Superb. So quiet after the bustle and noise of Kandy. A special place, worthy of its conservation status. Exploring the hills around and seeing the remains of coffee, pine, cardamom and tea plantations was fascinating, as was the village walk across rise paddies and past huts with carefully kept yards and vegetable gardens. You can come here and do nothing, or do lots....

The manager, Hector, has a long experience in hotels and cruises. In 2011 he opened this 4-room small hotel after renovating a old house given by his brother. He likes guests to feel at home and enjoy quietness, natural surroundings and mountain view. Dropping off the main road, after 5 minutes drive, the hotel is isolatedly located on a hillside and is overlooking vil...

Kudaoya Villa is a place to rest. (No wifi). Just endjoy the nature. It is not hot at the Kudaoya Villa, somethimes in the morning it is misty. The rooms are big, clean and a nice (and clean) bathroom. We have reserved the luxe hotelroom with the living/television room. The staff is very friendly, helpfull and they cooked everthing what we liked. Kudaoya Villa is n...

We had a very pleasant stay, staff made every effort to make us at home including a tour around the premises. The rooms were gigantic and very clean. Only negative point is the access road - very bad due to the heavy rains, definitely needs attention but did not spoil our stay in anyway !

Jayakumera & Priya (the Sri Lankan managers) made our stay at Strathisla Tea Estate an unforgettable one. Their personalised service, incredible Sri Lankan home cooking & wealth of knowledge of the area made us appreciate this place so much more. The rooms could certianly use an upgrade - we felt they were below our expectations for the price we were paying. The room w...

At first we can't find the hotel, because they change their name for THE PALACE HOTEL. They were lovely and helpful, but with poor english. For dinner was hard to choose, because they have nothing, but after choosing rice, they made it by our taste. There is no wi,fi after 10pm, when the hotel closes the doors and nobody stays at the reception.

In the middle of a 15acre spics garden, stands this adorable farm house. I have not been to a more cleaner, more organized hotel room than Zee's in my life. The amnities provided were over the roof. They had provided everything a traveller needs, from a microwave, tea/coffee making facilities, bath/shower products, extra towels, emergency medicine, crockey & cutlery, s...
