Dandenong Motel

"We are a couple traveller and stayed here initially for a night. We liked it and stayed for another two nights. Our review: Location: 5 Stars 5 stars for location as it is near where we wanted to go: 10 minutes drive to Dandenong Market, Dandenong Malls and The Glen shopping mall (A large upscale mall at Glen Waverly). It is also within a manageable 45 minutes drive to Peninsula Hot Springs, probably the best hot mineral spa in Melbourne. We drove and so if you're taking public transport I can't be certain if this location is ideal. Cleanliness: 5 Stars The room was newly renovated (about less than a year ago), clean and neat toilet and new carpets. We were lucky as this was one of the few rooms that were newly renovated. Some of the rooms are older. Request for the newer ones. Staff: 5 Stars Thank you to the receiptionist. She was warm, hospitable, and kind enough to reserve the room for us for the third night. Facilities: 2 Stars No frills, but free and ample parking."

Sandown Regency Motor Inn & Serviced Apartments

"I personally would be embarrassed to allow a guest to stay in a room like this. There are things that could easily be rectified, very cheaply, that would make the room a little more inviting. Things like a cracked sink, broken power point, shower shelf that is barely staying up, and a non-functioning smoke detector. I was told by the front desk that the other rooms were nicer - so why not put me in a nicer room? It seems that they just couldn't care less. Anyway, the room suited me for what I needed it for, the bed was sufficiently comfortable, and with the air-conditioner set to high, it drowned out the noise of the other guests (who were on walkabout...), and the late night drag-racing on Dandenong road. The noise subsided at about 3am. Housekeeping staff were very nice, and offered fresh towels without prompting. However they opened the door with their master key before I could get to it...Lucky I had the chain on - as we were naked. As usual, you get what you pay for... :)"

Atura Dandenong

"This hotel is in an ideal location for those having to stay overnight on route from Melbourne to East Gippsland - it is far enough out of town (close to Dandenong) to be through the majority of the city traffic and to get a good head start for the remainder of the trip in the morning. Every aspect of the hotel was extremely comfortable and well presented."

"We arrived late but managed to get in when calling the after hour telephone line. There are no elevators when we checked the ground floor (the hotel is only 2 storeys), so if you have loads of luggages and your room in on the upper floor, be prepared to lug them. Staff are friendly and helpful, no complaints. There are no on-site restaurants but hotel can order for you from the nearby restaurants (there are many offering various cuisines) to be delivered to your room, and there's also a meal/breakfast pack in the fridge, but we'd rather cook or buy our own. Otherwise, it was a good stay, room conditions was excellent for either a short or long stay. The hotel's location is excellent for our itinerary driving around Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island, Mount Dandenong and the Yarra Ranges including Healesville. And since there are lots of convenient places to shop (like Coles, Dandenong Market, restaurants) nearby, its easy to get your groecery needs. We had a view of the pool but since it was a cold spring season no one made a splash. Other rooms face the outside streets. Having a full kitchen made cooking simple, and having a washer and dryer makes our stay even more convenient. Other plus include iron and ironing board, shower with tub, TV each in the living area and bedroom. Only thing is, our experience with Aussie hotels don't go down well with pillows. Somehow all the pillows at the hotels we stayed in all these times are rather small and uncomfortable. Should work on this aspect - had it not been for our exhaustion from travelling a hundred kilometres a day, we probably would not have had a restful sleep because of the pillows."

"We chose this because of the location (in middle of Philip island, Mornington and puffing billy railway). Location is good for us! later on relatives told us this is with a high crime rate in dandenong tho we do not feel bad in this 3 days. (Probably we did not hang out at night and basically we just drive out) Parking fee is $15 per night which is a bit of expensive but safety come first. Room facilities are great! Washing machine, drying machine are all new and high-tech. If u won’t have l We booked one bedroom apartment. So far is nice only bear in mind that the housekeeping service is not available on Sunday / public holidays. "

City Edge Dandenong Apartment Hotel

"The front desk - The manager Carlo is one of the most genuine, compassionate and kindest person I have ever met. I've stayed in almost every hotel in Dandenong and only CITYEDGE in Dandenong has gone above and beyond any 'Hotels' welcoming statement. Making me feel comfortable to ask for any assistance from the staff who are more than happy to oblige. The hotel has all the comforts of home and more. The staff at the front desk / reception is the main reason why I love staying at this hotel."

"We had a pleasant three nights stay in Feb 2016. This inn is a short drive away to amenities and eateries such as Dandenong Hub, Dandenong Plaza, Dandenong Market. It is also a short drive to Mornington Peninsula. Perfect place to stay if you're visiting East Melbourne and don't require heading to town. The shower area is renovated and it beautiful and clean. Above all, the staff are pleasant and very hospitable. I would certainly consider checking in again on my next visit. Keith"
