First of all, there is no City of Khaoyai, nor a town, nor even a village !! It is an area, and a large one at that, adjoining the less up-market Amphur of Pak Chong.
Good for people who wanna stay away from the town for a couple days :) but still got some good food and good facilities
It is much quiet as compared to Bangkok. Chance to appreciate nature and move away from electronic gadgets.
KY is a very relaxing place to visit. I recommended Primo Piazza to be visit in the morning , can have tones of photos taken in there, must try visit the grape farms (vineyard) nearby if there's time.
A place to recommend to friends. Feeling peaceful, natural environment and nice place for photo shooting , side seeing and relaxing.
We went to the cave template it was a nice place to visit. All the food at various restaurants were good.
We when to visit sun flower but we have to paid for ticket , we travel with 3 years old kid and have to pay ticket for kid too it's unfair
Sadly, Khao Yai has become an upmarket get away for HiSo Thais. Have been many times but each time I go I find that access to areas has become more difficult because of new developments, motels, golf course etc.
The "city" is very small and most people go there for the National Park... so there isn't much to do.
Love this place, it is better to travel to this area during Thailand Winter time to enjoy the scenario.
Beautiful scenery of forests and mountains. Enjoyed the winery and vineyard tour but the quality of the wine was uninspiring.
KHAO YAI is a very very famous place for a weekend get away! Many Locals love going there! Some go for rest, Some go for Food, Some go for activity.
Need a car to come around. Golf and Mountainbike, trekking in the National park. No city life at all, most resorts and restaurants are based on local Thai tourism.
Khao Yai is the best place to be if you want some peace & quiet. The scenery is so beautiful & lush that for a moment you forget that you are only a few hours away from busy Bangkok!!
Its a nice place with mountains. People are friendly and helpful. If you want to rent a scooter, it is easily available outside of the entrance of Khao Yai park.
If you take your own car, be careful on the gasoline. because there is lake of gasoline station around this area
Its in the mountains, surrounding by nature and fresh mountain breeze. there are lots of places that you can visit and take photos, and wild life are to be seen in this area also.
the city is not very far from Bangkok. There is some artificial attractive place to make you some enjoy and sight-seeing.
It is a good place to visit during the winter in Thailand. Cool breeze and fresh air are all around.
Khao Yai is located in Nakhon Ratchasima, the largest province in Thailand. Khao Yai National Park is fairly large (300 km2) and hotels in the surrounding area are spread out.
Perfect place to rest your body and mind if you want to feel like you are in Toscana or Old English country home or Provance in France.
Perfect place to be with yourself, hideaway from city life but still having convenience support your stay, you can plan for various activities, adventure in national park, romance with your couple, relax surrounding with forest atmosphere, and chilling with sight seeing and eating!
If you like moutain and thinking of 1-2 nights getaway from Bangkok.Khaoyai may be one of your destination.
Wanna get out of Bangkok ? Rebound with the nature ? Go to Khao Yai ! A lot of differents outdoor activities, book a Hotel Resort/Spa there and discover another face of Thailand.
Go to National Park, Palio, PB Valley wineyard, some restaurants like Castle Restaurant and Primo Piazza
2 hour drive from bangkok - if you have a few days come and stay in mti maya - you would not be disappointed - however do not order japanese food at the hotel
Khaoyai's main attraction is the National park which is a Natural World Heritage Site so this says it all about it.
Khaoyai has great view. There are many hotels to choose from. They are all locals hotels so, please don't expect a 5 star service hotel in the area.
Very beautiful and peaceful vacation spot in the middle of the natural resort and the mountain view is stunning.
There is no city of Khao Yai. Just outside of the North entrance to Khao Yai National Park is Pat Chiong Districk.
