We love the location as it was right between Melbourne CBD and to the sights in Dandenong ranges or to Philip Island which fitted well in our travel itinerary. Not to mention Dandenong plaza with the supermarkets is right across and its just a little hop to the under rated gem of Dandenong Markets. Only complaint is its the only place I ever stayed in aus where they do not have a microwave in the room so we weren't able to heat up all the lovely food we bought frm the markets.

We chose this because of the location (in middle of Philip island, Mornington and puffing billy railway). Location is good for us! later on relatives told us this is with a high crime rate in dandenong tho we do not feel bad in this 3 days. (Probably we did not hang out at night and basically we just drive out) Parking fee is $15 per night which is a bit of expensive but safety come first. Room facilities are great! Washing machine, drying machine are all new and high-tech. If u won’t have l We booked one bedroom apartment. So far is nice only bear in mind that the housekeeping service is not available on Sunday / public holidays.

Newly renovated rooms which were spotlessly clean. Ample parking space and able to park in front of the unit. Best rate in Melbourne. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I needed a getaway just to be alone and so I decided to come here as it was close to work and convenient to get to. I found parking right away, the staff were lovely, all very kind and accommodating . The room was excellent, I really felt like I was in my comfort zone and was very happy to be here. Surprisingly the views did not look like 'Dandenong' when looking out the balcony, it almost looked like Vegas as the coloured poles on the main strip lit up at night and on the right you could see the dandenong mountains which was breathtaking especially at sunset. I would recommend Punthill - Dandenong to anyone who wishes to stay in the area, wether you are on business, in a group or solo, its suitable for all and very pleasant, also reasonable prices via agoda!

We are a couple traveller and stayed here initially for a night. We liked it and stayed for another two nights. Our review: Location: 5 Stars 5 stars for location as it is near where we wanted to go: 10 minutes drive to Dandenong Market, Dandenong Malls and The Glen shopping mall (A large upscale mall at Glen Waverly). It is also within a manageable 45 minutes drive to Peninsula Hot Springs, probably the best hot mineral spa in Melbourne. We drove and so if you're taking public transport I can't be certain if this location is ideal. Cleanliness: 5 Stars The room was newly renovated (about less than a year ago), clean and neat toilet and new carpets. We were lucky as this was one of the few rooms that were newly renovated. Some of the rooms are older. Request for the newer ones. Staff: 5 Stars Thank you to the receiptionist. She was warm, hospitable, and kind enough to reserve the room for us for the third night. Facilities: 2 Stars No frills, but free and ample parking.

I personally would be embarrassed to allow a guest to stay in a room like this. There are things that could easily be rectified, very cheaply, that would make the room a little more inviting. Things like a cracked sink, broken power point, shower shelf that is barely staying up, and a non-functioning smoke detector. I was told by the front desk that the other rooms were nicer - so why not put me in a nicer room? It seems that they just couldn't care less. Anyway, the room suited me for what I needed it for, the bed was sufficiently comfortable, and with the air-conditioner set to high, it drowned out the noise of the other guests (who were on walkabout...), and the late night drag-racing on Dandenong road. The noise subsided at about 3am. Housekeeping staff were very nice, and offered fresh towels without prompting. However they opened the door with their master key before I could get to it...Lucky I had the chain on - as we were naked. As usual, you get what you pay for... :)

Accommodation was good. There is full kitchenette and even a coffee capsule machine. Full size fridge is also provided. We stayed for 1 night. We booked 3bedroom apartment and the 3 rooms were ideal for us. However, it is quite difficult to locate the hotel. GPS did not bring us to the exact location and when we reached nearby Superbowl, with directions given, we were finally able to locate the hotel. Free parking within the compound. Our room was located on level 2. Unfortunately, there is no lift and we had to carry our luggages up. Receptionist was very friendly and provided answers patiently to all my queries. Room number is printed on the key itself. There is also full laundry services and a bathtub. Toiletries are also provided. There is also heat switch in the bathroom to heat up the bathroom. My kid enjoyed playing in the bathtub! Overall nice experience!

We had a pleasant three nights stay in Feb 2016. This inn is a short drive away to amenities and eateries such as Dandenong Hub, Dandenong Plaza, Dandenong Market. It is also a short drive to Mornington Peninsula. Perfect place to stay if you're visiting East Melbourne and don't require heading to town. The shower area is renovated and it beautiful and clean. Above all, the staff are pleasant and very hospitable. I would certainly consider checking in again on my next visit. Keith

This hotel is in an ideal location for those having to stay overnight on route from Melbourne to East Gippsland - it is far enough out of town (close to Dandenong) to be through the majority of the city traffic and to get a good head start for the remainder of the trip in the morning. Every aspect of the hotel was extremely comfortable and well presented.

Clean and tidy motel with comfortable spacious rooms. Good value for money. Convenient for Dandenong and about 40 mins from Melbourne CBD.

The front desk - The manager Carlo is one of the most genuine, compassionate and kindest person I have ever met. I've stayed in almost every hotel in Dandenong and only CITYEDGE in Dandenong has gone above and beyond any 'Hotels' welcoming statement. Making me feel comfortable to ask for any assistance from the staff who are more than happy to oblige. The hotel has all the comforts of home and more. The staff at the front desk / reception is the main reason why I love staying at this hotel.

Everything you would expect in a large apartment. A nice surprise was a washing machine and dryer in the room. Easy parking and only two levels. No elevators so need to travel light or swap clothes into a smaller bag. Very close to Dandenong Hospital too.

The Motor Inn is located in a central location of south Dandanong. It has hotel, bistro and other eating facilities within easy walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

I checked in on Friday night and wanted to check out Saturday 8:30am. It turns the reception is not open until 10:00. That means I have to re-arrange my schedule for the day. Not wanting to be even more late for my next appointment, I decided to wait at the front door by 9:45am, 10:00 has passed and they are still not open. The door was opened exactly at 10:07am. No one is there at reception, it turn out the lady in the reception is also the staff organising the opening of bar and pokies machine. By the time she went to the reception it is now 10:11am. She said, they need to check the room before I can have my cash deposit of $200.00. Before I managed to get my deposit, it was already 10:38 and the staff even tried to educate me on deposits. I told her she should not try to educate me and I know. Her reply was, I should not talk back to her like that and she will get be banned in the hotel. HOW RUDE SHE WAS. What is she thinking?

Diane was a very friendly and helpful host! If you like country style living, this is the place to be! We were so wow-ed by the level of details put into the interior design of the room. Diane also prepared a generous serving of breakfast for us to prepare the next day. This place is also a very short walk to the Puffing Billy, we are so glad that we don't need to squeeze with the crowd for parking space! I've used a lot of exclamation mark here because we were really glad we stayed here. If only we can stay longer!

A lovely place to stay at least a night. Spend time to enjoy the stunning view of the greenery ,night view and stars in the dark sky. A very quiet and beautiful home stay. House are fully equip with basic facilities for ertainments, cooking, washing and drying. And the owner even included two emergency touch light in the house! The spa facility and toiletries are fantastic. Suitable for couple or family who want to have a romantic getaways or want to run awhile from city. Cons: The house is too big and too quiet for 2 adults and 2 young kids 🤣. And there is no shopping or supermarket in the neighbour so do buy your food before you come and you can cook in the nice kitchen. Besides that try to reach here before night fall. It is really a bit hard to find⁶ the entrance and drive in to the cottage.
