I loved everything about my stay at this hotel. My very reasonably priced room was spacious and had a great view of the bay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I rented a bicycle from them for a day and did a nice ride to the Movie Village at the end of a quiet coastal road. They had free quality coffee service in the lobby. If you stay multiple nights and agree ...

I am the solo traveler who stay in the sea view Japanese room. The view is so stunning. It's not a traditional Japanese hotel. They let the customers took the Japanese style dinner and breakfast in their sea view dinning room. Their dinner time is 6:00/6:30/7:00 pm. Breakfast is 7:00/7:30/8:00am. I booked a dinner but I have no idea what's that. As I didn't eat co...

It’s easy to go there, here is a old Japanese style hotel, if you like to enjoy such an accommodation, I am strongly recommend you to live here! The services were very good which is exceeded my expectations. The dinner here is very delighting and there is 2hrs free bicycle for rental...I will definitely live here if I visit to 小豆島again!

The location of the hotel really stands out, it’s exactly adjacent to the pier. What will be better than able to put the luggage once you arrive the island. Room is also clean and tidy, with a lovely view toward the pier. Staff are nice and helpful. Definitely should stay here if you gonna visit Shodo Island.

Although very simple and pared back, the stay at Mamma beat all the other hotels during our 10 day stay in Japan. Its setting is idyllic and the atmosphere serene and restful. A braceful cycling expedition round the island, wholesome food, forest bathing and a soak in the Japanese Bath at Mamma, means your spirits will be restored in no time. Recommend lunch at Shima...

The hotel is just 5 mins walk from pier and 2 mins to the bus terminal so it is easy to travel around. My hotel room is facing to the pier so I looked at the big ferry every night. The hotel isn’t expensive at all nevertheless they provide nice breakfast. But the staff isn’t there most time, sometimes I didn’t find anyone to help...

It's location is very good especially for solo traveler like myself who need to use the bus a lot- there is a bus stop right in front. There is a restaurant right next door for dinner; another one for breakfast. It's a good place to stay if you want to spend a night on the shodoshima at a low cost

Our very basic room would have been poor value but we were upgraded making the stay much more pleasant. If you are western, be prepared for a very Japanese experience. The food in the DBB package was fantastic, especially dinner, so fresh and well prepared. The staff, despite little English, were very helpful. If you want to stay on Shodoshima the choice is limited. To...

The service is excellent and the dinner is just superb. The steak n pasta were done just right n not oily at all. My 9 years old daughter said it is the best carrot she has and she ate up all from both my n my husband 's plate. The dessert was also very delicious. Every thing is more than we expected. The old couple who managed the whole things were very kind. ...

It's my second time to visit and it's the reason I visited Shodoshima island again。 If you check the pictures, the view from deck, from outdoor hotspring and breakfast place are for real! The views itself are worthy for second time visiting. Yeah the facilities are old but the staff maintain everyplace very well. The Japan style dinner is well served by table except...

Hotel Matsukaze is a real Ryokan-style home away from home. We had a nice tatami-room with great sea view and were immediately able to relax. Food was excellent, furthermore, we had a separate room for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed the quiet and secluded atmosphere. Service was outstanding (bus shuttle to catch us from the harbor, bicycles to go to Angel Road, many ...

i would love to share this very best experience of stay in this hotel to all esp. for foreigners. in my stay, there seems no other foreigner in this hotel, apparently this is a classic japanese hotel from environment, facility and staff service- this is not a complaint- they may not work very much on outward promotions. most rooms are facing to the sea, could enjoy sun...

The place reek of damp and the stench is unbearable once the air-con is turned on. I was physically repulsed the minute I enter the place which was unattended until the coca cola man came to fill the machine an hour later. It's ran by a old couple and don't believe the Pictures you see. Agoda should have taken this place off their listing. It's a rust bucket of a buil...
