What a wonderful intro to South Africa. Absolutely stunning location and the most welcoming staff. Food was delicious every day and fresh as can be as it all seems locally sourced from the farm on premises. Spa was also very pleasant. Only thing I’d prefer was if there was a way to control for flies which were moderately annoying in the spa waiting room which would otherwise have been as perfectly pleasant as everywhere else on site. Bicycles were a great way to see more of the beautiful farm which is indeed a real working farm despite how picturesque and perfect it all seems nearer the restaurants and wine tasting room. There are multiple shops on site - scent shop, farm shop and snack shop - each were nicely curated if not a bit pricey.

We were received very warmly, and our room called Haven was a real haven, beautiful and perfect, and Elsabe was outstanding and so friendly and helpful. The cheese and wine basket was perfect to have after we had a lunch at Babylonstoren, and to snack on in the evening infront of the fireplace. The bathroom goodies was exceptional and there is a touch of class in everything they offered. We woke up with birds singing and looking over the small lake, and ducks swimming. Was a beautiful start to a stunning mothers' day. We will definitely be back, and soon!

One of those poor experiences where you pay big prices and feel robbed. Checkin took almost 45 minutes as security could not get hold of the person, only to be informed by the manager to go to another apartment and find key under the doormat. We paid almost USD 275 (R3000) per night for such welcome. No one to give any proper information when we arrived and took another 30 minute to find appropriate parking close to the room. Next day housecleaning comes but does not replenish any soap/shampoo etc and later we actually get an invoice for this “housekeeping” when we were not informed this would be extra. After that we called manager several time and could not get hold of her for anything. No facilities with this room except a pool nearby. No access given to the main clubhouse facilities. For the price, we could have stayed in a 5 star hotel. Do yourself a huge favour and find another place to stay to have a good holiday you are searching for. A very disappointing experience.
