Real reviews for hotels
Rome is lovely. It has plenty of good restaurants, historical sites and of course, a lot of cathedrals and churches that revives your sense of spirituality.
You can do this city in one day. Colleseum in the morning, Vatican/Sistine chapel/St Peters in the afternoon, throw in an evening food tour if you like, then head to one of the other major cities.
Be aware of the people in Vatican. Just ignore them if they said your ticket does not include St. Peter Basilica.
the city of Rome is amazing! the grand piazzas, the exquisite food, the friendly people make Rome such a beautiful city.
A nice city with a lot of historical remaining, arts, architect to discover. Shopping is also great.
Roma just a city with long history, old city with limited development caused can not higher than Vatican tower.
Ancient city with plenty of place of interest to visit. Recommend to buy museum/queue pass online and must book in advance (even with pass and tickets purchased), especially for Vatican and Borghese Gallery.
We loved Rome, just wish we had longer to explore, We did everything we wanted to but it was a bit of a rush.
Wonderful city full of culture and unbelievable history. A bit expensive. The sights are out of this world.
A juxtaposition of dramatic historical architecture and manic modern European city, Rome is full on. Crammed with tourists mingling with elegant Roman residents (easy to tell apart as the Romans were usually slender, poised and elegantly dressed whereas the tourists were usually fat and spoke with American accents) the defining feature once away from the architecture was the traffic.
We had travel a lot and think Rome is one of the most wonderful cities of the world. Is a rich history and culture.
Rome is one of the best cities in the world, you can lose yourself in it - it is wonderful to stroll in the ancient streets, particularly at night.
Beautiful tree lined streets and lots of small quaint shops. Might be a large city but maintains small village charms.
Rome is really easy to get around on foot, but beware of tours to the Vatican and Colosseum as these can take hours to get around so may need to get a taxi to and from depending on where your hotel is.
Good cultural city to visit with many museums easily accessible. Too many pickpockets running around in the city so just be careful.
Have been to Rome a few times now. Loved staying out a little, at Tolonia this time. Having seen the main beautiful tourist places before we opted for the parkland areas and local eateries and bars.
Ancient Rome has a rich history - the monuments are highly additive and fascinating; Beware of street beggars and pickpockets - lots of Italians and its refugees are jobless with or without the economic recession; Visit all monuments / places of interest as early as possible to make full use of your time while in Rome.
Beautiful city, some what overwhelming. Be prepared to queue for cultural sights or pay for guided tours in advance as we did and skip the queues.
Totally geared to tourism as you would expect and the taxi drivers and Others will try and rip you off if given half the chance.
There are a few things to do while in Rome, the main tourist attractions being the Collosseum, Ancient Ruins, The Vatican and chapels.
Watch out for the con artists at the Spanish steps. One rotten mongrel conned my husband into paying for some roses, I chased after him and got some of the money back, but that was the only thing to spoil it for us.
Great place to visit. Very hot. We were there in August of 2015. Temps were near 100 degrees F. The open tour buses were hot and uncomfortable.
It is sometimes difficult to know exactly where you are in Rome as the street names are not always present and sometimes half way down a block.
Rome is a nice place with great food and restaurants. The people are friendly and the weather is nice.
It is very beautiful city with many heritage building collection. Vatican is very impresive and St. Peter Bassilica is the best and beautiful building that i have ever seen.
4th visit and it's still a great city. Very safe, great places to eat, lots of free attractions, lots opportunity to learn.
A walking city (literally) so, if you want to truly explore Rome, bring a good pair of walking shoes.
If you love history and sightseeing this city is a must. Around every corner there is something to see - not just the well known things.
Rome is very romantic city, i love when i was there ... The culture, the building and the history of this city .
Wear comfortable shoes as you may be walking on cobbled surfaces for long distances. Well worth the walk though.
