This place will not fail to impress you. There owners are fantastic but more about them later. we stayed here for 2 nights on our travels around Sri Lanka. It provided us with the well needed relaxation and calm. This place has a real sense exclusivity. Although positioned slightly out of Bentota and away from your choice of restaurants, here are the reasons you can't afford to miss out! of you are a couple, single traveller, group of guys or girls - the owners have your back. not only are they fantastic hosts that are present when needed but they are your safe guard in a place where many are out for themselves. We were always against the smaller B&B/ home stay style accommodation but from the stay The Blue Mangrove was our home for us to relax in. The view....oh wow the view. From your own room you can see water monitors coming out of the lake just in front, a huge selection of birds and fireflies lighting the night sky of an evening. For couples this place offers a romantic setting with a choice of a couple restaurants next door and for groups and great shared lounge in front of the pool and beach parties near by at Bentota beach for the party goers. Bentota beach is a huge stretch of sand and great for a swim and sunbathe. so to summarise, Blue Mangrove Villa will be your beautiful place of tranquillity amongst the hustle and bustle of Sri Lanka along with very kind and genuine hosts that are not only the nicest locals we met but some of the most decent people we've encountered.
