The staff are very friendly and efficient. Always willing to hope an extra mile. The hotel is in a great location in the middle of Toledo City which is a walking distance to the Church, pier, market and shops.
Should be cheaper”
The staff were great but but I think the lack of competition in Toledo has allowed the hotel to keep their prices slightly high when you compared to other Days Hotels in the Philippines, that charge the same rate, for a bigger and slightly better room, with free Wi-Fi. This hotel only offers Wi-Fi in the lobby....Having said that, our stay was very enjoyable
nice provided you avoid holidays and festivals”
As of the end of 2018 this is still the only hotel in or near the small town of Toledo and this is not likely to change, as a major source of clientele is the Chinese who are building the new coal fired power plant, which is probably finished by now. But during xmas and the annual festival it is fully booked. Amazingly this is part of the huge Days chain and so a few little touches of quality that you would not otherwise see such as the amazing menu (for a tiny town that is not a tourist spot) with xlnt Chinese, Japanese and Korean food and nice breakfast buffet. There is now a small but nice pool and you can also swim in the sea (but no beach). The gym is pathetic but you can manage a few exercises. I got an economy room which was ok but minimal, but it had xlnt hot water and wifi my whole 3 day stay. Short walk to the markets, pharmacy, bank etc. Xlnt staff and food. Uber, Grab etc don't operate here but the hotel will get you private taxi's or take you to the bus terminal nearby
nice Hotel, nice staff & clean room”
We enjoyed stay at Days Hotel Toledo everything was great! The staff was very friendly.
Could be great”
I'm not sure why there is so much hate for Days Hotel in the feedback here. It's far from the worst place I have stayed at in The Philippines. It's a nice, clean building, a short walk from the ferry wharf and main part of Toledo. It definitely needs some sort of landscaping work done to take advantage of it's ocean location though and it urgently needs upgraded Wifi capabilities. It could be a really special place.
good deal for a nice hotel”
I got a good deal through agoda.com so I went to read the comments thinking that there must be a catch somewhere. There were several complaints on how the hotel was so old and not too clean. Since there were no other options, I decided to book with low expectations. However, albeit the building is older and carpet is a bit threadbare, it wasn't bad at all. In fact, the place was clean, not spic and span, but clean enough for me to sleep comfortably. The bed was firm and the pillows were fluffy. The rooms and bathroom were spacious. The bathroom fixtures need a bit of updating but it served its purpose. The price of almost P2k ($40) per room came with a free buffet breakfast so it was a really sweet deal.
Nice hotel with very friendly staff”
My stay in Toledo was good. The staff were very friendly. There was an issue getting towels. everything else was great.
Days Hotel in Toledo City, Cebu is at the heart of the city and sits by the water. Great location. Our stay came with breakfast, and the breakfast was decent. The rooms themselves are in good condition, however, the hallway of this hotel needs major work. Despite the problem with their hallways, overall our stay was enjoyable.
clean and comfortable room, very close to the harbor and night market, great view, great choice for Toledo.
Yay another title!”
I arrived at Days hotel. I was told there was no wifi in the rooms. On Agoda it was listed as having wifi in the rooms. I asked if there was another hotel in the area and Days is the only one. The staff was cool though and they rigged a router in my room so I had internet access while I was there. I would say if you're staying in Toledo you don't have much of a choice but to stay at Days. For what it is it's a bit over priced. I guess lack of competition has given them some extra liberties. The hotel seemed pretty much empty. There was some decent live music in the courtyard the night I stayed there which was nice since there wasn't much going on around Toledo.
Dirty and limited amenities”
The location was ok. Near the boat dock and church. Breakfast was good. However, the hotel conditions were poor. The A/C barely worked. I had 1 warm shower out of 4. No hot water for the others. The toilet barely has enough water to flush. There were ants everywhere. They got into my clothes, toiletries, etc. In the bathroom there was just soap and towels. No shampoo or anything else. No wifi in the rooms; just a slow connection in the lobby, which was hot and steamy. I want to say I'd never stay here again, but there are limited options in Toledo City. I stayed in a couple hotels in Cebu City for the same price (~$45 U.S.) that were MUCH nicer.
Efficient, clean friendly standard 3 star hotel. ”
Did not start well as the handle to flush the hotel came off on first use...so maintenance glued it on again and it came off again so we asked for a room change, so they moved us along the corridor but no longer an ocean view. So I complained again and we got our ocean view room. Standard rooms were very ordinary but perfectly adequate. Beds comfortable and room clean but no safe box, little hanging space and no minibar. The area at the front of the hotel has the space for a wonderful pool and surrounding area with loungers etc. sadly there is no swimming pool just a rather unkempt piece of land more suitable for chipping out of the rough! Overall though it was a pleasant stay.
Jinky from the United States”
The only plus about Days Hotel - Toledo is that, it was conveniently close to where my family lives. The hotel room #218 required a new so called wood floor, bathroom required fixture maintenance plus bathroom room door does not close. Breakfast was sub par, overall the hotel is comparable to a truck stop motel in the U.S. Lack of smiles from staff
Had a good stay here. The staff are so welcoming. It is such a nice place and I don't know why I saw a lot of bad reviews about this hotel.
Very convenient because it is very close to port of Toledo and the office of the ferry company
Room very clean But flooring Needs Replacement Also Drainage very poor as well a water pressure in shower Very low Couldn't use Swimming Pool Due to being Green in colour with Algee I never saw anyone Cleaning it In the 3 Days I stayed there Also they never changed the Bedding or Towels Every Day The Lifts a joke All in All the whole place needs Updating for the money there Charging The only reason I booked in There was because my Lawyer is in the Building next door and Very Convenient Locaction to Town Centre Regards Elmer Siebel-From London UK
Not so good...”
Upon check in I asked to have the beds put together and was told to do it myself. Outside my window they had the hotel dog which barked non stop. I requested a room away from the dog and the said they didn't have any but the hotel was empty of life like a graveyard. They moved the dog but the next morning at 6:30 I was awaken again by the dog barking outside my window. I complained again and they moved it again. I didn't have hot water in my room ever. The toilet clogged after the first night. The TV is from 1995... A 16 inch Tube television... Had to go to the front desk for remote batteries. Wanted to buy a bottle of wine but couldn't because they didn't have any prices for them! Breakfast was tollerable at best, scrambled eggs are very undercooked (soupy). This place suffers from a lack of competition. If you have to go to Toledo.. look for something else although you won't find it online. I saw an Apartelle and a few pension houses that would be a better option surely.
paying 5 stars price for a 2 stars hotel...only good point is the location.. but that's the only hotel in toledo :-(
Unplanned overnght stay”
A sudden change of plan resulted in the need for a stay in Toledo. The room was OK, I booked a large double bed and found two small singles. My biggest irritation was the shower. The water is heated by small electric heaters installed in every room. How can a hotel not replace a heater when it is known to be faulty? (the heater was in a cupboard and cover lying next to it)
I initially book for 1 day via Agoda since they had a sale and I wanted to experience their service. The room was facing unity park, not really a good view, it was spacious, with table and chair, great for working. However, the phone is not working, TV remote is not responsive, below the lavatory smells awful! The CRs exhaust is not fully functional, but it works. After they one, I decided to extend another day just to chill considering there’s no other hotel options nearby. I went to the front desk and she quoted me 2 different prices for the next day accommodation. I went back to the run confused, and luckily found another deal in Agoda, prompting me to extend for another 2 days. The female FO in the morning is not very helpful. Her tone is a bit off, but I can live with it. Was hoping for a better FO assigned there. The housekeeping and kitchen personnel were really helpful and nice!
