Traveler impressions of Durban
I am a Cape Tonian & currently staying in Gauteng, i must admit for the short periods of time i have been in Durban, i considered relocating there.
Historical buildings are not well kept, the hotels and apartments around South beach all look dilapidated.
Durban is good for all ages and cultures. There are a lot of places to go or just to relax at the beach.
City with beautiful beaches, but centre of town is a mess and very dangerous with lots op young children just wlking around and doimg nothing.
Easy to get around without own transport - easy walking distance to all beachfront activities, uShaka World, restaurants, Moses Mabida stadium, etc.
Good attractions - Ushaka Marine World, Mangrove swamps. nice malls for shoppers. City centre very busy and bustling, though museum and art gallery in city centre worth a visit
OVERALL, DURBAN HAS FANTASTIC WEATHER AND A BEAUTIFUL BEACH LIFE. JUST AN ENERGY ABOUT IT WHEN IT COMES TO THE BEACH.
Durban is disgusting and dirty thic city has nothing on Cape Town the Anc should take tips from the DA how to run a city
this city has something for everyone no matter what age, religion, race, social standing - its probably the most underrated city in south Africa.
Visit Ushaka Marine world when in Durban. Beaches are lovely with hot Indian Ocean water and free from sharks and other dangerous marine creatures.
we truly loved the city, its clean at the north & south beach and most of the areas. Down town seems to be a bit unsafe, but we never had any problems.
the city is a nice travellers destination. every good beaches and nice places to see. funny city. but city needs to step up their game when it comes to house keeping.
THIS IS THE CITY TO PARTY. The people are friendly, fun, crazy, inviting. All they want to do is have a good time and dance.
A place with a great deal of variety outside and inside activities sport sightseeing entertainment and relaxing great food fantastic beaches and great views.
CITY IS GOOD FOR BUSINESS PEOPLE, LOTS OF INDEPENDENT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, BEAUTIFUL BEACHES AND RESTAURANTS, PUBS AND FUN ACTIVITES
Ricsha Bus Tour and Ushaka Marine a must do. As well as Moses Mabida Stadium and the sky car.. beautiful and clean beaches.
Lovely place to visit with great weather and lovely entertainment. Sports is available and sight seeing places are also available.
Easily accessible by car not far like Cape Town. The weather is also nice and warm. There is lot of fun for the whole family.
If I have to relocate and I m ask to choose the city, it will definitely be Durban. I t has the second biggest mall in SA.
You need to have transport to move around Durban for all the site seeing. There is a lot to see and to do.
A cosmopolitan city with a diverse ethnic and cultural background, converging into a unique lifestyle.
The best place in the world to go for a morning stroll, cycle or jog. A golden mile to showcase to the world.
ITS FABULOUS! THE BEACHES ARE CLEAN WITH AMPLE PARKING SPACE, THE HARBOUR AND CRUISES, THERE IS LOTS OF SOPHISICATED NIGHTLIFE ACITIVY, LOTS OF MALLS AND SHOPS FOR SHOPPING.
If you like the holiday atmosphere of lots of people around enjoying themselves, then Durban is the place.
Durban city has a lot to offer. The beaches are very close to the city. The people of Durban are friendly and always willing to assist visitors of the great city.
Best for families with small children; great marine park, good beachside promenade, great beach (good for paddling or for surfing but not good for swimming.
Travel light and shop till you drop. Fairly good prices. Ushaka marine world and the Moses Mahbida stadium are places to visit.
There is a wide variety of activities for families on the beach front although the rest of Durban appeared dirty and crowded.
Durban is a very attractive city with the best weather during Winter. The tourist attractions are wonderful and the harbour with the boat rides is something special.
It is a great city, with lots of attractions, nice clean beaches and the Gateway is excellent for shopping.
