of the best hotels in Dongguan, second only to Eurasia, but personally, i think Eurasia is over hyped. Though the location of both hotels are not centrally located, Eurasia is really too far from anything else! Thus i rate this hotel as the best! There is also a new hotel called Huimeitianlun, but...

Not sure how to rate this hotel but wouldn't stay here again. The location will require you to have a driver or a car. The hotel is huge and the room was clean. The breakfast was decent and they did have an expresso machine. I did try the oil massage on the 6th floor 398rmb which was nice. Overall its ok but not 5 star quality. Wouldn't recommend this hotel as there a...

We had a very nice time in the hotel. The main hall is quite impressive and very clean. Our room was incredibly big, could have been cosier, but everything you needed was there. The bath was pretty small, but the shower was very nice. In the hotel you can enjoy 3 restaurants: Japanese, Chinese and Western/Chinese. The Japanese restaurant has great teppanyaki tables and...
Traveler impressions of Dongguan
DG is a big city with 2 train stations - one dongtie and one gaotie It is almost the central of Guangdong Province and travelling to SZ or Guangzhou will not pose difficult for visitors/ foreigners
The room size is good, well decorated and the bathroom had both a bath and a large walk in shower. The lobby bar and waiting area was relazing.
It used to be the mistress township which has transform into a nightlife town however it a matter of chicken & egg.
actually there arent many places for sightseeing, it is overall good to relax a day or two with massage, bars and KTVs.
Dongguan is fast growing town in the last 20 years. Good side is economic but down side is air/water pollution.
Whatever happens in Dongguan, stays in Dongguan. Bargain for everything and never let anyone take advantage of you.
Spa here is quite professional but with a very reasonable price. So highly recommended. Others are just so-so
Dong Guan is full of hotels and restaurant, either for personal or business travel to this city is no problem.
a place for business and leisure. not too safe overall as compared to guangzhou. taxi driver refuses to go by meter.
dong guan we all know is a place for night life. local food and enjoy the massage spa. its good to go for a few days and have some fun.
Dongguan City is a city of in-official 12,000,000 people. Its huge. Distances are incredible big. The city is planed well with several new districts which have nice streets, parks, shopping centers and night life areas.
Manufacturing hub of southern China. Lot of great deal if you fish around. Travel around is very easy with reasonable taxi fare and high speed train connecting other major city.
The traffic in the morning is horrible. Avoid taking taxi in the rush hour (8~10). Night life here is great with many night clubs and disco pub.
I do not have good impression about Dongguang as the city do not seems to be safe so I only go out with local company.
had no time to enjoy facilities as I heard everything is now very expensive. The nightclubs were charging way too much and getting very greedy.
do your own research before get into this city. dun ever depend or listen to the taxi drivers. A restaurant located at the street behind Hui Hua Hotel is famous for BBQ oysters and other seafood such as clam, shell and etc.
CP is the region nearest to the train station from HK Going to Humen town will need about 1hr by car/ taxi
Dong Guan is a very big city and so many diff area but every area has there special food, very good. Foot massage very good and cheap compared with Shenzhen!
Dong Guan is party city. From Night clubs to Spas, it is all about relaxation, especially for the guys.
Excellent for shopping. Hotel rates are reasonable. Police's presence gives a sense of security. Need more English signages.
Guangzhou is a good place for buyers to come and there are lots of nice places to eat just enjoy your work here and eat lots of nice food
Places of friendly people, convenience of travel. High and modern building. Others, to be share only later as I have only limited time outside working hours.
A lot of people, a prosperous city, have to be very careful to prevent from being con by the local there.
Dongguan is a city which is full of nightlife. From night club to massage palour, u can get all of them easily here.
I am here due to the well-know exhibition held in Dongguan. They need to enhance the urban quality & safety standard.
This is a city full of nightlife & some scenic attraction too. Nightlife in places like Chang Ping, Chang An etc just to name a few will get you going.
I've really only spent time in Humen Town (part of Dong Guan City). Humen is probably not the most glamorous tourist spot but is wonderful for one, like me, wanting to 'escape from the world' and have a very comfortable, relaxing time in a magnificent hotel which is like a home away from home.
It is conveninet go travel from Hong Kong. You can take a coach fromn Shenzhen or some specific locations in HK, scuh as Mongkok and Shatin.

The staff was great when we checked in, even had someone to show us exactly how to get to my room. Believed me, the facility is big, the staff was definitely helped. She gave me some ti...
