Best hotels & accommodations in Wilderness

We had a great stay at the Wilderness hotel. Staff were friendly and helped carry our baggage on arrival. I booked our stay over a few different bookings and eventually got the rooms sorted and remained in one room. The hotel are recovering from a long period being closed and one cant expect that all facilities are 100%, but the thing that matters are that they are all...

This place has been a holiday destination for me as i was growing up and it still is now, with my own little family. The hotel isn't too modern but it has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Greatest perk is that the cater for muslims. It is strictly halaal (yay!). The food was exceptional. Breakfasts were different each morning and there is a chef who makes y...

The acommodation is new, clean, and modern. However, you can get a much better room with half the price in wilderness There is really no facilities in this place. It's just the room you booked and that's it. The swimming pool is small. The dining area is small and breakfast they provide is not that good. Most of the rooms they shared balconies with each other. The...

A great place to stop over for a couple of nights in Wilderness. Beautiful view of the sea from their terrace. Denise & Lou are very friendly and helpful hosts, make you feel like you're visiting old friends in their house. Just check that you're getting what you booked with Agoda, not very clear. Best contacting the property directly after booking to be sure. A minor ...

Staying in Xanadu for 4 nights in Presidential Suite during our trip around South Africa. I don't even have a word to describe the view from this room... amazing... breathtaking... beautiful... Defenitely the best guesthouse on our way! Furthermore it's probably the best stay for last 5 years we're traveling around the world! There're so many kind words was saying to d...

WE only spent 1 night in Wilderness before heading to Knysna. We arrived late at night and had no issues with check-in. We had to drive back to town about an hour after check-in and it was quite scary as we were two girls driving alone in very dark roads and streets. Breakfast the next day was really nice and had a homey feel. We didn't really get to enjoy the pool ...

Wish we had stayed longer😌 we arrived tired and went onto the spacious terrace out front of our large room and couldn't believe our luck. Excellent value for money. We had it all ! Excellent room with an unbelievable view of beach at Wilderness, few steps through the lovely gardens with sun beds and were on the beach. Fantastic! Breakfast was great with a lovely view ...

Me and my daughter planned a peaceful weekend away and that's exactly what we found here. We stayed in room no 4. It has a beautiful little garden with a lovely view and birds singing and adding to the peaceful, beautiful atmosphere. The room consists of everything you need, a little kitchenette, tv, bathroom, etc. Carmen and her staff are the most friendly, helpful...

A beautiful Guest House ,Tastefully Furnished and immaculate in detail. The Garden room is spacious and houses a king size bed and a huge bathroom complete with rain shower. The private garden is home to many types of birds and all are welcomed with water, seed and fruit supplied by the Hosts Gerald and JD . We were fortunate to sight the Knysna Lurie .JD phoned our roo...

I spent an extra night here once I saw the view from my river facing room. So serene! The hotel is also far from the N2 highway where other hotel guests may hear the N2 traffic. The hotel has its own canoes so you can use it for free. Eden Adventures is on site if you plan to do more adventurous activities. Good wifi in the common areas. Friendly staff. Safe parking. ...

Worth staying for one night if you are eating at the restaurant and you don't want to drive home. Otherwise the room is small; the house is in activity from 16.30hrs getting ready for the evening guests; the main coast road is just across the lake and quite noisy; taxi options are scarce; and its a mile walk to the village. The restaurant food is excellent, but there a...

We were so lucky to bumped into Moontide's owner while we were at St Francis bay. We had no plan to stop at Wilderness while on the way to Cape Town. Hence it came as a pleasant addition to our trip. Upon arriving at Moontide, we were awe by this exceptionally unique guesthouse. Moontide's premise was tastefully designed with each guest room tiered, from boat house b...

I have worked in 38 countries and am visiting the grandchildren in South Africa. Daughter allowed us to take them on their first visit to Addo elephant park and then onwards to Safari Ostrich farm. Decided to stay one night at Far Hills and were completely amazed. Will definitely return when back in South Africa (but next time possibly on a romantic visit with "gra...

Situated high in the forests over Wilderness this boutique lodge is a must for any romantics who love privacy and natural surrounds. John was there to greet and show us our parking bay (even in the rain), cooked all our meals, served us; answered all our questions; and recommended where to go! Great location, great service, great accommodation.

We enjoyed our stay at Sea Paradise immensely. The staff was every helpful and friendly, the views were great as you are right on the beach. You can walk right onto the beach from the back garden, no need to cross a road or walk far. Salinas Restaurant up the road is amazing, great views and great food.

Arrived late in the evening and our host came out to welcome us and showed us to the room. Room was warm and a welcome drink was offered - Nice Touch. The room was lovely, we stayed in the Sunbird Suite. Wrap around balcony and nice and quiet. It is was also nice that they were dog friendly! We will stay there again on our travels!!

I travelled to Wilderness in July for a conference and was looking for a quiet place to stay for a few days. The Old Trading Post was the choice and I don't regret making it. It was very comfortable and the attention given by the hosts was excellent. Although a little out of the main centre, the drives each day around the lakes were genuinely pleasant and a great way t...

Hosts were so lovely, we arrived late after travel delays which wasn’t a problem at all, we were greeted right away and walked to our room. The common areas were beautiful and had every amenity you could need. We woke up to a gorgeous v...
We got a unit (I think suite 6) which allowed us access to a kitchen and lounge area. The kitchen didn't have an oven, only stove top. If you like plunger coffee take your own plunger. Everything else was absolutely great. Lovely size room, fridge and kitchenette to make coffee, electric blankets on the bed, heater in the room, lovely sized bath, good water pressure fo...

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here in Nov 2018 , sadly for only 2 nights. What a lovely couple - Sonja and Newton were outstanding. personalised interaction, and top notch service. We had a late flight into George and Newton stayed to welcome us to the place. This was the first time that we stayed at a B&B and because of Sonja and Newton, we loved it. A...

On arriving we were taken to a small cottage which was comfortable, but cold. Paul was very helpful and brought us another heater. He deserves a star!! So much was provided - cereal milk etc! Beds were warm and comfortable. Definitely worthy of a visit!

Gert and Nadia are lovely hosts and their thatched cottages on the edge of the National Park are a very relaxing place to stay for a few days in the lovely village of Wllderness. We had the loft room which was really special however the lack of a proper bathroom has bothered my husband a little. Also the ceiling heights were abit low to comfortably stand and walk in the room. Apart from that everything else was great. Breakfast was great, staff was friendly especially the property manager. Location and view was great too. Maybe a room downstair...

We arrived late after a long car journey in the dark and engulfed in smoke from the forest fires in Wilderness. Rita informed us by phone our key was in the letter box.
