Nagarkot is a small village, the people are lovely, the amenities are good, the views are terrific. There is a wide choice of accommodation from one star to five star, there are lots of options for eating, some hotels have spa options if you so wish.
The area surrounding the village has various walking trails for all levels of fitness. A great place to visit.
Nagarkot is a great place for family or group picnic near the tower.Food is available locally as well.
Photography enthusiasts will go crazy here due to immense potential of Nature photography.A place not to be missed if you love to cuddle up under the mountains and over the valleys.Trekking/ Hiking downwards from here to nearby villages is the best experience for both kids, young and hearty.Locals will guide you the way very happily.Tea breaks in small tea shops along the hiking route is a relief too!
Nothing much to do here. Spend for one night only and then decide to stay for couple more nights after.
The view of Lantang ranges can be very dissapointing as the fog gets thicker during some months. You probably see nothing if you wake up early to enjoy the Lantang range.
A country area with fantastic views of the Himalyas and fresh air as well as possibility of short treks
There are not many activities besides walking/ hiking. In the city which is stretched along the road are several little shops to buy snackks and chilled soft drinks.
Nice view of the himalaya. Needs more infrastructure , good roads, good handicraft shops, street lights in town at night
Only good thing is can see the himalaya mountain. And of course the people there were very friendly.
The views on the view tower is so great. It takes about an hour to walk from the hotel to the view tower.
The tower was built in 1970s and located on the mountain.
The best mountain view of himalaya which is not far from Kathmandu, only an hour drive away. The weather is nice.
Once you debark the bus you are met with a quaint valley village, lined with stores selling fruit and snacks.
As you get closer to the hotel area you will find a few shops selling tourist items. There is one main road that connects everything and is a beautiful walk; past local children playing, the school, and intermittent views of the surrounding valleys. You feel right at home in Nagarkot.
On a clear day you can see the Amazing View of the Himalayas! Dont miss the sunrise or the sunset...
Most hotels are not in the village, which is located 20 minutes walk from most hotels. Hotels are mostly on a ridge with a view of the Himalayas
