Find Hotels in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar

Good basic standard at very reasonable price for Myanmar. Be careful about availability of taxis as no public transportation and this hotel in hotel zone which is pretty far from Bus terminal from Yangoon while a little closer to train station but still remote due to the pecular layout of Nay Pyi Daw. Hotel manager could secure booking of taxi at reasonable price, although had to bargain and to ask hoim passing several before getting proper taxi. For information, I could move from Northern zone to Southern zone for, while most asked , which means about 25mn drive.

We spent two nights there, it’s a good budget option for Naypyidaw (which will be the most expensive portion of your trip in Myanmar, expect to pay more for everything) Pros - Nice breakfast buffet, water boiler in the room to avoid using plastic bottles, we could rent a scooter (4000k an hour, yes, it’s expensive yes), friendly staff. Helped arrange bus / taxi for onward travel. Cons - since the shower doesn’t have a way to air out the ceiling get moldy and smells strongly (rest of the shower is clean though). As excepted, the bathroom is outside the room, and it’s so bizarre. Location is really far from anything at all. (A few small shops and restaurants in walking distance to neighboring town). Overall, this place is the main budget option to stay in Nay Pyi Taw. Everything in Nay Pyi Taw is expensive, but accept that before coming here and you’ll enjoy your stay.

I stayed in New Ayer Yar Hotel for 5 nights. I like the size of the hotel room and its big (I got 2 Queen sized beds in the room with plenty of space left). The toilet is big and there are sufficient power points. The General Manager, Mr Aung Moe, is friendly and speak very good English. He is hard working and he is always around to greet and talk to guests at breakfast and at the hotel reception. The hotel has a mini market and a Spa for those that need to unwind after a tough day of meeting and conference. It would be good for one to bring along an international power adaptor-as hotel has only Australia/New Zealand mains sockets and 2 pin mains sockets The hotel is located near a main road and about 30 minutes from Nay Pyi Taw International Airport. The breakfast spread is good-fried rice, noodle, vegetable and some day even mohinger (Myanmar national dish-fish soup with rice noodle). The Myanmar coffee and tea are good. I therefore strongly recommend for staying at New Aye Yar Hotel

Empty hotel cuz of Nay Pyi Taw not the problem of hotel. Great staff, great breakfask. great pool just for me and my friend. even u order from hotel, its a little bit pricy but with good quanlity. we rent the semi motorbike for 10000 for 12 hours from the hotel. and didnt find any other motorbike rental shop. If u wanna book bus ticket from there. Be aware that the bus usually gonna stop on every small town and city. if u dont enjoy.the slow bus, better check with the staff if there is a direct and express bus. the funny thing is even though the bus is called express bus, but its still stop everywhere on the road. second, if u book the taxi service to the bus station, better make sure the staff totally understand this request.

The hotel is very nice and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They helped organize a bus ticket for me, and car rental service. The gym and the swimming pool is very nice and functional, although the swimming pool water looks very green and not completely clean. The hotel room smelled a bit like sigarettes even if it was a non-smoking room, otherwise very nice hotel. Would stay here again.

Our stay here was different to say the least. Naypidaw is an empty city, as was this hotel. When we arrived the place looked closed with nobody around and not even any power on, lights, A/C, nothing. However on check in we were told that there were no standard rooms available and we were upgraded. No complaints there! The room was huge, as was the bathroom and both were spotless. When we asked about food in the restaurant they turned on the lights especially for us, but only the few lights around our table, still no A/C. The menu was huge and not overpriced. In the morning we had a knock at the door to be told it was breakfast time. So we went to the restaurant to find a whole buffet on display. We were still the only guests in sight. The staff tried to help where they could but their English was poor and everything took a long time with many translation attempts. The hotel offer free motorbike rental to explore the city which is an interesting day! I would recommend a visit to Naypyidaw and this hotel will add to the experience.

I arrived and they told me the room is 30 USD, and I explained to them that I can book it on Agoda for 23 USD. Instead of just paying them the money for the room, they had me book it online while standing at the counter. The wifi was terrible, the staff doesnt speak English. I asked them if they can call me a motorbike taxi and they told me to walk to the main road and flag one down. Also the location was poor, but thats Naypytaw in general. Not worth staying in that city.

23-2-2016 we arrived and check in this hotel, reception desk staff told me ,they can not receive booking email from Agoda .We show the Vocher from Agoda ,staff help give to me booking room.Staff told me if hotel room is full they can not help me.Next day we check out for hotel,front desk staff told me they can not received booking email from Agoda can not check out and waiting for email.We are un happy for this problem .We are waiting after hotel Manager phone ring to front desk staff,he received booking email from Agoda but he forget send to reception ,we are check out for hotel.If holiday season hotel room are full we can not get thr room.We think hotel Manger is don't know how to management to hotel and guest .But hotel is big room,clean,breakfast is good and very friendly staff,next time we are fears booking to this hotel.

Good things: The staff were friendly and honest. The room was clean, large, and comfortable. The mountain top view is beautiful. Bad things: So the hotel looked about equal distant to the ministries zone as the other hotels in north and south Nay Pyi Taw on the map. But it is actually really far up the mountain. Even with a driver, I felt like the hotel was too far off. From the pictures on agoda, I thought all the rooms are in one big building, but they were actually built bungalow style. So all the rooms are spread out on the mountain. It was difficult to get to the lobby - you have to call the hotel golf cart to pick you up. All this would have been ok if you are a leisure traveler wanting to relax in a resort. But we were business travelers, so it was inconvenient. Who goes to Nay Pyi Taw for a relaxing vacation anyway? The thing that was unacceptable, though, was that there was no wifi in the room, even though it states clearly on agoda that in-room wifi is available. Being a business traveler, in-room wifi is really important especially when mobile internet is unreliable in Myanmar. We were told that wifi was only available in the lobby. It would not have been so bad if the lobby was downstairs, but as I said, the rooms were spread out on the mountain. Overall, the hotel is a nice one, but it is just not for business travelers. And it needs to fix its info on Agoda. No in-room wifi!

It is a decent resort with a nice swimming pool. There is a shopping mall walking distance from hotel which is very convenient thing in Nap Pyi Taw. Staff is helpful. Breakfast is very good. Just don't rely too much on their golf cart pick up (especially when you are at shopping mall) as sometimes it comes too early and a driver decide to leave, sometimes is too late. Apart of that no complaints.

Nay Pyi Taw may be the strangest city many people may visit, and its empty airport, streets and hotels may make you wonder whether there has been an alien abduction, but a clean hotel, with a beautiful garden setting with friendly helpful staff win thru. Ok, it's a bit of a way from the CBD and the airport, but everything in NPT is spread out. I would definitely use the Imperial Jade again, even in preference to the empty mausoleums parading as five star hotels elsewhere in the city!

The Director, Miss Moe, gave us a lift herself in the evening as we could not get a taxi. All hotels are in a hotel zone and it's best to get a motorbike taxi. Miss Moe and her staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. There were very few guests so we were treated extremely well. The WIFI connection was outstanding in terms of being in Myanmar. The bedroom was very good and it had a large shower room and sitting area.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was at my own private residence. Entire staff had smiles on their faces and were happy to answer any questions, assist in any planning, and really made this stay memorable even if it was for business trip. Great breakfast with a really friendly staff who aims to please you the moment you walk in. The restaurant staff manager is super friendly and kind, and has trained his staff to be very attentive and considerate of their guest'a needs. I never had to ask twice for anything! I felt like it was my own private staff. The cleaning service people are very nice and always kept my room in prime condition and were always attentive to my space and my belongings. Even the bellboys had constantly asked me if they can help in any way. The front desk girls were all very pleasant and were well versed in English which is not so easy to find anywhere in Myanmar. They also kept the number to my driver/taxi who speaks English and super nice-his name is Naung. It was truly a pleasure to constantly tip this staff because they were very worthy of of it. this hotel is perfectly located in the lush greens of the city of nay pyi taw. i have never experience such a beautiful landscape and sights around than here. the hotel is very clean and it is a great place to do any kind of business you can think of. the taxi drivers are cheaper than in other cities of the country and will drive you to the other end of the city for just a few bucks. the breakfast is delicious.

I had to pick this hotel because there wasn't any other available on Agoda at the time I booked. When I arrived in Nay Pyi Taw I discovered I could have find a room in a more centrally located area of town, but I had already paid and so I went to my room. As I saw the room I was quite happily surprised to see how big it was, but then my joy got immediately broken by the cold shower, the hot water wasn't working and even though I complained with the manager several times, nothing was done through out the 3 nights and 4 days I stayed there. The staff was incredibly bad skilled, from the manager to the porter, it seemed nobody really cared to give service to their customers. Only few of them were speaking a decent english. I used the room service twice, as I had to continue working in my room after some business meeting I had in town and both of the times the food arrived after 45 minutes of waiting (I didn't order something sophisticated, just a fried rice). Internet wasn't working all the time and when it worked it was really really slow. The manager even lied about it, saying other hotels of the area had the same issue, I discovered by a colleague who was staying in the next by hotel that this wasn't true. Last but not least, on the last breakfast I got a waiter laughing at me for non explained reasons and when I complained about this I was asked to please apologize him. And, just to add on it, the food was really bad, fat and oily, done with no care and served with no manners. I wish nobody books a room to this hotel, it s really a very negative experience.

While there's precious little to interest a tourist in Nay Pyi Taw apart from the surreal vastness and near-total emptiness of Myanmar's purpose-built capital itself, those visiting the city could scarcely do better than the Tungapuri Hotel. Situated - like nearly all other accommodation options in NPT - in the aptly named "hotel zone," the Tungapuri is a taxi ride away from any real sights but is right next door to an excellent restaurant (Tai Kitchen) and within walking distance of several small showpiece shopping malls. Since NPT has no actual city center, this almost qualifies the area around the hotel as lively. Despite having limited or no English skills for the most part, the Tungapuri's staff are an absolute dream. I arrived at 5:30 am on the first day of my booking, and was told that the room I'd booked was still occupied but that I could have another in the same class immediately. I proceeded to shower, make coffee and take a nap in said room, but as I'd booked a room with a bathtub I was rather disappointed that it didn't have one. When I mentioned this to the staff later in the morning, I was told that my original room did indeed have a tub and that I could move there at noon, which is the hotel's actual check-in time. So I basically got a free six-hour stay in another room with no hassle whatsoever. The staff were similarly helpful with directions, taxi bookings and rates and everything else I needed. Breakfast, a grand spread of both Asian and Western fare, was a treat indeed as well. In short, if you have no reason whatsoever to visit Nay Pyi Taw, staying at the Tungapuri just might be one in itself.

I was astonished at the layout of the entire hotel. I did not expect it to be a hotel of bungalows (intead was expecting a high-rise). There's not very much to be done in Nay Pyi Taw as far as touristy activities but I expect this will change given the lead up to the SEA Games tthis year and the marvellouis scale of building in the neww Capital. The hotel is close (5 mins taxi) to 2 large supermarkets and not far from one of the main coach terminals. This hotel is highly recommended if you just want to relax or if you are on business in the Capital and might be staying a long period of time. Its almost a home.

Rooms were very big and nice - but note that the the configuration is King OR 2 singles, not King AND 2 singles, which resulted in us booking a room short (but Agoda was helpful). Rooms are very far from reception and breakfast, and the hotel is woefully understaffed. My father requires walking aid, called for hotel buggy 3 times over 30mins and each time staff said ok but none turned up, resulting in him having to struggle for 20mins to get to the breakfast on foot. Breakfast is ala carte, and takes a really long time. Between ordering and first dish was more than 40mins (despite there being no other guest), we gave up on the last dish after 1.5hrs waiting.
