The hostel is really nice, clean, near to the bus stop, and restaurants. Minor things whih I don’t like: stains on the towels and sheets, the fridge was not clean when I got there, if you like sleep then stay away from the room near or facing the street because the hostel is across the school or library so you will hear children shouting and playing and even cars passing by early in the morning. Other than that the facilities are okay like kitchen, common area, bathroom and the wifi. All in all my stay was absolutely great! I would definitely stay here next time.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, hostel was clean, met most basic needs. No air conditioning in the room, but there is a fan. However that means window stays open and bugs could get in. Malta has a huge problem with flies and the dining and kitchen area of the hostel was always swarming with flies that would bug you and land on you and your food. They might want to consider installing some kind of net or mesh to keep the flies out. Overall, a good stay, but nothing too memorable.

My partner and I had the best time at Paradise Bay this summer. The facilities are fantastic. Numerous swimming pools and deck chairs to enjoy the sun. The food was brilliant! There was a wide range of food to choose from at breakfast and dinner. We went half board and didn’t expect drinks to be part of the package. THEY ARE! Drinks were included from 6:30-9:30pm which saved us a lot of money. They also have a happy hour between 4-5pm too. The hotel also accommodated to families with kids clubs available. The location is out of the way but there is a bus stop outside the hotel and a ferry port a 5 minute walk away which can take you to Gozo and Comino. We were very impressed and recommend to anyone. Thank you for making our trip to Malta and fun, yet relaxing one.

We were settled immediately upon arrival, at 10.0 am. The room is clean, the bed is white. Daily change of towels and cleaning. For 7 nights the bed was changed once. Free air conditioning. Request a room overlooking the balcony. Beautiful musical evenings. I liked everything, I recommend! Malta is an amazing country.

The owner's son Sean was welcoming and helpful. However, Maria the owner did not have the best communication before arrival. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The bed was not the comfiest and our shower water pressure was lacking. Location was great in a quiet residential area a two minute walk from the bus stop and 10 min from city central.

We had a very late arrival in Malta and chose this hotel for the 24/7 check in. Check in at 2am was easy and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and we had a lovely sunny balcony with loungers and a view of the harbour to Valletta. It would have been nice to have had longer to enjoy these facilities. However while it served our purpose for one night Sliema was not our choice of place to stay while in Malta as we prefer somewhere quieter and with more character than this area offers. We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel as the restaurant area was very sterile cafeteria style and the food selection - basic pastries and sugared cereals - not to our taste. There is a reasonable restaurant next door where we enjoyed a good cooked hot breakfast on an outdoor patio instead. The hotel were very accommodating allowing us to store our luggage until we were ready to move on later that day.

I spent there 4 nights and cannot find anything significant to criticize. Yes, the hotel definitely requires renovation, however is as clean as it could be. Yes - breakfast is basic, but this is a typical continental breakfast and you get what you want. Although I missed some vegetables a lot. I liked the staff, people are sooo nice there. The location is just perfect and downstairs you can find two retaurants with excellent local (and not only local) food. So, in general good, not too expensive place for few nights when you plan sightseeing Malta.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My room was small but clean and had everything that was mentioned in the advertising. The breakfast was also quite good. It took me about one hour to walk to St. Peters pool swimming spot. However, I think I could probably do this walk in 45 minutes. I got lost a few times. There are a few convenience stores within 2 to 3 minutes walk. A kettle is provided in the room.

We enjoyed our two week stay at this hotel. The cleanliness and friendliness of the entire staff made our trip amazing. The only con I would have is that there are no bureaus for your clothes in the room and also in the family suites you should have a microwave, so that when you brought leftovers home you were able to heat them up. A special thanks to a very dear staff member who made our trip the most amazing two weeks. Adriana Who works at the front desk was helpful every time we had called for help always smiling always pleasant and a joy to deal with. We will definitely be staying at your hotel on our next trip to Malta. Our trip to Malta was a trip with my dad who is from Malta and learning the history from him has made this amazing trip a most memorable time for my daughter and I. Thank you again to the entire staff of 115 the Strand Hotel in Gzira Malta, you are an amazing group of people who do the most amazing job. thank you again to the entire staff.

The best start to getting to know Malta we could have wished for. The friendliness and helpfulness of every member of staff was incomparable. It rubs off on the guests so you get a pleasant and understated vibe. Valletta at night shouldn’t be missed, its fortifications feel like visiting the pyramids, magnificent and overwhelming. Genius integration of the modern with the old - hats off to the government and architects on this project. Restaurants Nenu (Valletta)and Tal-Familja ( Marsascala) not to be missed, in the former rabbit livers and in the latter Maltese rabbit in red wine are both fitting “last meals”.

This is a very nice bed and breakfast like near the Marsalforn bay. Wifi is fast and room is spacious. The host Joseph was very accommodating and kind. Breakfast is very good, cheap and delicious. Only problem is the that there is no elevator so it would very hard to drag your luggage upstairs. No computer area as indicated on the website but nonetheless, it was a pleasant stay.

If you want to stay in the party center of Malta, in St. Julian's, this is the best option you have that is also great value for money. It is also next to the beach and some great food joints.

We spent a fantastic five days in the Gillieru Harbour Hotel. The Location is incredible, with direct connection to the sea, in addition the hotel has its own swimming pool on the second floor with fantastic panoramic view to the harbour. The breakfast is plentiful, and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. I hope we can return back soon to Gillieru Harbour Hotel, and can recommend to anybody who'd liket o visit Malta. Me and my friend loved our hotel room! Whilst the reception area could do with some work to make it more attractive, the reception staff, especially Philip, were very helpful and kind. The superior room itself was very nice, modern, clean and cosy. The beds were comfy, and the bathroom was very nice. During our 3 night stay, the rooms were cleaned every day whilst we were our. The only thing missing from the room I would say is a rail or rack to hang wet clothes. The view from the balcony wasn’t great due to construction works but that cannot be helped. The location was great as it was a 3min walk away from the main area which meant you were away from the noise but still close to shops and restaurants. Room had kettle, new towels every day, AC which worked a treat, iron upon request. Loved our stay, thank you District Hotel

Our stay at the hotel worked basically fine, but there were a lot of negative to talk about, for example, that we, in one of the rooms had leaks in the toilet and that there were problems with water in the shower. The later we can understand where Malta has difficulty with water. The fact that it was served juice that tasted strongly of chlorine means that we instead took a private water for breakfast. Management should also review the scheme at the pool, too much screaming, diving, jumping meant that older people could barely walk in and take a swim.

Overall very good value and in an ideal location for sightseeing around Malta. I used a shuttle transfer from the airport, and got around using the ferry and buses which were cheap and frequent. After the first night I requested to change my room as I was woken several times from noise coming up the stairwell. The receptionist was apologetic and I was quickly moved further along the corridor and had no further problems, a door at the top of the stairs might have solved this problem. There were a lot of students staying there the first night which hadn't helped the noise levels. I was disappointed the pool and roof terrace were unavailable at the moment as I had ticked 'pool' on my filters when searching for a hotel. I wasn't aware it was being renovated but perhaps this was why the hotel was less expensive than others in the area. The staff were all friendly and the breakfast good, except the fruit juices which tasted like watery squash! Would definitely go back.

Would have voted 5 stars for all if had a small fridge inside the rooms, had to go up and down every time i wanted a cold drink from the common fridge. The rest is all good. Very clean place, good breakfast, friendly staff, nice swimming pools, definately will return.

If you are not interested in stay in crowded areas, this is a nice option. Located in Qwara, the hotel is very calm and close to lots of restaurants. Ideal if you have a rented car, as there're plenty of parking spots around the hotel. I didn't have any issue in my 5 days stay. Breakfast is regular and enough.

Fantastic location, in a quiet street under 5 minutes from the waterfront, where there are restaurants, shops and the bus and ferry terminal which provides access to the rest of Malta. Staff were excellent, they answered any queries I had and were always very friendly. The property had a lot of character, my room we spacious and clean. There was also a terrace and small courtyard where you could sit and relax after a long day. The kitchen and bathrooms were more than adequate for my needs. One thing that could be seen as negative is that there was no air conditioning in my room. However I found the fan provided helped matters. Overall I would highly recommend this property and would certainly stay here again if I visited Malta.

We enjoyed the proximity to the waterfront and the amazing views from our balcony. There are good resturants just below and the biggest shopping centre in Malta, the point, is about 10min walk. Buzzing night life below too. Harbour cruises and tourists activities are offer just below the hotel. We highly recommend this newly renovated hotel, wonderful surprise. Thank you for all the staff, as well the owner, Darren, who made our stay one to remember. We had some issue with our bookings however Darren solved it eloquently, inviting us for a breakfast in his hotel waterfront med asia club. We had fantastic time there, perfect seating near the waves, great food, pools and music.

Location is in the middle of 2 popular areas (clubbing and seaside promenade) about 5-10 minutes walk. Staff ares really friendly and attentive. Breakfast has not too many options but all in great quality. No official bellboy but front desk came to help as soon as she finish the other customer check out. There is underground parking which is rear in Malta, even in 5 stars hotel are barely have the parking and need to park by the roadside.

We recently stayed at the hotel for five nights and found it to be a great location to explore Malta using public transport . While it is a walk down into Sliema waterfront , this is manageable for most people. It is a slightly more gentle and shorter walk down to the Chalet area. This side seemed less hectic than the Sliema Ferries waterfront. The facilities at the hotel are well cared for and our room was spacious and quiet, being located facing a side access to the hotel. I think this was a quieter option than street frontage. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The leisure facilities are great: rooftop pools, extensive gym and other options. We explored wonderful Valletta , Mdina and the beautiful Golden Beach. There are many restaurant options on the Sliema waterfront ( busy) and over in Valletta ( a 5 minute ferry ride ). Hint: leave plenty of time to get to the airport as the roads are very busy and can become congested. I highly recommend The Victoria .

Horizon Complex was awesome. Right on the water. There were four of us staying in the apartment which was quite large. It was easy to get around once we figured out the buses. It is in a nice quiet location.

Great apartment, beautifully clean. Mel the host was fantastic and really went out of his way to help. There are quite a few shops and cafes etc nearby. Would definitely stay there again if I was visiting the area.

Our stay at the Argento was very enjoyable indeed. As regular visitors to Malta to visit family, we have stayed in several hotels. We really enjoyed the Argento because it was a smaller, more intimate hotel and seemed to be occupied by couples and small groups of different age ranges which makes it more interesting. We enjoyed the ease and smoothness of breakfast time (as well as enjoying the food). Whilst the hotel has a cool, clean sophistication, it manages to remain friendly and intimate at the same time. We would definitely book again, subject to pricing.

Hotel comprises more than one building joined together so finding way round difficult at first, but the location and quality of food and wine in local resaurants more than make up for any shortcomings. Only negative is internet which is dead slow and regularly drops connection. Less the hotels fault than lack of bandwidth in Malta I suspect, but it does make it difficulult to do any work online. Would I go back - yes, the plusses outweigh the negatives.

Noisy with building work from 7 AM, hot breakfast was only just warm, Hotel not up to 4*, only an average 3* in my opinion, I would not stay here again
