Narooma has charter-boat access to Montague Island, which is a conservation area. You can use Narooma as a base to go and visit other areas such as Mystery Bay and Bermagui to the south; the quaint and quiet National Trust-listed Central Tilba; and north to a town called Mogo, which has many shops and the Original Gold Rush Colony ($20 entry fee).
We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast, lunch and Saturday night dinner at the Quarterdeck Marina. The beaches are varied and safe for children.
Although it's hilly there are plenty of interesting places to walk. The beach and inlet areas are varied and offer plenty of fishing opportunities and water sport activities. It is an easy drive to other beautiful coastal spots.
Beautiful beaches. Countryside had similarities to Hawaii. Blue water and clean beaches. Saw whales and even a Sea Lion from the shore
