For me the location was the number one attraction...the hotel is above Salatiga in it's own expansive grounds with stunning views. The altitude at over 1,000 meters makes for cooler mornings and evenings. Breakfast was included with my 3 nights stay and as well as standard Indonesian fayre, omelette or fried egg was also available. The hotel complex is huge and there ...

i wasn't sure what to expect in booking the kayu arum for my wife and i travelling to salatiga on business. we were pleasantly surprised (the listing showed only 1 star, but we had been told it was a four star) that the hotel was indeed a four-star standard. the pictures i had seen of the rooms looked bland, but once inside the rooms, the woodwork really made it feel "...

All the photos matched with the real condition. All villas designed by Indonesia’s renowned architect, Tan Tik Lam. A place to breath the fresh air, to calm and relax yourself. I love to open my room’s direct access door to the terrace just to feel the morning mountain breeze and looking to the greeneries. They also provide you with all your basic needs, just like a ho...

The ceiling was peeling and the bathroom was kind of gross. I got it on the super cheap so I got what I paid for I suppose. I don't want to be too critical though, it is in Salatiga and so doesn't have much competi...

Booked for family of 7 still so much plenty of space left. We're indulged with export quality furniture. The owner is very helpful and friendly, the stove didn't work and we were offered for replace...

we (including our 3 kids) planned to stay for 2 days at beringin, however my wife get stomachache (most probably due to the food she consumed on the way to salatiga), so we have to extend our stay by one night. there was a emergency facility nearby the hotel (5 minutes drive), and service was excellent. we continue our holiday the day after with bright smile.

This relatively new hotel is my favorite choice for staying in Salatiga. The location is good, it is near to UKSW. I can see mount merbabu and a paddy field from my room's balcony. The service is satisfactory. The room's facility is better than other hotels with similar price. I've also tried their newly opened restaurant (Tori's) and it was great. You should try their...

More about Salatiga
Salatiga is a small town without any major attractions. The Festival Mata Air, or Festival of Water, is a festival highlighting the sustainable use of Central Java’s water resources in three days of art and music, and it is the highlight of the year. A climb up Mount Merbabu or a visit to the shopping center named Plaza Taman Sari near the clock tower roundabout make for great day outings throughout the year. Salatiga is also a popular base for those looking to visit the mountainous town of Kepong. Here the natural splendor can be enjoyed on foot or on top a horse. During the wet season, the Umbul Songo Waterfall – translated to nine fountains – is a beautiful sight to behold.
