What a lovely find! Charlotte House has a distinct Mediterranean style, which worked fantastically well for our early spring stay. The apartment was very spacious with ample facilities and the private terrace and braai area was also of a good size. Mark is a friendly host and was readily available if we needed anything. Very comfortable accommodation and we were delighted to be able to see whales in the bay from our room, albeit with the aid of binoculars. An added bonus was catching the last day in residence of the baby owl, before it learned to fly.

Near the gate for entry there is no button for communicating with the reception, and there is only a telephone to call. I spent half an hour, called three times, until the issue was resolved and the gate was opened to me. My native language is not English, maybe I don’t understand everything that they say to me, but I also speak French, Spanish and Russian. I am sure that tourists from other countries come to you and they have similar problems. If you had put a link to the reception desk near the gate, there would be less such problems. Alex

This is a good, comfy place to stay and the host does know how to put in the extra effort and you even have a garage space. Everything you need is there and if you are hungry and does not want to cook, there is a good clean restaurant just there (walking distance), with great value for money and good food. The units have a deck and you have a good view of the river and surrounding areas.
