my wife and i were on our first trip to sri lanka and due to a late night arrival in sl we decided to stay a night at colombo( we were headed to bentota). with no reviews to read we were skeptical but all was put to rest from the moment we laid eyes on the property and the skepticism was buried after meeting eranga the owner. ankinda is a tastefully done up bungalow, with nice rooms ( we stayed in the smallest) and all provisions you would need to have a more than satisfying stay there. a host adds to the stay, with his more than helpful attitude and service with a smile. he helped us immensely, considering we werent too aware of anything in a new country, with arranging for tuk tuk right at the doorstep to helping with money exchange to transfer to bentota..... everything was par excellence. we were the first people to stay in the bungalow and eranga did everything possible to make our stay extra special. though we had planned to leave early morning but we were so impressed by the place and the host that we left only early evening i wuld suggest this place to everyone without a doubt.

I was only there for one day ,very welcoming staff came to airport to pick me up, I had a best room with big lounge, kitchen, roof top area with the view of sea, good internet connection, was able to order homemade delicious srilankan dinner at night. I was able to use washing machine to wash my cloth and dry it same time to go to Kandy. Staff were so nice, malakanthi, piyathissa sorry I may spell wrong thank you for your hospitality, you both made my trip wonderful taking me every where within short period of time to visit places.(Kalutara Bodhi).I definitely recommend this place to any traveller who going to visit srilanka .It is the cheapest place I found with all the facilities which I need .water fall, fish pond inside the building very relaxing to watch and I will definitely stay in their apartment with my children on my next visit. My children going to be very happy with those facilities. Thanks again for all the staff, specially who came to drop me to catch the train. can't remember her name. I had wonderful ,unforgettable stay, hostess did not charge me after 12.30pm let me stay until 6pm at no cost .

When I cheked in, the room I was given the TV was not working. But there were other rooms with TV working. But the House Keeper said, if im to switch rooms I have to pay and additional amount, its totally the properties issue not reparing the TV. Since I needed the TV I paid and additional amount and got the other room. Housekeeper said its a large and better room, and that's the reason why I need to pay the additional amount/difference. But when I wnet to the room, its just the same, no difference and I was charged more by the House Keeper. And when I requested for an invoice, he haid he doenst have any invoices to be given. Very unprofeesional house keeper.
