Best hotels & accommodations in Fukushima

Staffs were hospitality welcoming us. checkin and checkout were smooth. Room was clean with standard japanese room space. breakfast selection was superb; however, the queue management was not so pleasure. onsen was great. overall, we recommend the hotel if you plan to stop by Fukushima! Tip: we rent bike nearby the hotel to Fukushima Inari Shrine too.

I wouldn’t recommend booking this place without a car, or extra money to spend on a taxi. The closest bus stop is decently far, and connections to Fukushima station are few and far between, not to mention it’s not much cheaper than calling a taxi to the hotel. The room was pristine, and the staff were glad to clean up for us. We were easily accommodated as three with t...

It just outside JR Fukushima Station. The only thing I hate, I was there during the summer festival and the only room left was smoking room.. the cigarette odour was so strong , enough to make me having difficulty in breathing. I bought mask, perfume, room fragrance etc from the nearby store. It helped me to sleep. FYI, I'm alergic to cigarette smoke. It is not the ho...

The staff is very helpful and friendly, but a bit hard for non Japanese spoken because the staff only talk in Japanese. But thankfully they can use the Google translate to talk with us. The room is soo amazing, with very nice view we got the window view for the garden. The room is in Japanese style and looks very nice. This hotel have soo many onsen room, with 3 avail...

The room is big and exceeded my expectations. The staff are very nice and they provide extra help whenever we inquire about something. It is near Fukushima station that we only need to get a bus to go to Hanamiyama. Near restaurants and convenient stores. Would like to stay here again if I plan to visit Fukushima or near places. Recommended for other travelers.

Hotel right next ot the train station, insulation is good so you can not hear the train noise. There are lot of restaurant near by. The room is clean but a little small for two. Breakfast is ok not great, however the restaurant in the hotel may operated by others.

The quality and standards of the room was the same as I had stayed there before but the staff really made it such a welcoming stay. It was like coming back home. Friendly, ever willing to help and recommend. Superb!!!!! I only wish I could come back more offen. Keep it up guys and Thank You!!!!!

Located just within a 5 minute walk from the Fukushima Shinkansen, this hotel has the added benefit of being close to 2 major malls for the avid shopper. Facilities were basic, but adequate. My only slight gripe was that the air conditioner couldn't go below 18 degrees, given that the temperature during my stay was on average 12 degrees, the room felt slightly stuffy. ...

We stayed at the Richmond Hotel Fukushima Ekimae for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay tremendously. Our room was spacious and we appreciated the amenities like free bottled water and the self-service laundry room. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Fukushima City area.

We took a private room with an open air bath and is was incredible. Staff is friendly and the breakfast is amazing. The hotel is at the edge of town which gives it beautiful scenery but puts you far from the town center. If you don't have a car the hotel offers a shuttle bus.

We stayed for 2 nights at Ryokan New Ougiya and for our entire 2 week trip, and it was the most comfortable 2 nights we had. It took us about 30 minutes drive to get there from Fukushima station so it is quite conveniently close by. The first night we arrived quite late, and despite having advised us in advanced that there would be no eateries open by then, the chef ...

More about Fukushima
From Fukushima Airport, it’s easy to take a train directly into the city center, where there are several choices for accommodation. Getting around in Fukushima is best done either on foot or by taxi, and many of the city’s most popular attractions such as the parks and arts museums are easy to reach by short taxi rides from most hotels in the city center.
If visiting Fukushima during the spring, don’t miss a chance to see the beautiful cherry blossoms, either by just walking around the city or going to specific places like Miharutaki Cherry Blossoms Park or the more popular and therefore more crowded Hanamiyama Park.
Fukushima is also famous for its hot springs, of which there are over a hundred all within easy reach of the city center, including Izaka Hot Springs, which is just a short train ride from the city center.
