It is a lovely and nicely decorated guesthouse right next to Lake Bosumtwe about 5 kms near the small village of Abono. The Slovenian owners really make you feel at home and were helpful. We had our own little house directly next to the water and the central grass field where you could relax. You can hire a canoe or go for hiking in the beautiful forest around the lake. The restaurant food is good. Due to its remote location (the unpaved road from Abono to the guesthouse is atrocious for cars, but is fun to walk in about 1 hour) not every taxi is willing to take you all the way from Abono to the guesthouse. Consider the area suitable for relaxation and clearing your mind, because there is no city entertainment nearby. It's a good way though for experiencing local village life since there are some tiny villages around going back into time. As everywhere power cuts are frequent here but the guesthouse has its own generator. Paid Wifi is available near the restaurant but is weak. There are two friendly dogs who do not bother you and two cheeky cats. It's a true oasis.

This is a really nice place, it's comfortable, the people are really friendly, I'd stay here again.

My fiance and I stayed at the Pink Hostel for 4 days while in Accra. We enjoyed our stay and really thought that the staff was helpful. There are plenty of good restaurants around, some within walking distance. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay at a clean and friendly hotel on a budget.

For travelers to Cape Coast, there is nothing about this place that resembles an international hotel. Our room was cramped, dark and smelly. The hotel is not located near any beach or major sites. There are no facilities for dining. There is no way that this is a 4 star hotel - it is at best a one star guest house. Avoid this place at all costs.

Cracked mirror. The fittings where rusty and old. Dirty walls etc. I booked 3 days left after 2. Agoda you have given this an untrue rating and I expect 1 days refubd. The pool was dirty and full of flies. I went to off a young man maybe son of managers was rude and aggresive and tried to intimidate me. This is another example of rip off Africa overcharging for slum like accomodation. Agoda do not check these places.

We were visiting Accra on a couples holiday and Sharp Guesthouse was a good introduction. The guesthouse sent a driver, Raymond, to pick us up from the airport who was very nice and provided insight to the city. The check-in process was quick and easy. Sharp is walking distance to many interesting sites and bars/restaurants in Accra so the location was good. If you’re there on a weekend you will hear music from neighboring street bars/lounges through about 4-5 in the morning but it wasn’t too loud for us. We felt very secure the entire time and the hotel staff was very gracious to us.

Many things need to improve. Ok only if you are spending minimal time in the hotel. Everything is old in the hotel.

Very polite and very helpful staff. Excellent facilities. Communication and interaction with management was very attentive and good. With training especially to catering and serving staff Asentewaa Premier Guesthouse will definitely lead the hospitality industry from the front. Would definitely visit again the next time we are in Kumasi.

Turned up at the hotel ! The Agoda price was not the price the hotel wanted me to pay . The first room we stayed in was Terrible . So after threatening to stay else where . Was upgrade to a different room . After that there were a few small problems. But nothing major . The hotel manager said they will not deal with Agoda or booking .com. again. So i doubt this review will be much help . Overall the stay was pleasant

There is not much available in Accra in this price range. Tribeca fills a mid-range need, breakfast and dinner included is also a big plus.

We stayed at Paradiso for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The hotel is a 15mins walk from the main village which makes it very peaceful and relaxing. There is a beautiful view of the sea, and a wonderful place to have your breakfast whilst listening to the waves. Gina the owner was a lovely host and an excellent cook! They are currently building a swimming pool which will make this hotel even better.

The beds sheets are not clean. The bathroom leaks. The pictures posted on website have nothing to do with how the place looks like

The room was very cozy and clean. All of the staffs are kind. The view is also nice. Swimming pool was little deep to me but clean. The bar in grondfloor is good and breakfast is delicious. I will visit this hotel again.

The hotel was comfortable and great value for money. I had a good night sleep and quite relieving to find such a place after a tedious journey. i like the way they made an attempt to pick me up at the airport when i made the request via email though i didn't wait for them as i boarded a cab due to gap in communication. Overall, my stay was pleasant and i would go there again when i am in Ghana.

The Monarch Hotel Staff were very accommodating making our long stay pleasurable. I would not mind going back to this hotel on our next visit to Accra. One improvement that can be done though is the time to prepare breakfast. Sometimes it took us an hour to get our breakfast, so we had to call way earlier in advance to have it prepared.

At arrival the reception didn't know I had booked a room from Agoda. I had to resend my confirmation email to the manager. Please sort that out. Also there is a part of the outdoor restaurant that needs fixing if that is done the place has potential to be a very good holiday destination.

Fantastic staff that goes the extra mile. Stay was great. AVH has the best price for value than any other hotel in Accra.......as I have stayed at all the good ones

We had a family room for 3 adults on a one night stay. Very comfortable, huge room with large sized en-suite bathroom. Great shower (compared to others in Ghana!) Staff very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast plentiful and very good.

Lovely peaceful hotel, friendly and clean. Off the beaten track so can take some time to get to the sights of Old Accra. If you are ok with this then relax here and enjoy

I met some trouble in my room but staffs have made best efforts for solution. Restaurant was kept nice atmosphere with nice residences.

Very accommodating and friendly staff in every department of the hotel. Felt very comfortable asking questions and they were extremely helpful and polite. The courtesy shuttle to the airport was a wonderful service.

I have been travelling to Accra for many years and haven't stayed at this hotel. I was recommended by a friend and I was very impressed with this hotel. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I travel back to Accra.

The hotel was excellent, very comfortable and spacious rooms and a place to relax with not disturbance. Location too was good close to the airport. The chauffeur was polite and professional including the porters, staff at the restaurants. They were very polite, helpful and friendly, However, the staff at reception needs more improvement in regards to attending to customers which management needs to look into. On the evening of our arrival it was only one staff member attending to about 4 visitors who had arrived. The manager was there but did not assist and this poor staff lady had to attend to all four therefore we had to wait in the lobby for 20 - 30 minutes to be checked into our rooms. Management should look into this to at least have 2 staffs at the desk to attend to visitors no matter what time of the day it is otherwise there would be bad reputation given. Overall, it was good and an enjoyable place to go to. Thanks Cathy - London

Very nice hotel and really great staff but I had one problem. I was told off for laughing !

The staff are EXCELLENT. This is why I keep returning. However the OWNERS, not the management, need to improve and update the rooms. For example the carpet in my suite was stained, and the top sheets were frayed. I also put a request in for a vegan diet, yet I had to go out and buy my own non-dairy creamer for tea/coffee and was unable to have cereal on the first day, again because of the milk situation. The kitchen staff were seemingly, completely unaware of my vegan request. For the wonderful staff alone, I would recommend Sunlodge, but would also highlight the shortcomings.

I arrived at the hotel at about 7:30am(less than 20mins from the airport without traffic) and immediately i gave them my booking details i was shown to my room and served breakfast. Just what i needed. On the second night of my stay i fell ill. The staff was so caring, even going out of their way to make sure i had all i needed. The receptionist Mary and the cab driver Daniel were both awesome, they deserve a raise!
